Installation of the Priority Valve of the Green Hydraulic System

Subtask 29-11-33-860-051-A
A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
WARNING: OBEY THE HYDRAULIC SAFETY PROCEDURES.
   (1) Obey the hydraulic safety procedures (Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-910-002).
   (2) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) are in in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Green hydraulic system:
  • In the cockpit on the overhead panel
  • On the ground service panel of the Green hydraulic system.
   (3) Make sure that the Green hydraulic system is depressurized and put it in the maintenance configuration.
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
   (4) Make sure that the reservoir of the Green hydraulic system is depressurized (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
   (5) Make sure that the main doors of the main gear are open (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-010-001).
   (6) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT) is in position.
   (7) Make sure that a CONTAINER 2 L (0.53 USGAL) is in position below the HP manifold of the Green hydraulic system.
   (8) Make sure that the isolation coupling of the power transfer unit (PTU) is disconnected (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-860-001).

4. Procedure
Subtask 29-11-33-560-050-A
A. Preparation for Installation
   (1) Remove the blanking plugs from the priority valve (1).
   (2) Apply Phosphate Ester Hydraulic Fluid-General Power - - (Material No.02ABA1) to the new:
  • Back-up rings (4) and (7)
  • Square-section seals (6) and
  • O-rings (8).
   (3) Put the AIPC 29-11-15-02-060 BACK-UP RINGS (7) in position on the sides of the bobbins (5) without the identification grooves (equipment side).
   (4) Put the AIPC 29-11-15-02-050 SQUARE-SECTION SEALS (6) in position on the sides of the bobbins (5) without the identification grooves (equipment side).
   (5) Put the AIPC 29-11-15-02-040 BACK-UP RINGS (4) in position on the sides of the bobbins (5) with the identification grooves (manifold side).
   (6) Put the AIPC 29-11-15-02-030 O-RINGS (8) in position on the sides of the bobbins (5) with the identification grooves (manifold side).
   (7) Install the bobbins (5) with the identification grooves in the ports of the manifold (Ref. AMM TASK 20-23-21-911-001).

B. Installation of the Priority Valve
   (1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (3) Install the priority valve (1) on the manifold.
   (4) Install the bolts (2) and the washers (3).
   (5) TORQUE the bolts (2) to between 0.9 and 0.8 m.daN (79.65 and 70.80 lbf.in ) T.

C. Test
   (1) Pressurize the reservoir of the Green hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-002).
   (2) Make sure that the fluid level in the reservoir of the Green hydraulic system is correct. Add fluid as necessary (Ref. AMM TASK 12-12-29-611-001).
   (3) Pressurize the Green hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-863-001) or (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-863-001).
   (4) Examine the connection of the priority valve (1) and make sure that there are no leaks.
   (5) Depressurize the Green hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-001) or (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-864-001).
5. Close-up
Subtask 29-11-33-860-052-A
A. Put the aircraft back to the serviceable condition.
   (1) Connect the isolation coupling of the power transfer unit (PTU) (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-860-002).
   (2) Remove the container.
   (3) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (4) Remove the warning notices from the cockpit and the ground service panel.
   (5) Close the main doors of the main gear (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-410-001).

B. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):
