A. Inspection and Cleaning of the APU Bleed Air-Duct forward of the Load Control Valve
WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT AIR IS NOT SUPPLIED TO THE AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM FROM THE MAIN ENGINE, THE APU OR A GROUND SOURCE. HOT COMPRESSED AIR CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONNEL.
   (1) In the cockpit, put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to start the APU or the engines.
   (2) Open the access door 191DB.
   (3) On the HP ground connector (7300HM):
     (a) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the pneumatic system.
   (4) Remove the APU bleed-air duct-elbow that is installed forward of the load control valve (between FR80 and FR82):
   (5) Do a check for the large quantities of oil in the ducts or connector grooves of the V-flanges. If you see oil, clean them.
   (6) Clean the dirty ducts with a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) and Aqueous Cleaner-Aircraft Exterior Pressure Spraying - (Material No.08ABC1) .
   (7) Install the APU bleed-air duct-elbow:
   (8) Do the leak check of the APU bleed-air duct (Ref. AMM TASK 36-22-00-790-001).

B. Inspection and Cleaning of the Bleed Air Duct
WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT AIR IS NOT SUPPLIED TO THE AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM FROM THE MAIN ENGINE, THE APU OR A GROUND SOURCE. HOT COMPRESSED AIR CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONNEL.
WARNING: DO NOT TOUCH THE COMPONENT UNTIL IT IS SUFFICIENTLY COOL TO PREVENT BURNS.
   (1) In the cockpit:
  • Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is (are) in position to tell persons not to start the APU or the engines.
   (2) On the HP ground connector (7300HM):
     (a) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the pneumatic system.
   (3) Remove the section of the bleed air duct that is installed between ozone filter 100HM (101HM) and FR35/FR35.8 (Ref. AMM TASK 36-12-41-000-001).
   (4) Do a check for the large quantities of oil in the ducts and the ozone filter. If you see oil, clean them.
   (5) Clean the dirty ducts and areas of the ozone filters that you can get access to with a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) and Aqueous Cleaner-Aircraft Exterior Pressure Spraying - (Material No.08ABC1) .
   (6) Install the removed sections of the bleed air duct (Ref. AMM TASK 36-12-41-400-001).
