B. Visual Inspection of the Seals
   (1) Examine the seals for signs of oxidation, carbon flakes and foreign materials on the face that touches the duct flanges.
   (2) Examine the surface and the edges of the seals for dents, pitting, cracks, scratches and distortion.
   (3) If you cannot remove the foreign materials from the seals or if you find damage or distortion, replace the seals.
Subtask 36-11-52-420-052-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
C. Installation of the PRV
   (1) If you use the APU to energize the electrical circuits, stop the APU:
   (2) In the cockpit, on the SD bleed page:
     (a) Make sure that the pressure and the temperature of the bleed-air duct system are in ambient conditions.
WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT THE PNEUMATIC SYSTEM IS DEPRESSURIZED BEFORE YOU START WORK. PRESSURIZED AIR CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONNEL.
WARNING: DO NOT TOUCH THE UNIT UNTIL IT IS SUFFICIENTLY COOL TO PREVENT BURNS WHEN YOU DO THE MAINTENANCE TASK(S).
   (3) Remove the blanking plugs from the ends of the PRV (30), the interface duct (5) and the tee-duct (10).
   (4) Remove the protective covers from the HP sense tube (25), the sense tube (35) and the PRV (30).
CAUTION: APPLY ONLY A THIN LAYER OF (CP5063) SILICON LUBRICANT TO THE THREADS OF THE HOSE TUBE ASSEMBLY COUPLING NUTS AND FITTING ON THE VALVES, AND REMOVE UNWANTED LUBRICANT. KEEP LUBRICANT FROM GOING INTO THE HOSE TUBE ASSEMBLY AND VALVES. IF TOO MUCH LUBRICANT IS USED, THEN LUBRICANT MAY CLOG THE HOSE TUBE ASSEMBLY AND ENTER THE VALVES AND DAMAGE THOSE COMPONENTS.
   (5) Lubricate the threads of the coupling nuts and the fittings with silicone lubricant (Material No.CP5063) .
   (6) Remove the protective covers from the electrical connectors on the wire harness.
   (7) Install the PRV as follows:
     (a) If the sense line is not removed in the removal procedure from the selector S-A position:
1 Make sure that the IPT/RPT plug is in the selector S-A position.
NOTE: If the IPT/RPT plug is not in the selector S-A position, you can remove the plug from the IPT/RPT plug storage-position and put the plug to the selector S-A position.
CAUTION: MAKE SURE THAT THE KEYWAY ON THE VALVE IS ENGAGED WITH THE KEY ON THE DUCT. IF THE POSITION OF THE KEYWAY IS NOT CORRECT, DAMAGE TO THE VALVE AND ITS PARTS CAN OCCUR.
     (b) Put the PRV (30) in position between the tee-duct (10) and the interface duct (5).
     (c) Make sure that the flow arrow on the valve points to the interface duct (5).
   (8) Make sure that the sense tubes (25) and (35) and the unions are serviceable.
   (9) Loosely attach the PRV (30) to the interface duct (5) and the tee-duct (10) with the couplings (20) and the AIPC 36-11-52-02-040 SEALS (15).
     (a) Do not tighten the couplings at this time.
   (10) Connect the HP sense tube (25) to the PRV (30):
     (a) Make sure that the HP sense tube is in its correct installation position.
CAUTION: USE A SECOND WRENCH TO APPLY COUNTER TORQUE TO THE UNION ON THE VALVE WHEN YOU CONNECT THE HP SENSE TUBE.
   (11) TORQUE the coupling nut on the HP sense tube (25) to between 1.69 and 1.52 m.daN (12.46 and 11.21 lbf.ft )
T.
   (12) Connect the sense tube (35) to the PRV (30).
CAUTION: USE A SECOND WRENCH TO APPLY COUNTER TORQUE TO THE UNION ON THE VALVE WHEN YOU CONNECT THE HP SENSE TUBE.
   (13) TORQUE the coupling nut on the HP sense tube (35) to between 1.69 and 1.52 m.daN (12.46 and 11.21 lbf.ft )
T.
   (14) Do the steps that follow to torque the coupling nuts:
CAUTION: MAKE SURE THE SMOOTH CIRCULAR SURFACE OF THE COUPLING IS RADIALLY OUTBOARD FROM THE ENGINE. DO NOT LET THE COUPLING TOUCH ENGINE COMPONENTS OR STRUCTURE. DAMAGE TO THE COMPONENTS OR STRUCTURE COULD OCCUR.
     (a) TORQUE the coupling nut to the value shown on the coupling.
     (b) Use the HAMMER - FIBER and lightly hit the perimeter of the coupling.
     (c) Do steps (b) thru (c) two more times.
     (d) TORQUE the coupling nut to the value shown on the coupling.
   (15) Connect the electrical connector to the PRV (30):
     (a) Tighten the connector with your hand to the one-eighth turn.
