A. Safety Precautions
   (1) Install the 98D27803500001 LOCKING TOOL ZERO POS on the flap/slat control lever.
   (2) Put WARNING NOTICE(S) in the cockpit to tell persons not to operate the flaps or slats.
   (3) As necessary, use the applicable SAFETY BARRIERS, specified by the operator's instructions and your local regulations.
   (4) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 4M (13 FT) below the applicable wing-tip, zone 534(634).

signs of impact, distortion and pulled
or loose fasteners on the items that
follow:
- The wing tip fence
- The wing tip
- The wing-to-wing-tip joint
- At the upper surface joint
- At the lower-skin lower surface

A.

If you find damage on the wing tip
fence:







- Repair the fence
SRM 573122.

- Or replace the fence
(Ref. AMM TASK 57-31-22-000-001)
(Ref. AMM TASK 57-31-22-400-001).

- Or do the deactivation of the
wing tip fence
(Ref. AMM TASK 57-31-00-040-001).

B.

If the damage to the wing tip fence is
more than the permitted damage limits
SRM 573122:







- Remove the fence
(Ref. AMM TASK 57-31-22-000-001).

- Do a detailed visual inspection of
the fence attachment fittings on the
wing tip SRM 573122.

X



C.

If you find damage on the wing tip:







- Repair the wing tip
SRM 573121.

- Or replace the wing tip
(Ref. AMM TASK 57-31-21-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 57-31-21-400-001).

D.

If the wing tip is bent or has
distortion, or if there is damage on
the internal structure:







- Remove the wing tip
(Ref. AMM TASK 57-31-21-000-001).

- Do a detailed visual inspection
of the wing-to-wing-tip attachment
fittings SRM 572611.

E.

If there is damage on the wing-to-
wing-tip joint:







- Remove the wing tip
(Ref. AMM TASK 57-31-21-000-001).

- Do a detailed visual inspection
of the wing-to-wing-tip attachment
fittings SRM 572611.

X



2.

Do a detailed visual inspection of the
navigation light glazing
(Ref. AMM TASK 33-41-00-040-001).
X




A.

If you find damage:







- Repair the glazing
(Ref. AMM TASK 33-41-00-040-001) or replace it
(Ref. AMM TASK 57-37-12-000-802) and
(Ref. AMM TASK 57-37-12-400-802).

- Do a test of the navigation light
(Ref. AMM TASK 33-41-00-710-001).

- Do a test of the anti-collision/
strobe light
(Ref. AMM TASK 33-48-00-710-001).
If necessary, remove the anti-
collision/strobe light
(Ref. AMM TASK 33-48-11-000-001).

3.

Examine the static dischargers and
retainers for damage
(Ref. AMM TASK 23-61-00-200-001).

A.

If you find damage:







- Replace the static dischargers
(Ref. AMM TASK 23-61-41-000-001) and
(Ref. AMM TASK 23-61-41-400-001).
NOTE : 20% of the static dischargers
can be not in operation or
missing from each wing.

5. Close-up

A. Removal of Equipment
   (1) Remove the safety barriers.
   (2) Remove the 98D27803500001 LOCKING TOOL ZERO POS from the flap/slat control lever.
   (3) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
   (4) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (5) Remove the access platform(s).
   (6) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
