A. Removal of the High-Pressure Bleed Valve
(1) If you use the APU to energize the electrical circuits, stop the APU:
(a) Make sure that the pressure and the temperature of the bleed-air duct system are in ambient conditions.
(4) Disconnect the pressure indicating tube (6) from the high-pressure bleed valve (3).
(5) Record the position of the valve for the installation procedure.
(6) Remove the two couplings (1) and (5).
(7) Remove the seals (2) and (4).
(8) Remove the valve (3).
(9) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.
(10) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
(11) Remove the heatshield assembly (8) if Vendor Service Bulletin (VSB) V2500-NAC-70-0614 is applied on the engine or if the heatshield assembly is installed on the valve:
(b) Loosen the hose clamps (9) and (10).
(c) Remove the lower heatshield assembly (8) from the high-pressure bleed valve (3).
(1) If you use the APU to energize the electrical circuits, stop the APU:
- For GTCP 36-300 APU (Ref. AMM D/O 49-00-00-86)
- For APS 3200 APU (Ref. AMM D/O 49-00-00-86)
- For 131-9(A) APU (Ref. AMM TASK 49-00-00-860-009).
(a) Make sure that the pressure and the temperature of the bleed-air duct system are in ambient conditions.
WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE PNEUMATIC SYSTEM IS DEPRESSURIZED BEFORE YOU START WORK. PRESSURIZED AIR CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONNEL.
WARNING:
DO NOT TOUCH THE UNIT UNTIL IT IS SUFFICIENTLY COOL TO PREVENT BURNS WHEN YOU DO THE MAINTENANCE TASK(S).
(3) Disconnect electrical connector 4000HA-A (7) from the high-pressure bleed valve (3).(4) Disconnect the pressure indicating tube (6) from the high-pressure bleed valve (3).
NOTE: If VSB V2500-NAC-70-0614 is applied on the engine, the heatshield assembly is installed on the valve.
WARNING:
USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
(a) Remove the lockwire that safeties the hose clamps (9) and (10).(b) Loosen the hose clamps (9) and (10).
(c) Remove the lower heatshield assembly (8) from the high-pressure bleed valve (3).
