Subtask 29-11-15-860-053-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
WARNING: OBEY THE HYDRAULIC SAFETY PROCEDURES.
   (1) Obey the hydraulic safety procedures (Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-910-002).
   (2) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) are in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Green hydraulic system:
  • In the cockpit on the hydraulic section 40VU of the overhead panel
  • On the ground service panel of the Green hydraulic system.
   (3) Make sure that the Green hydraulic system is depressurized and put it in the maintenance configuration.
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
   (4) Make sure that the reservoir of the Green hydraulic system is depressurized (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
   (5) Make sure that one door of the main gear is open (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-010-001).
   (6) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT) is in position.
   (7) Make sure that the CONTAINER 4 L (1 USGAL) is in position below the PTU manifold.
   (8) Make sure that the isolation coupling of the Power Transfer Unit (PTU) is disconnected (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-860-001).

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
WARNING: OBEY THE HYDRAULIC SAFETY PROCEDURES.
   (1) Obey the hydraulic safety procedures (Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-910-002).
   (2) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) are in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Green hydraulic system:
  • In the cockpit on the hydraulic section 40VU of the overhead panel
  • On the ground service panel of the Green hydraulic system.
   (3) Make sure that the Green hydraulic system is depressurized and put it in the maintenance configuration.
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
   (4) Make sure that the reservoir of the Green hydraulic system is depressurized
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
   (5) Make sure that one door of the main gear is open (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-010-001).
   (6) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT) is in position.
   (7) Make sure that the CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL) is in position below the PTU manifold and below the HP manifold of the Green hydraulic system to collect unwanted hydraulic fluid.
   (8) Make sure that the isolation coupling of the Power Transfer Unit (PTU) is disconnected (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-860-001).

4. Procedure
Subtask 29-11-15-560-050-B
A. Preparation of the Replacement Component
   (1) Remove the components which are attached to the removed manifold (35) as follows:
     (a) Remove the brake selector valve 23GG (Ref. AMM TASK 32-42-11-000-001).
     (b) Remove the priority valve 1064GM (Ref. AMM TASK 29-11-33-000-001).
     (c) Remove the bobbins (14) and (30) from the manifold (35) (Ref. AMM TASK 20-23-21-911-001).
     (d) Remove and discard:
       1 The square-section seals (62) and (65).
       2 The O-rings (60) and (63).
       3 The back-up rings (15), (61), (64) and (31).
     (e) Put the bobbins into BAG - PLASTIC to keep them clean.
     (f) Remove the check valve 1093GM and discard the O-ring (34).
     (g) Install a PLUG - BLANKING on the open ports of the manifold (35).
     (h) Install the blanking plugs on all of the removed components.
   (2) Install the removed components on the replacement manifold as follows:
     (a) Remove the blanking plugs from the manifold (35) and the components.
     (b) Lubricate the new O-rings and the threads of the components with Phosphate Ester Hydraulic Fluid-General Power - - (Material No.02ABA1) .
     (c) Put the new AIPC 29-11-15-02-200 O-RING (34) in position on the check valve 1093GM.
     (d) Install the check valve 1093GM in port D of the manifold (35).
     (e) Apply Phosphate Ester Hydraulic Fluid-General Power - - (Material No.02ABA1) to the new:
       1 Square-section seals (62) and (65).
       2 O-rings (60) and (63).
       3 Back-up rings (15), (61), (64) and (31).
     (f) Put the new AIPC 29-11-15-02-040 BACK-UP RINGS (61) in position on the sides of the bobbins (14) without the identification grooves (equipment side).
     (g) Put the new
AIPC 29-11-15-02-050 SQUARE SECTION SEALS (62) in position on the sides of the bobbins (14) without the identification grooves (equipment side).
     (h) Put the new
AIPC 29-11-15-02-030 BACK-UP RINGS (15) in position on the sides of the bobbins (14) with the identification grooves (manifold side).
     (i) Put the new
AIPC 29-11-15-02-020 O-RINGS (60) in position on the sides of the bobbins (14) with the identification grooves (manifold side).
     (j) Install the bobbins (14) with the identification grooves in the ports of the manifold (35) (
Ref. AMM TASK 20-23-21-911-001).
     (k) Put the new AIPC 29-11-15-02-130 BACK-UP RINGS (64) in position on the sides of the bobbins (30) without the identification grooves (equipment side).
     (l) Put the new
AIPC 29-11-15-02-140 SQUARE-SECTION SEALS (65) in position on the sides of the bobbins (30) without the identification grooves (equipment side).
     (m) Put the new
AIPC 29-11-15-02-120 BACK-UP RINGS (31) in position on the sides of the bobbins (30) with the identification grooves (manifold side).
     (n) Put the new
AIPC 29-11-15-02-110 O-RINGS (63) in position on the sides of the bobbins (30) with the identification grooves (manifold side).
     (o) Install the bobbins (30) with the identification grooves in the ports of the manifold (35) (
Ref. AMM TASK 20-23-21-911-001).
     (p) Install the priority valve 1064GM (Ref. AMM TASK 29-11-33-400-001).
     (q) Install the brake selector valve 23GG (Ref. AMM TASK 32-42-11-400-001).

B. Installation of the Manifold
CAUTION: USE A SECOND WRENCH TO APPLY COUNTERTORQUE TO THE UNION WHEN YOU DISCONNECT/CONNECT HYDRAULIC LINES ON UNIONS. IF YOU DO NOT USE THE SECOND WRENCH, THERE IS A RISK THAT YOU WILL LOOSEN OR TIGHTEN THE UNION TOO MUCH.
CAUTION: YOU MUST INSTALL HYDRAULIC TUBES WITH HYDRAULIC FLUID AS LUBRICANT.
   (1) Obey the instruction of the installation of the hydraulic tubes (Ref. AMM TASK 20-23-11-911-001).
   (2) Remove the sealant from the mating surface of the manifold (35) and the aircraft structure with a SCRAPER - NON METALLIC.
   (3) Examine the structure of the aircraft in the area of the manifold attachment for cracks, corrosion or other damage.
   (4) Apply a layer of Polysulfide Sealant-Low Adhesion Brushable - (Material No.06AEA1) to the mating surface of the manifold (35).
   (5) Put the manifold (35) and the spacer (13) in position on the aircraft and install the four washers (12) and nuts (11). Do not tighten the nuts (11).
   (6) Remove the blanking plugs from the pipe end-fittings and the unions on the manifold (35).
   (7) Make sure that the hydraulic line end-fittings are serviceable.
   (8) Apply Phosphate Ester Hydraulic Fluid-General Power - - (Material No.02ABA1) to the threads of the pipe end-fittings.
   (9) Connect the pipe (25) to the union (27).
   (10) TORQUE the pipe end-fitting (26) to between 10.7 and 9.7 m.daN (78.91 and 71.53 lbf.ft ) T.
   (11) Connect the pipe (21) to the union (23).
   (12) TORQUE the pipe end-fitting (22) to between 3.2 and 2.9 m.daN (23.60 and 21.39 lbf.ft )
T.
   (13) Install the pipe (17) between the union (19) and the filter 2584GM.
   (14) TORQUE the pipe end-fittings (18) and (54) to between 5.9 and 5.4 m.daN (43.51 and 39.82 lbf.ft )
T.
   (15) Connect the pipe (1) to the union (3).
   (16) TORQUE the pipe end-fitting (2) to between 8.3 and 7.5 m.daN (61.21 and 55.31 lbf.ft )
T.
   (17) Install the pipe (32) between the union (43) and the check valve 1093GM.
   (18) TORQUE the pipe end-fittings (33) and (42) to between 8.3 and 7.5 m.daN (61.21 and 55.31 lbf.ft )
T.
   (19) Install the pipe (7) between the unions (9) and (41).
   (20) TORQUE the pipe end-fittings (8) and (40) to between 10.7 and 9.7 m.daN (78.91 and 71.53 lbf.ft )
T.
   (21) Make a mark on each pipe end-fitting after you apply the standard or specific tightening torque value (
Ref. AMM TASK 20-23-22-910-001).
   (22) TORQUE the nuts (11) to between 0.8 and 0.7 m.daN (70.80 and 61.95 lbf.in ) T.
   (23) Connect the bonding strap (70) to the structural attachment (69) and the manifold (35) with the bolts (66), the washers (67) and the nuts (68).
   (24) Connect the bonding strap (51) to the structural attachment (52). Install the bolt (49), the washer (50) and the nut (53).
   (25) Tighten the nut (53).
   (26) Seal the connections of the bonding strap (51) with Polysulfide Sealant_General Purpose Brushable - (Material No.
06AAA1) .
   (27) Apply Coating_- Flexible Structure (Material No.04QAB2) (dyed blue) to the sealant.
   (28) Remove the blanking caps from the electrical connections.
   (29) Make sure that all the electrical connections are clean and in the correct condition.
CAUTION: MAKE SURE THAT THE BONDING STRAP(S) IS(ARE) CONNECTED BEFORE YOU CONNECT THE ELECTRICAL WIRE(S).
   (30) Connect the electrical connectors (29) and (36) to the receptacles on the manifold (35).

C. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

   (2) Pressurize the reservoir of the Green hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-002).

E. Test
   (1) Do the operational test of the PTU (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-710-003).
   (2) Do the operational check of the normal braking system (Ref. AMM TASK 32-42-00-710-001).
   (3) During the operational test examine the connections of the manifold (35) and make sure that there are no leaks.
5. Close-up
Subtask 29-11-15-860-055-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Put the aircraft back to the serviceable condition.
   (1) Remove the container from below the manifold.
   (2) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (3) Remove the access platform(s).
   (4) Close the main doors of the main gear (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-410-001).
   (5) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
Subtask 29-11-15-860-055-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Put the aircraft back to the serviceable condition.
   (1) Remove the containers from below the PTU manifold and the HP manifold.
   (2) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (3) Remove the access platform(s).
   (4) Close the main doors of the main gear (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-410-001).
   (5) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
