A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) On the center pedestal, on the panel 115VU, make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU:
(a) Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(b) Make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).
Subtask 24-92-00-010-076-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) On the center pedestal, on the panel 115VU, make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU:

(1) Make sure that these access panels are removed:

(2) Make sure that the FWD cargo-compartment door 825AR is open (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
(3) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE is in position at the access door 825AR.
(4) In the zone 131, make sure that these sidewall and partition panels are removed (Ref. AMM TASK 25-54-12-000-003) and (Ref. AMM TASK 25-54-12-000-001):
(a) For the left IDG feeders:
(b) For the right IDG feeders:
Subtask 24-92-00-010-076-C ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Make sure that these access panels are removed:

4. Procedure(1) Make sure that these access panels are removed:

(2) Make sure that the FWD cargo-compartment door 825AR is open (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
(3) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE is in position at the access door 825AR.
(4) In the zone 131, make sure that these sidewall and partition panels are removed (Ref. AMM TASK 25-54-12-000-003) and (Ref. AMM TASK 25-54-12-000-001):
(a) For the left IDG feeders:

Subtask 24-92-00-420-053-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Installation of the IDG feeder cables
(2) Connection of the feeder cables on the right side of the pylon:
(a) Install the electrical feeder cables on the terminal block (25) with the nuts (26) AWM 242201 or AWM 242202.
(b) Tighten the nuts (26) ESPM 2044520.
(c) Install the cover (24) with the screws (23) on the terminal block (25).
(d) Tighten the screws (23) and safety with new14QFB1 Wire-Locking Dia: 0.8 mm CRES Nickel Alloy - (22).
(e) Install the connector (19) in the engine electrical box (20).
(g) Install the clamp (16) with the bolt (17), the washer (15) and the nut (14).
(h) Install the clamp (11) with the bolt (13) and the washer (12).
(i) Tighten the nut (14) and the bolt (13).
(j) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
(k) Make sure that all the electrical connections are clean and in the correct condition.
(l) Connect the electrical connector to the connector (19).
(m) Install the plate (29) on the engine electrical box.
(n) Install the washers (28), the bolts (27) and tighten the bolts (27).
(3) Install the nut (31) on the pressure seal (32) on the wing above the pylon and tighten it.
(4) Install the bolt (33) with the washer (34) on the clamp (37).
(5) Install the bolt (35) on the ground point (36) ESPM 2048190.
(6) Tighten the bolts (33) and (35).
(7) Apply Polysulfide Sealant-Fuel Tank Fillet - (Material No.06ABB1) on the ground point (36).
(8) Install the nut (45) on the pressure seal (46) at the wing and cargo compartment junction and tighten it.
(9) Connection of the feeder cables in the cargo compartment:
(a) Install the electrical feeder cables on the terminal block (44) with the nuts (40) AWM 242201 or AWM 242202.
(b) Tighten the nuts (40) ESPM 2044520.
(c) Install the cover (43) with the screws (41) on the terminal block (44).
(d) Tighten the screws (41) and safety with new14QFB1 Wire-Locking Dia: 0.8 mm CRES Nickel Alloy - (42).
(10) Installation of the cable supports along the IDG feeder cables:
(b) Make sure that there is a clearance of 25 mm (0.98 in.) minimum between the IDG feeder cables and the pylon fitting.
(c) Make sure that there is a clearance of 20 mm (0.79 in.) minimum between the IDG feeder cables and the other components of the structure.
(d) Turn the clamp block to give maximum clearance between the pylon fitting and the feeder cables.
(e) Put all the cable supports (2) in position.
(f) Install all the bolts (7) and the nuts (8) and tighten the nuts (8).
(g) Install all the bolts (10) and the nuts (9) and tighten the nuts (9).
(h) Install all the spacers (5), the plate (4) and the bolts (3) and tighten the bolts (3).
(i) Install all the new TIE WRAP (1) ESPM 2046100.
Subtask 24-92-00-420-053-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL CAUTION:
BE CAREFUL NOT TO CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE IDG FEEDERS WHEN YOU REMOVE/INSTALL THEM.
(1) Put the feeder cables in position in the cargo compartment, the wing and the pylon. (2) Connection of the feeder cables on the right side of the pylon:
(a) Install the electrical feeder cables on the terminal block (25) with the nuts (26) AWM 242201 or AWM 242202.
(b) Tighten the nuts (26) ESPM 2044520.
(c) Install the cover (24) with the screws (23) on the terminal block (25).
(d) Tighten the screws (23) and safety with new
(e) Install the connector (19) in the engine electrical box (20).
NOTE: When you put the connector in place, make sure that the harness is not twisted.
(f) Install the screws (21) and the nuts (18) and tighten the nuts (18). (g) Install the clamp (16) with the bolt (17), the washer (15) and the nut (14).
(h) Install the clamp (11) with the bolt (13) and the washer (12).
(i) Tighten the nut (14) and the bolt (13).
(j) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
(k) Make sure that all the electrical connections are clean and in the correct condition.
(l) Connect the electrical connector to the connector (19).
(m) Install the plate (29) on the engine electrical box.
(n) Install the washers (28), the bolts (27) and tighten the bolts (27).
(3) Install the nut (31) on the pressure seal (32) on the wing above the pylon and tighten it.
(4) Install the bolt (33) with the washer (34) on the clamp (37).
(5) Install the bolt (35) on the ground point (36) ESPM 2048190.
(6) Tighten the bolts (33) and (35).
(7) Apply Polysulfide Sealant-Fuel Tank Fillet - (Material No.06ABB1) on the ground point (36).
(8) Install the nut (45) on the pressure seal (46) at the wing and cargo compartment junction and tighten it.
(9) Connection of the feeder cables in the cargo compartment:
(a) Install the electrical feeder cables on the terminal block (44) with the nuts (40) AWM 242201 or AWM 242202.
(b) Tighten the nuts (40) ESPM 2044520.
(c) Install the cover (43) with the screws (41) on the terminal block (44).
(d) Tighten the screws (41) and safety with new
(10) Installation of the cable supports along the IDG feeder cables:
CAUTION:
MAKE SURE THAT THE IDG CABLES DO NOT TOUCH THE PYLON FITTING. IF THE IDG CABLES TOUCH THE PYLON FITTING, DAMAGE WILL OCCUR TO THE CABLES AND/OR PYLON FITTING.
(a) Install the clamp block (30) on the rod with a clearance of 33.5 mm (1.32 in.) minimum between the top axis attachment of the rod and the top axis attachment of the clamp block. (b) Make sure that there is a clearance of 25 mm (0.98 in.) minimum between the IDG feeder cables and the pylon fitting.
(c) Make sure that there is a clearance of 20 mm (0.79 in.) minimum between the IDG feeder cables and the other components of the structure.
(d) Turn the clamp block to give maximum clearance between the pylon fitting and the feeder cables.
(e) Put all the cable supports (2) in position.
(f) Install all the bolts (7) and the nuts (8) and tighten the nuts (8).
(g) Install all the bolts (10) and the nuts (9) and tighten the nuts (9).
(h) Install all the spacers (5), the plate (4) and the bolts (3) and tighten the bolts (3).
(i) Install all the new TIE WRAP (1) ESPM 2046100.
A. Installation of the IDG feeder cables
(2) Connection of the feeder cables on the right side of the pylon:
(a) Install the electrical feeder cables on the terminal block (25) with the nuts (26) AWM 242201 or AWM 242202.
(b) Tighten the nuts (26) ESPM 2044520.
(c) Install the cover (24) with the screws (23) on the terminal block (25).
(d) Tighten the screws (23) and safety with new14QFB1 Wire-Locking Dia: 0.8 mm CRES Nickel Alloy - (22).
(e) Install the connector (19) in the engine electrical box (20).
(g) Install the clamp (16) with the bolt (17), the washer (15) and the nut (14).
(h) Install the clamp (11) with the bolt (13) and the washer (12).
(i) Tighten the nut (14) and the bolt (13).
(j) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
(k) Make sure that all the electrical connections are clean and in the correct condition.
(l) Connect the electrical connector to the connector (19).
(m) Install the plate (29) on the engine electrical box.
(n) Install the washers (28), the bolts (27) and tighten the bolts (27).
(3) Install the nut (31) on the pressure seal (32) on the wing above the pylon and tighten it.
(4) Install the bolt (33) with the washer (34) on the clamp (37).
(5) Install the bolt (35) on the ground point (36) ESPM 2048190.
(6) Tighten the bolts (33) and (35).
(7) Apply Polysulfide Sealant-Fuel Tank Fillet - (Material No.06ABB1) on the ground point (36).
(8) Install the nut (45) on the pressure seal (46) at the wing and cargo compartment junction and tighten it.
(9) Connection of the feeder cables in the cargo compartment:
(a) Install the electrical feeder cables on the terminal block (44) with the nuts (40) AWM 242201 or AWM 242202.
(b) Tighten the nuts (40) ESPM 2044520.
(c) Install the cover (43) with the screws (41) on the terminal block (44).
(d) Tighten the screws (41) and safety with new14QFB1 Wire-Locking Dia: 0.8 mm CRES Nickel Alloy - (42).
(10) Installation of the cable supports along the IDG feeder cables:
(b) Make sure that there is a clearance of 25 mm (0.98 in.) minimum between the IDG feeder cables and the pylon fitting.
(c) Make sure that there is a clearance of 20 mm (0.79 in.) minimum between the IDG feeder cables and the other components of the structure.
(d) If the clearances are not correct, turn the clamp block (30) to get the necessary clearance.
(e) Put all the cable supports (2) in position.
(f) Install all the bolts (7) and the nuts (8) and tighten the nuts (8).
(g) Install all the bolts (10) and the nuts (9) and tighten the nuts (9).
(h) Install all the spacers (5), the plate (4) and the bolts (3) and tighten the bolts (3).
(i) Install all the new TIE WRAP (1) ESPM 2046100.
Subtask 24-92-00-710-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL CAUTION:
BE CAREFUL NOT TO CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE IDG FEEDERS WHEN YOU REMOVE/INSTALL THEM.
(1) Put the feeder cables in position in the cargo compartment, the wing and the pylon. (2) Connection of the feeder cables on the right side of the pylon:
(a) Install the electrical feeder cables on the terminal block (25) with the nuts (26) AWM 242201 or AWM 242202.
(b) Tighten the nuts (26) ESPM 2044520.
(c) Install the cover (24) with the screws (23) on the terminal block (25).
(d) Tighten the screws (23) and safety with new
(e) Install the connector (19) in the engine electrical box (20).
NOTE: When you put the connector in place, make sure that the harness is not twisted.
(f) Install the screws (21) and the nuts (18) and tighten the nuts (18). (g) Install the clamp (16) with the bolt (17), the washer (15) and the nut (14).
(h) Install the clamp (11) with the bolt (13) and the washer (12).
(i) Tighten the nut (14) and the bolt (13).
(j) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.

(6) Tighten the bolts (33) and (35).
(7) Apply Polysulfide Sealant-Fuel Tank Fillet - (Material No.06ABB1) on the ground point (36).
(8) Install the nut (45) on the pressure seal (46) at the wing and cargo compartment junction and tighten it.
(9) Connection of the feeder cables in the cargo compartment:
(a) Install the electrical feeder cables on the terminal block (44) with the nuts (40) AWM 242201 or AWM 242202.
(b) Tighten the nuts (40) ESPM 2044520.
(c) Install the cover (43) with the screws (41) on the terminal block (44).
(d) Tighten the screws (41) and safety with new
(10) Installation of the cable supports along the IDG feeder cables:
CAUTION:
MAKE SURE THAT THE IDG CABLES DO NOT TOUCH THE PYLON FITTING. IF THE IDG CABLES TOUCH THE PYLON FITTING, DAMAGE WILL OCCUR TO THE CABLES AND/OR PYLON FITTING.
(a) Install the clamp block (30) on the rod with the retaining bracket (38) between the top axis attachment of the rod and the top axis attachment of the clamp block. (b) Make sure that there is a clearance of 25 mm (0.98 in.) minimum between the IDG feeder cables and the pylon fitting.
(c) Make sure that there is a clearance of 20 mm (0.79 in.) minimum between the IDG feeder cables and the other components of the structure.
(d) If the clearances are not correct, turn the clamp block (30) to get the necessary clearance.
(e) Put all the cable supports (2) in position.
(f) Install all the bolts (7) and the nuts (8) and tighten the nuts (8).
(g) Install all the bolts (10) and the nuts (9) and tighten the nuts (9).
(h) Install all the spacers (5), the plate (4) and the bolts (3) and tighten the bolts (3).
(i) Install all the new TIE WRAP (1) ESPM 2046100.
B. Test
(1) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits from engine 1(2) (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(2) On the ECAM control panel, push the ELEC key to get the ELEC page:
5. Close-up(1) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits from engine 1(2) (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(2) On the ECAM control panel, push the ELEC key to get the ELEC page:
- Make sure that the voltage of the IDG is 115 VAC.
- Make sure that the frequency of the IDG is 400Hz + or - 5Hz.

A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Close these access panels:
(a) For the left pylon:
