DO NOT TOUCH THE HYDRAULIC SYSTEM COMPONENTS FOR A SHORT TIME AFTER THE ENGINE IS SHUTDOWN. THE ENGINE COMPONENTS STAY HOT FOR SOME TIME AND CAN CAUSE INJURY.

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the aircraft hydraulic systems are depressurized (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-001) (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-002) (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-003).
(2) Make sure that the hydraulic reservoirs are depressurized (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
(3) Make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Green, Blue and Yellow hydraulic systems:
Subtask 29-14-49-941-057-A (1) Make sure that the aircraft hydraulic systems are depressurized (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-001) (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-002) (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-003).
(2) Make sure that the hydraulic reservoirs are depressurized (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
(3) Make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Green, Blue and Yellow hydraulic systems:
- On access door 197CB, on the ground service panel of the Green hydraulic system
- On access door 197EB, on the ground service panel of the Blue hydraulic system
- On access door 198CB, on the ground service panel of the Yellow hydraulic system.
B. Safety Precautions
(1) Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than five minutes before you do this procedure.
(2) On AIR COND panel 30VU:
Subtask 29-14-49-010-063-A (1) Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than five minutes before you do this procedure.
(2) On AIR COND panel 30VU:
- Make sure that the APU BLEED pushbutton switch is released (ON legend off).
- Make sure that the ENG 1(2) BLEED pushbutton switch is released (OFF legend on).
- Make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to operate the pneumatic system.
- Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Green, Blue and Yellow hydraulic systems.
- Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR 1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
- Make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to energize FADEC 1(2).
- Make sure that the ENG/MODE selector switch is in the NORM position.
- Make sure that the ENG/MASTER 1(2) control switch was in the OFF position not less than five minutes before you do this procedure.
- Make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to operate the ENG/MODE selector switch and the ENG/MASTER 1(2) control switch.
- Make sure that the 98D27803000000 LOCKING TOOL-FLAP SLAT LEVER,INT. POSITION is in position on the flap/slat control lever.
- Make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position on the flap/slat control lever to tell persons not to operate the flap/slat controls.
- Make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to pressurize the pneumatic system.
C. Close Access

D. Deactivation of the Thrust Reverser System for Maintenance
Subtask 29-14-49-010-064-A WARNING:
YOU MUST DEACTIVATE THE THRUST REVERSER BEFORE YOU DO WORK ON OR AROUND IT. IF YOU DO NOT, THE THRUST REVERSER CAN OPERATE ACCIDENTALLY AND CAUSE AN INJURY AND/OR DAMAGE.
(1) Make sure that you did the deactivation of the thrust reverser system for maintenance (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-040-807). E. Get Access
(1) Make sure that the thrust-reverser cowl doors are closed (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-00-410-806):

Subtask 29-14-49-420-056-A
A. Installation of the Reservoir Pressurization Tubes in the Pylon
(2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Make sure that the pressurization tube end-fittings are serviceable.
(4) Installation of the tube (1)
(a) Remove the PLUG-BLANKING from each disconnected line end.
(b) Put the tube (1) in position in the pylon.
(c) Connect the tube (1) to the pylon/wing interface.
(d) Install the clamps (3), the washers (4) and bolts (5) to the tube (1).
(e) Install the clamp (18), the washer (19) and bolt (20) with the clamp (16).
(f) Install the nut (17).
(5) Installation of the tube (2)
(a) Remove the PLUG-BLANKING from each disconnected line end.
(b) Put the tube (2) in position in the pylon.
(c) Make sure that the flanged-bulkhead union of the tube (2) is in position at the pylon lower spar.
(d) At rib (8), connect the tube (2) with the tube (1).
(e) Install the clamps (3), the washers (4) and bolts (5) to the tube (2).
(f) Install the two half-clamp blocks (7) and (9) with the bush (12) to the tube (2).
(g) Put the closing clamp block (13) in position between the two half-clamp blocks (7) and (9).
(h) Make sure that all bushes are correctly installed in the half-clamp blocks (7) and (9).
(i) Install the two half-clamp blocks (7) and (9) to the rib (8).
(j) Install the washers (15) and bolts (14).
(k) Tighten the bolts (14).
(l) Install the washers (10), bolts (11) and self-locking nuts (6).
(m) At rib (8), hold the union of the tube (1) with a WRENCH - STANDARD and TORQUE the coupling nut of the tube (2) to between 1.7 and 1.5 m.daN (12.54 and 11.06 lbf.ft )

(6) Hold the wing union at the pylon/wing interface with a WRENCH - STANDARD and TORQUE the coupling nut of the tube (1) to between 1.7 and 1.5 m.daN (12.54 and 11.06 lbf.ft )
.
(7) Identify the tightened union nuts with a red line
(Ref. AMM TASK 20-23-22-910-001).
(8) Tighten the bolts (5), (11), (14), and (20).
5. Close-upCAUTION:
USE TWO WRENCHES TO REMOVE OR INSTALL THE TUBE COUPLING NUTS:
(1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.- ONE WRENCH TO HOLD THE UNION, AND
- ONE TO LOOSEN OR TIGHTEN THE COUPLING NUT.
(2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Make sure that the pressurization tube end-fittings are serviceable.
(4) Installation of the tube (1)
(a) Remove the PLUG-BLANKING from each disconnected line end.
(b) Put the tube (1) in position in the pylon.
(c) Connect the tube (1) to the pylon/wing interface.
(d) Install the clamps (3), the washers (4) and bolts (5) to the tube (1).
(e) Install the clamp (18), the washer (19) and bolt (20) with the clamp (16).
(f) Install the nut (17).
(5) Installation of the tube (2)
(a) Remove the PLUG-BLANKING from each disconnected line end.
(b) Put the tube (2) in position in the pylon.
(c) Make sure that the flanged-bulkhead union of the tube (2) is in position at the pylon lower spar.
(d) At rib (8), connect the tube (2) with the tube (1).
(e) Install the clamps (3), the washers (4) and bolts (5) to the tube (2).
(f) Install the two half-clamp blocks (7) and (9) with the bush (12) to the tube (2).
(g) Put the closing clamp block (13) in position between the two half-clamp blocks (7) and (9).
(h) Make sure that all bushes are correctly installed in the half-clamp blocks (7) and (9).
(i) Install the two half-clamp blocks (7) and (9) to the rib (8).
(j) Install the washers (15) and bolts (14).
(k) Tighten the bolts (14).
(l) Install the washers (10), bolts (11) and self-locking nuts (6).
(m) At rib (8), hold the union of the tube (1) with a WRENCH - STANDARD and TORQUE the coupling nut of the tube (2) to between 1.7 and 1.5 m.daN (12.54 and 11.06 lbf.ft )
. (6) Hold the wing union at the pylon/wing interface with a WRENCH - STANDARD and TORQUE the coupling nut of the tube (1) to between 1.7 and 1.5 m.daN (12.54 and 11.06 lbf.ft )
. (7) Identify the tightened union nuts with a red line

(8) Tighten the bolts (5), (11), (14), and (20).

B. Connection of the Convoluted Bleed Hose
(2) Install the washers (21) and bolts (22) that attaches the tube (2) to the pylon lower spar.
(3) Tighten the bolts (22).
(4) Apply Silicone Sealant-High Temp. - - (Material No.06BJB1) to the bolt ends (22) and to the anchor nuts of the flanged-bulkhead union of the tube (2).
(5) Apply a bead of Silicone Sealant-High Temp. - - (Material No.06BJB1) around the flanged-bulkhead union of the tube (2) at the pylon lower spar.
(6) Install the thermal blankets (Ref. AMM TASK 54-51-61-400-802).
(7) Connect the convoluted bleed hose (23) to the tube (2).
(a) Tighten the coupling nut of the convoluted bleed hose (23) to the tube (2) with your hand.
(b) Install the washer (25), bolt (26) and nut (24).
(c) TORQUE the coupling nut of the convoluted bleed hose (23) to between 1.7 and 1.5 m.daN (12.54 and 11.06 lbf.ft )
.
(8) Identify the tightened union nuts with a red line
(Ref. AMM TASK 20-23-22-910-001).
(9) Tighten the bolts (26).
Subtask 29-14-49-410-056-A CAUTION:
USE TWO WRENCHES TO REMOVE OR INSTALL THE TUBE COUPLING NUTS:
(1) Do an electrical bonding on the lower spar, at the bolts (22) position (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802). - ONE WRENCH TO HOLD THE UNION, AND
- ONE TO LOOSEN OR TIGHTEN THE COUPLING NUT.
(2) Install the washers (21) and bolts (22) that attaches the tube (2) to the pylon lower spar.
(3) Tighten the bolts (22).
(4) Apply Silicone Sealant-High Temp. - - (Material No.06BJB1) to the bolt ends (22) and to the anchor nuts of the flanged-bulkhead union of the tube (2).
(5) Apply a bead of Silicone Sealant-High Temp. - - (Material No.06BJB1) around the flanged-bulkhead union of the tube (2) at the pylon lower spar.
(6) Install the thermal blankets (Ref. AMM TASK 54-51-61-400-802).
(7) Connect the convoluted bleed hose (23) to the tube (2).
(a) Tighten the coupling nut of the convoluted bleed hose (23) to the tube (2) with your hand.
(b) Install the washer (25), bolt (26) and nut (24).
(c) TORQUE the coupling nut of the convoluted bleed hose (23) to between 1.7 and 1.5 m.daN (12.54 and 11.06 lbf.ft )
. (8) Identify the tightened union nuts with a red line
(Ref. AMM TASK 20-23-22-910-001).
(9) Tighten the bolts (26).
C. Close Access
(1) Close the thrust-reverser cowl-doors (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-00-410-806):
