WARNING:

- THE FLIGHT CONTROL SURFACES
- THE LANDING GEAR AND THE RELATED DOORS
- COMPONENTS THAT MOVE.
WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE TRAVEL RANGES OF THE FLIGHT CONTROLS SURFACES ARE CLEAR. MOVEMENT OF FLIGHT CONTROLS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND/OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE GROUND SAFETY-LOCKS ARE IN POSITION ON THE LANDING GEAR. THIS WILL PREVENT UNWANTED MOVEMENT OF THE LANDING GEAR, AND THUS POSSIBLE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT AND/OR EQUIPMENT.

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(2) Make sure that the Green, Blue or Yellow hydraulic system (as applicable) is depressurized and put it in the maintenance configuration (Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
(3) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Green, Blue or Yellow hydraulic system (as applicable):
(5) Put a CONTAINER - HYDRAULIC FLUID RESISTANT below the related check valve to collect hydraulic fluid.
Subtask 29-00-00-410-067-A WARNING:
OBEY THE HYDRAULIC SAFETY PROCEDURES.
(1) Obey the hydraulic safety procedures (Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-910-002). (2) Make sure that the Green, Blue or Yellow hydraulic system (as applicable) is depressurized and put it in the maintenance configuration (Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
(3) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Green, Blue or Yellow hydraulic system (as applicable):
- In the cockpit on the hydraulic section 40VU of the overhead panel.
- On the ground service panel of the applicable hydraulic system.
(5) Put a CONTAINER - HYDRAULIC FLUID RESISTANT below the related check valve to collect hydraulic fluid.
B. Get access to the related check valve.
4. ProcedureSubtask 29-00-00-020-050-A
A. Removal of the Check Valves
(1) Check Valve Inline Assembly:
(a) Loosen the unions connected to the in- and output of the check valve.
(b) Remove the check valve.
(2) Check Valve Inline/Block Assembly:
(a) Remove the union connected to the check valve.
(b) Remove the check valve from the related manifold.
(c) Remove and discard the O-ring.
(3) Check Valve Block Assembly:
(a) Remove the check valve from the related manifold.
(b) Remove and discard the O-ring and the back-up rings.
Subtask 29-00-00-860-080-A (1) Check Valve Inline Assembly:
(a) Loosen the unions connected to the in- and output of the check valve.
(b) Remove the check valve.
(2) Check Valve Inline/Block Assembly:
(a) Remove the union connected to the check valve.
(b) Remove the check valve from the related manifold.
(c) Remove and discard the O-ring.
(3) Check Valve Block Assembly:
(a) Remove the check valve from the related manifold.
(b) Remove and discard the O-ring and the back-up rings.
B. Preparation for Installation
(1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Apply Phosphate Ester Hydraulic Fluid-General Power - - (Material No.02ABA1) to the new O-rings and to the new back up rings.
Subtask 29-00-00-420-050-A (1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Apply Phosphate Ester Hydraulic Fluid-General Power - - (Material No.02ABA1) to the new O-rings and to the new back up rings.
C. Installation of the Check Valves
(1) Check Valve Inline Assembly:
(a) Position the check valves between the hydraulic lines and TORQUE the unions.
(a) Install the check valve with a new O-ring into the manifold or the reducer and TORQUE it.
(a) Make sure that the back-up rings and the O-ring are in the correct position.
14QEB1 Wire-Locking Dia: 0.6 mm CRES Nickel Alloy - or 14QFB1 Wire-Locking Dia: 0.8 mm CRES Nickel Alloy - (Ref. AMM TASK 20-11-11-911-001).
Subtask 29-00-00-910-053-A (1) Check Valve Inline Assembly:
(a) Position the check valves between the hydraulic lines and TORQUE the unions.
NOTE: For the torque values refer to ATA 20-21-12 paragraph 4.A.(4) (Ref. AMM TASK 20-21-12-911-001).
NOTE: For the material of the hydraulic equipment refer to the IPC.
NOTE: For the check valve material refer to the Table I.
(2) Check Valve Inline/Block Assembly: (a) Install the check valve with a new O-ring into the manifold or the reducer and TORQUE it.
NOTE: For the torque values refer to the Table II.
(b) Install the union to the check valve and TORQUE it. NOTE: For the torque values refer to ATA 20-21-12 paragraph 4.A.(6)(b) (Ref. AMM TASK 20-21-12-911-001).
NOTE: For the pipe material refer to IPC.
NOTE: For the check valve material refer to the Table II.
NOTE: Hold the check valve with a spanner to make sure that you do not apply the higher torque to the manifold.
(3) Check Valve Block Assembly: (a) Make sure that the back-up rings and the O-ring are in the correct position.
WARNING:
USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
(b) Install the check valve into the manifold and TORQUE it. NOTE: For the torque values refer to the Table III.

G. Leak Test
(1) Make sure that the fluid level in the reservoir of the related hydraulic system is correct. Add fluid as necessary (Ref. AMM TASK 12-12-29-611-001) or (Ref. AMM TASK 12-12-29-611-002).
(2) Pressurize the reservoirs of the hydraulic systems (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-002).
(3) Pressurize the Green, Yellow or Blue hydraulic system (as applicable) (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-863-001) or (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-863-001), (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-863-002) or (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-863-003).
(4) Examine the related connection for leaks.
5. Close-up(1) Make sure that the fluid level in the reservoir of the related hydraulic system is correct. Add fluid as necessary (Ref. AMM TASK 12-12-29-611-001) or (Ref. AMM TASK 12-12-29-611-002).
(2) Pressurize the reservoirs of the hydraulic systems (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-002).
(3) Pressurize the Green, Yellow or Blue hydraulic system (as applicable) (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-863-001) or (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-863-001), (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-863-002) or (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-863-003).
(4) Examine the related connection for leaks.
NOTE: Leaks are not permitted.
(5) Depressurize the hydraulic system pressurized above (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-001) or (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-864-001), (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-002) or (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-003). Subtask 29-00-00-860-081-A
