E. Deactivation of the Thrust Reverser for Maintenance
WARNING: YOU MUST DEACTIVATE THE THRUST REVERSER BEFORE YOU DO WORK ON OR AROUND IT. IF YOU DO NOT, THE THRUST REVERSER CAN OPERATE ACCIDENTALLY AND CAUSE AN INJURY AND/OR DAMAGE.
   (1) Make sure that the thrust reverser system is deactivated for maintenance (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-040-805).

F. Get Access
   (1) Make sure that the thrust reverser cowl-doors are open (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-00-010-802):

G. Removal of the Components
   (1) Make sure that the OPV is removed (Ref. AMM TASK 36-11-53-000-802).
   (2) Make sure that the Environmental Control System (ECS) L-duct is removed (Ref. AMM TASK 36-11-49-000-824).
   (3) If necessary, remove the turbine cooling air-system-pipe (Ref. AMM TASK 75-25-49-000-802).
4. Procedure
Subtask 26-12-16-420-055-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Installation of the Pylon Fire-Detector Ramp-Assembly
CAUTION: DO NOT BEND THE MANIFOLD OF THE SENSING ELEMENT. IF YOU BEND IT, YOU CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE WELDING.
   (1) Carefully put the ramp assembly (4) in position on the structure (3).
   (2) Install the washers (2) and the screws (1) on the ramp assembly (4) and tighten then.
   (3) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
   (4) Make sure that all the electrical connections are clean and in the correct condition.
   (5) Install the two electrical connectors (7).
     (a) Put the two electrical connectors (7) in position on the two responders (5) and the two clamps (10).
     (b) Install the two nuts (6) on the two responders (5).
       1 TORQUE the two nuts (6) to between 0.28 and 0.23 m.daN (24.78 and 20.35 lbf.in ) T.
   (6) Install the two electrical connectors (9)
     (a) Put the two electrical connectors (9) in position on the two responders (5) and the two clamps (10).
     (b) Install the two nuts (8) on the two responders (5).
       1 TORQUE the two nuts (8) to between 0.4 and 0.34 m.daN (35.40 and 30.09 lbf.in )
T.
   (7) Close the four clamps (10).
CAUTION: DO NOT USE ELECTRICAL OR PNEUMATIC TOOLS TO LOOSEN OR TIGHTEN THE QUARTER-TURN FASTENER ON THE FIRE DETECTOR CLAMP. ONLY USE A MANUAL SCREWDRIVER. ELECTRICAL OR PNEUMATIC TOOLS WILL CAUSE THE FASTENER TO TURN TOO MUCH AND POSSIBLY TO BREAK.
     (a) Close the clamps (10) and lock them with the quarter-turn fasteners (11).

   (2) Do an operational test of the engine-fire detection system (Ref. AMM TASK 26-12-00-710-001).
