   (1) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).

B. Get Access
   (1) Open the access panel:
     (a) FOR [2804GM] (CABLE CONTROL)
- open 195BB
     (b) FOR [2805GM] (CABLE CONTROL)
- open 196BB
   (2) Open the applicable MLG door (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-010-001).

C. Safety Precautions
   (1) Obey the flight configuration precautions (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-860-001).
   (2) Disconnect the MLG door actuating-cylinder 2523GM (2522GM) from the MLG door (Ref. AMM TASK 32-31-35-000-001).
   (3) Remove the 460005835 SLEEVE - GROUND LOCK from the actuating cylinder 2523GM (2522GM).
   (4) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position:
  • on the MLG door control-handle to tell persons not to operate the lever,
  • on the panel 40VU in the cockpit,
  • on the ground service panel of the Green hydraulic system.

E. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Put the door ground-opening handle in the CLOSED position.
   (2) Pressurize the Green hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-863-001) or (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-863-001).
   (3) Support the body of actuating cylinder 2523GM (2522GM), to make sure that the ram can retract.
   (4) Move the MLG door control-handle to the closed position.
   (5) Depressurize the Green hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-001) or (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-864-001).
   (6) Disconnect the PTU isolation coupling (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-860-001).
   (7) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) in position.

F. Install the Rigging
   (1) Put the 98DNSA20208040 RIGGING PIN through the actuating lever and into the bypass valve 2517GM (2518GM).

4. Procedure
Subtask 32-12-16-020-050-A
A. Remove the Control Cable (10)
WARNING: USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
   (1) Remove and discard the lockwire from the locknuts (9) and (16).
   (2) Loosen the locknuts (9) and (16).
   (3) Remove and discard the cotter pin (18).
   (4) Remove the nut (19) and the washer (20).
   (5) Disconnect the angle joint (17) from the control handle (21) and the control cable (10) from the bracket (15).
   (6) Remove and discard the cotter pin (5).
   (7) Remove the nut (4), the washer (3), the bolt (6) and the bush (7).
   (8) Disconnect the rod end (1) from the lever (2) and the control cable (10) from the bracket (8).
   (9) Remove the control cable (10) from the aircraft:
     (a) FOR [2804GM] (CABLE CONTROL)
remove the nut (11), the bolts (14), the spacers (12) and remove the control cable (10).
     (b) FOR [2805GM] (CABLE CONTROL)
remove the nuts (11), the bolts (14) and remove the control cable (10).
