A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the aircraft electrical circuits are energized (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(2) On the panel 25VU, make sure that the APU MASTER SW pushbutton switch is off.
(3) Make sure that there is a warning notice in the cockpit to tell persons not to start the APU.
(4) Make sure that the hydraulic systems are depressurized
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
(5) Make sure that the access platform is in position below the APU compartment.
(6) Make sure that the APU access doors are open (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-010-001).
(7) Make sure that the LIGHT control switch 11LJ is set to the on position.
Subtask 49-52-41-865-054-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Make sure that the aircraft electrical circuits are energized (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).

Subtask 49-52-41-210-054-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Inspection of the Outlet Duct Assembly.
(1) Make an inspection of the bellow (2), the pipe (4) and the support for damage, chafing marks, dents or cracks. Replace the damaged items.
(2) Make an inspection of the duct seal on the elbow for damage. Replace the seal, if necessary.
(3) Make an inspection of the stiffeners (10) and their fittings for damage.
(4) If the stiffeners are damaged, do a structural repair.
Subtask 49-52-41-420-052-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Make an inspection of the bellow (2), the pipe (4) and the support for damage, chafing marks, dents or cracks. Replace the damaged items.
(2) Make an inspection of the duct seal on the elbow for damage. Replace the seal, if necessary.
(3) Make an inspection of the stiffeners (10) and their fittings for damage.
(4) If the stiffeners are damaged, do a structural repair.
B. Installation of the Oil Cooler Outlet Duct
(1) Put the pipe (4) on the support and close the clamps (5). Do not fully tighten the clamps (5) at this time.
(2) Remove the protective cover from the oiler cooler outlet.
(3) Move the bellows (2) on to the pipe (4) and install the clamp (3). Do not fully tighten the clamp (3) at this time.
(4) Protective Treatment
(a) Apply Non Hardening Jointing Putty-Medium Temp. Area - - (Material No.06LCG9) or Non Hardening Jointing Putty-High Temp. Area - Structure (Material No.06LDG2) to all mating surfaces and to the bolts (6), the washers (7) and (8) and the nuts (9). Do not apply ZINC CHROMATE PUTTY to the bonding strap (15).
(5) Put the oil-cooler outlet-duct assembly in position and install the washers (7), the bolts (6), the washers (8) and the nuts (9). Do not fully torque the nuts (9) at this time.
(6) Connect the bellows (2) to the oil cooler outlet with the clamp (1).
(7) TORQUE the clamp (1) to between 0.5 and 0.4 m.daN (44.25 and 35.40 lbf.in )
.
(8) Close the APU access door 315AL.
(9) Install the pipe (4) on the elbow (2) with the clamp (3).
(10) TORQUE the nuts (9) to between 0.495 and 0.405 m.daN (43.81 and 35.84 lbf.in )
.
(11) Adjust the pipe (4) to get a precompression of between 1.3 mm (0.0512 in.) and 1.7 mm (0.0669 in.) of the seal between the flanges of the pipe (4) and the outlet duct (16) at the APU access door 315AL.
(13) Open the APU access door 315AL.
(14) Connect the bonding strap (15) to the structure with the bolt (13), the washers (14) and (11) and the nut (12) (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).
Subtask 49-52-41-865-055-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Put the pipe (4) on the support and close the clamps (5). Do not fully tighten the clamps (5) at this time.
(2) Remove the protective cover from the oiler cooler outlet.
(3) Move the bellows (2) on to the pipe (4) and install the clamp (3). Do not fully tighten the clamp (3) at this time.
(4) Protective Treatment
(a) Apply Non Hardening Jointing Putty-Medium Temp. Area - - (Material No.06LCG9) or Non Hardening Jointing Putty-High Temp. Area - Structure (Material No.06LDG2) to all mating surfaces and to the bolts (6), the washers (7) and (8) and the nuts (9). Do not apply ZINC CHROMATE PUTTY to the bonding strap (15).
(5) Put the oil-cooler outlet-duct assembly in position and install the washers (7), the bolts (6), the washers (8) and the nuts (9). Do not fully torque the nuts (9) at this time.
(6) Connect the bellows (2) to the oil cooler outlet with the clamp (1).
(7) TORQUE the clamp (1) to between 0.5 and 0.4 m.daN (44.25 and 35.40 lbf.in )
. (8) Close the APU access door 315AL.
(9) Install the pipe (4) on the elbow (2) with the clamp (3).
(10) TORQUE the nuts (9) to between 0.495 and 0.405 m.daN (43.81 and 35.84 lbf.in )
. (11) Adjust the pipe (4) to get a precompression of between 1.3 mm (0.0512 in.) and 1.7 mm (0.0669 in.) of the seal between the flanges of the pipe (4) and the outlet duct (16) at the APU access door 315AL.
NOTE: The adjustment range C is 10 mm (0.3937 in.).
(12) Tighten the clamps (5) and the clamp (3). (13) Open the APU access door 315AL.
(14) Connect the bonding strap (15) to the structure with the bolt (13), the washers (14) and (11) and the nut (12) (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).
C. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

D. Test
(1) Start and operate the APU (Ref. AMM TASK 49-00-00-860-005) .
(2) While the APU is running, do a leak test of the oil-cooler outlet-duct assembly. No oil leaks are permitted.
(3) Stop the APU (Ref. AMM TASK 49-00-00-860-006) .
5. Close-up(1) Start and operate the APU (Ref. AMM TASK 49-00-00-860-005) .
(2) While the APU is running, do a leak test of the oil-cooler outlet-duct assembly. No oil leaks are permitted.
(3) Stop the APU (Ref. AMM TASK 49-00-00-860-006) .
Subtask 49-52-41-410-053-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Set the LIGHT control switch 11LJ to the off position.
(3) Close the APU access door 315AL (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-410-001).
(4) Remove the access platform(s).
(5) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
Subtask 49-52-41-860-052-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Set the LIGHT control switch 11LJ to the off position.
(3) Close the APU access door 315AL (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-410-001).
(4) Remove the access platform(s).
(5) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
