B. Get Access
   (1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position at the access door 822.
   (2) Open the access door 822 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-010-002).
Subtask 29-12-00-860-052-A
C. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
   (2) Do the EIS start procedure (upper ECAM DU and lower ECAM DU only)
(Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-001).
   (3) On the ECAM control panel on the center pedestal, press the HYD pushbutton switch (P/BSW). Make sure that the HYD page is shown on the ECAM lower DU.
   (4) Make sure that the ECAM does not show any of these conditions:
  • Low air pressure in the Blue reservoir,
  • Low fluid level in the Blue reservoir.
   (5) If necessary, pressurize the reservoir (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-002).
   (6) If necessary, add fluid to the reservoir (Ref. AMM TASK 12-12-29-611-001).
   (7) On the overhead panel 40VU, make sure that the BLUE/ELEC PUMP P/BSW is set to AUTO (FAULT and OFF legends not on).

A. Do this test:
ACTION
RESULT
1.On panel 50VU:
  • push the BLUE PUMP OVRD P/BSW.
On panel 50VU:
  • the ON legend of the BLUE PUMP OVRD P/BSW comes on.

The electric pump of the Blue hydraulic system starts.

On the ECAM lower DU:
  • the BLUE hydraulic system is pressurized to approximately 3000 psi.
2.On the phase unbalance detector:
  • press and hold the TEST P/B.
On the phase unbalance detector:
  • the test indicator light comes on.

The electric pump of the Blue hydraulic system stops.

    On the overhead panel 40VU:
  • the BLUE ELECT PUMP/FAULT light comes on.

    On the ECAM lower DU:
  • the pressure in the BLUE system is shown as 0 psi.
  • the color of the system name changes from white to amber.
3.On the phase unbalance detector:
  • release the TEST P/B.
On the phase unbalance detector:
  • the test indicator light stays on.
4.On the overhead panel 40VU:
  • push the BLUE ELEC PUMP P/BSW.
On the overhead panel 40VU:
  • the OFF light of the BLUE ELEC PUMP P/BSW comes on.

    On the overhead panel 50VU:
  • the ON light of the BLUE PUMP OVRD P/B goes out.

    On the phase unbalance detector:
  • the test indicator light goes out.
5.On the overhead panel 40VU:
  • push and release the BLUE ELEC PUMP P/BSW.
On the overhead panel 40VU:
  • the OFF light of the BLUE ELEC PUMP P/BSW goes out.
6.On the overhead panel 50VU:
  • push the BLUE PUMP OVRD P/B.
On the overhead panel 50VU:
  • the ON light of the BLUE PUMP OVRD P/B comes on.

The electric pump of the Blue hydraulic system starts to operate.

On the lower DU of the ECAM:
  • the pressure in the Blue hydraulic system is 3000 psi approximately,
  • the color of the system name changes from amber to white.
7.On the overhead panel 40VU:
  • push the BLUE ELEC PUMP P/BSW.
On the overhead panel 40VU:
  • the OFF light of the BLUE ELEC PUMP P/BSW comes on.
