   (2) In the cockpit, on the SD bleed page:
     (a) Make sure that the pressure and the temperature of the bleed-air duct system are in ambient conditions.
WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT THE PNEUMATIC SYSTEM IS DEPRESSURIZED BEFORE YOU START WORK. PRESSURIZED AIR CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONNEL.
WARNING: DO NOT TOUCH THE UNIT UNTIL IT IS SUFFICIENTLY COOL TO PREVENT BURNS WHEN YOU DO THE MAINTENANCE TASK(S).

CAUTION: MAKE SURE THAT THE COUPLINGS ARE IN THE CORRECT POSITION. IF THE COUPLINGS ARE NOT IN THE CORRECT POSITION, DAMAGE TO THE COMPONENTS OR STRUCTURE CAN OCCUR.
     (a) Turn the couplings (1) and (5):
  • To prevent contact with the adjacent components
  • To keep a minimum necessary space for access to tighten them.
     (b) Turn the valve until the clearance between the valve and the engine casing is a minimum of 0.24 in. (6.10 mm).
   (6) TORQUE the nuts of the couplings (1) and (5) to between 85 and 75 lbf.in (0.96 and 0.85 m.daN ) T (Ref. AMM TASK 70-23-11-911-013):

D. Preparation for the leak test
   (1) There are two possible procedure to find the location of a pneumatic joint air leak.
NOTE: Apply dry developer only on the connections of the pneumatic components which were removed. Do not apply dry developer on all of the pneumatic components.
You can apply V06-032developer, dry around the pneumatic joints or you can install FOIL - ALUMINUM around the pneumatic joint locations.
Use the steps that follow to apply foil, aluminum to the pneumatic joint locations.
     (a) Wind the foil wrap around the joint one time.
     (b) Twist the seam of the foil wrap tight.
     (c) Make the foil wrap as tight as possible on the tube but not rip the wrap.
     (d) Attach the foil wrap with lockwire (Material No.V02-147) at both sides of the pneumatic joint.
