C. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Depressurize the potable water system (Ref. AMM TASK 38-10-00-614-002).
   (2) Drain the potable water system (Ref. AMM TASK 12-24-38-680-001).

D. Safety Precautions
   (1) In the cockpit, on the overhead panel, on the AIR COND section of panel 30VU:
     (a) Make sure that these pushbutton switches are released:
  • APU BLEED pushbutton switch (the ON legend is off)
  • All the ENG BLEED pushbutton switches (the OFF legends are on)
  • PACK 1 and PACK 2 pushbutton switches (the OFF legends are on).
     (b) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate these pushbutton switches.
   (2) On the HP and LP ground-air connectors, put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to connect the ground air supply.
   (3) On the water service panel, put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to do the servicing of the potable water system.

E. Get Access
   (1) Open all applicable doors to get access to the parts that you must remove/disconnect.
   (2) If necessary, remove the contents of the galley.
   (3) Remove all the items of non-electrical equipment from the galley.
   (4) If these items of equipment are installed, remove them:
     (a) Remove the oven(s) (Ref. AMM TASK 25-35-19-000-001).
     (b) Remove the steam oven(s) (Ref. AMM D/O 25-35-19-00).
     (c) Remove the water boiler(s)/heater(s) (Ref. AMM TASK 25-35-27-000-001).
     (d) Remove the coffee maker(s) (Ref. AMM D/O 25-35-15-00).
     (e) Remove the beverage maker(s) (Ref. AMM TASK 25-35-21-000-001).
     (f) Remove the galley control panel (Ref. AMM TASK 25-35-34-000-001).
   (5) If the Attendant Indication Panel (AIP) is installed, remove it (Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-22-000-001).
   (6) If the No Smoking/Fasten Seat Belts (NS/FSB) sign(s) is (are) installed, remove it (them) (Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-63-000-802).
   (7) If the curtain(s) and the curtain rail(s) are installed, remove them (Ref. AMM TASK 25-26-41-000-003).
   (8) Remove the ceiling panels (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-41-000-001).
   (9) Remove the handgrip support assembly (Ref. AMM TASK 53-46-04-000-801).
   (10) If necessary, remove the aft utility-area ceiling-panels (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-42-000-002).
4. Procedure
Subtask 25-33-50-020-067-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Removal of the Pelmets
F Pelmets ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
   (1) Remove the screw (11).
   (2) Release the quick connectors (8) and hold the pelmets (9), (10) and (12) in position.
   (3) Remove the nut (17), the washers (2) and (15) and the screw (14) , then disconnect the bonding strap (16).
   (4) Cut and discard the tie wrap (13).
   (5) Safety the bonding strap (16) to the lavatory.
   (6) Remove the screws (7) and the washers (2) and (5), then disconnect the bonding straps (6).
   (7) Remove the screws (1), washers (2), clamps (3) and spacers (4).
   (8) Safety the bonding straps (6) to the pelmets (10) and (12).
   (9) Remove the pelmets (9), (10) and (12).

B. Removal of the Electrical Connections
F Electrical Connections ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
WARNING: USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
   (1) Cut and discard the lockwire from the screws (9).
   (2) Loosen the screws (9) and remove the cover (10).
   (3) Disconnect the electrical wires (5) and (7) as follows:
CAUTION: MAKE MATCH MARKS ON ALL THE ELECTRICAL WIRES BEFORE YOU DISCONNECT THEM. IF YOU MAKE AN ERROR WHEN YOU CONNECT THE WIRES YOU WILL CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
     (a) Remove the nuts (8) and the spacers (6), then disconnect the electrical wires (5) and (7).
     (b) Remove the screw (15), the washer (16) and the clamp (11).
     (c) Remove the nuts (12) and the clamps (11).
     (d) Remove the screws (15), the washers (14) and the clamps (13).
     (e) Safety the electrical wires (5) and (7) to the galley.
   (4) Disconnect the bonding straps (3) as follows:
CAUTION: MAKE SURE THAT THE ELECTRICAL WIRE(S) IS(ARE) DISCONNECTED BEFORE YOU DISCONNECT THE BONDING STRAP(S).
     (a) Remove the nuts (4), the screws (1) and the washers (2), then disconnect the bonding straps (3).
     (b) Safety the bonding straps (3) to the galley.

B. Removal of the Electrical Connections

WARNING: USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
   (1) Cut and discard the lockwire from the screws (9).
   (2) Loosen the screws (9) and remove the cover (10).
   (3) Disconnect the electrical wires (7) and (5) as follows:
CAUTION: MAKE MATCH MARKS ON ALL THE ELECTRICAL WIRES BEFORE YOU DISCONNECT THEM. IF YOU MAKE AN ERROR WHEN YOU CONNECT THE WIRES YOU WILL CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
     (a) Remove the nuts (8) and the spacers (6), then disconnect the electrical wires (7) and (5).
     (b) Remove the screws (16), the washers (15) and the clamps (14) and (17).
     (c) Remove the nuts (12) and the clamps (13) and (11).
     (d) Remove the screw (16), the washer (18) and the clamp (13).
     (e) Safety the electrical wires (7) and (5) to the galley.
   (4) Disconnect the bonding straps (3) as follows:
CAUTION: MAKE SURE THAT THE ELECTRICAL WIRE(S) IS(ARE) DISCONNECTED BEFORE YOU DISCONNECT THE BONDING STRAP(S).
     (a) Remove the nuts (4), the screws (1) and the washers (2), then disconnect the bonding straps (3).
     (b) Safety the bonding straps (3) to the galley.

C. Removal of the Exhaust-Air Hose
F Exhaust-Air Hose ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
   (1) Loosen the clamps (2), then disconnect the exhaust-air hose (1) from the pipe (3).
   (2) Remove the clamps (2).
   (3) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.

D. Removal of the Supply Connections
F Supply Connections ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT THE POTABLE WATER SYSTEM IS DEPRESSURIZED. A PRESSURIZED SYSTEM CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS WHEN THEY DO WORK ON IT.
WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT THE EQUIPMENT YOU USE FOR THIS PROCEDURE IS CLEAN AND APPROVED FOR THE POTABLE WATER SYSTEM. IF NOT IT CAN CAUSE CONTAMINATION OF THE POTABLE WATER SYSTEM.
WARNING: DO NOT DO WORK ON THE WASTE WATER SYSTEM AND THE POTABLE WATER SYSTEM AT THE SAME TIME. THIS WILL PREVENT CONTAMINATION OF THE POTABLE WATER SYSTEM. SUCH CONTAMINATION CAN BE DANGEROUS TO HEALTH.
WARNING: ALWAYS USE RUBBER GLOVES WHEN YOU DO WORK:
  • ON THE WASTE WATER SYSTEM, OR
  • ON PARTS THAT HAVE CONTAMINATION FROM THE WASTE WATER SYSTEM.
WHEN YOU COMPLETE THE WORK PROCEDURE, CLEAN YOUR HANDS WITH SOAP AND WATER. THIS WILL PREVENT INFECTION (WASTE WATER IS DANGEROUS FOR HEALTH).
   (1) Release the fasteners (1) and remove the covers (2) and (3).
   (2) Push the insulation (4) up.
   (3) Loosen the clamp (5) and push the insulation (6) up.
   (4) Loosen the nut (8) and disconnect the potable water hose (7) from the fitting (9).
   (5) Remove the clamp (5).
   (6) Push the insulation (13) up.
   (7) Loosen the clamp (11) and disconnect the waste water hose (12) from the pipe (10).
   (8) Remove the clamp (11).
   (9) Loosen the clamp (15) and disconnect the fresh-air hose (14) from the pipe (16).
   (10) Remove the clamp (15).
   (11) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.

E. Removal of the Upper Attachments

   (1) Release the fasteners (2) and remove the cover (1).
   (2) Remove the screw (7) and the washers (8) and (9) and disconnect the bonding strap (10).
   (3) Safety the bonding strap (10) to the bracket (5).
   (4) Remove the quick-release pins (11) and disconnect the tie-rods (13) and (14) from the aircraft structure.
   (5) Remove the quick-release pins (3), the tie-rod (13) and the bracket (5).
   (6) If necessary, remove the bracket (6) as follows:
     (a) Remove the quick-release pins (4), the tie-rod (14) and the bracket (6).
     (b) Safety the bracket (6) to the galley.

E. Removal of the Upper Attachments

   (1) Release the fasteners (2) and remove the cover (1).
   (2) Remove the screw (12) and the washers (13) and (15), then disconnect the bonding strap (14).
   (3) Safety the bonding strap (14) to the bracket (11).
   (4) Remove the quick-release pins (3) and disconnect the tie-rods (5) and (10) from the aircraft structure.
   (5) Remove the quick-release pins (6), the tie-rods (5) and (10) and the bracket (11).
   (6) If necessary, remove the bracket (7) as follows:
     (a) Remove the quick-release pins (8) and the bracket (7).
     (b) Safety the bracket (7) to the galley.

F. Removal of the Wheel Guides and the Kickstrips
F Wheel Guides and Kickstrips ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
   (1) Make match marks on the components that you disconnect/remove to record their connections/positions. This is important for the subsequent installation procedure.
   (2) Remove the sealant with the SCRAPER - NON METALLIC.
   (3) Remove the kickstrips (7) and (6).
   (4) Remove the screws (5), the washers (4) and the kickstrips (3).
   (5) Remove the screws (2), the washers (1) and the wheel guides (8).

G. Removal of the Floor Seal and the Covers

   (1) Make match marks on the components that you disconnect/remove to record their connections/positions. This is important for the subsequent installation procedure.
   (2) Remove the sealant with the SCRAPER - NON METALLIC.
   (3) Remove the screws (9) and (11) and the covers (8) and (10).
   (4) Remove the screws (5), the washers (4) and the cover (7).
   (5) Remove the screws (2), the seal plates (1) and the seal (3).
   (6) Remove the foam assembly (6).

H. Removal of the C-Beam
F C-Beam ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
   (1) Make match marks on the components that you disconnect/remove to record their connections/positions. This is important for the subsequent installation procedure.
   (2) Remove the screws (13) and (5) and the washers (12) and (6).
   (3) Remove the screws (8) and (10) and the washers (7) and (11), then hold the C-beam (9) in position.
   (4) Remove the screw (1) and the washers (2) and (4), then disconnect the bonding strap (3).
   (5) Safety the bonding strap (3) to the C-beam (9).
   (6) Remove the C-beam (9).

I. Removal of the Galley and Lavatory Wall-to-Wall Connection
   (1) Remove the screws (3) and the covers (2).
   (2) Remove the screws (1).
   (3) Remove the screws (10) and (11) and the covers (7), (8) and (9).
   (4) Remove the screws (6), the inner eccentric bushings (5) and the outer eccentric bushings (4).

J. Removal of the Lower Attachments

WARNING: SUPPORT THE UNIT/ASSEMBLY. THE UNIT/ASSEMBLY IS HEAVY. IF YOU DO NOT SUPPORT IT, IT WILL FALL. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS, AND/OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
   (1) Remove the bolts (1) and the washers (2).
   (2) If the washers (3) are installed, remove them.
   (3) Remove the inner eccentric bushings (4) and the outer eccentric bushings (5).
   (4) Prevent damage to the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (5) Carefully lift the galley and move it to the centerline of the aircraft.
   (6) Remove the washers (6) and the rings (7).
   (7) Remove and discard the packings (8).
   (8) Remove the bushes (9).
   (9) Remove the adhesive tape from the installation points of the bushes (9) (Ref. AMM D/O 51-22-00-00).
