3. Job Set-up
Subtask 35-13-14-860-054-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
WARNING: WHEN YOU DO WORK ON THE GASEOUS OXYGEN SYSTEM, MAKE SURE THAT YOU OBEY ALL THE APPLICABLE SAFETY PRECAUTIONS. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THESE PRECAUTIONS, INJURY TO PERSONS AND/OR DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT CAN OCCUR.
   (1) Obey the special precautions when you do work on a gaseous oxygen system (Ref. AMM TASK 35-00-00-860-001).
   (2) Make sure that the aircraft electrical circuits are energized
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
   (3) In the cockpit, on the OXYGEN section of the overhead control and indicating panel 21VU:
  • Make sure that the CREW SUPPLY pushbutton switch is released (the OFF legend is on).
  • Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is(are) in position to tell persons not to push the CREW SUPPLY pushbutton switch.
   (4) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) is in position at access door 812.
   (5) Make sure that access door 812 is open (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-010-002).
   (6) Make sure that the manual shutoff valves of the crew oxygen-storage cylinders (5750HM1 and 5750HM2) are fully closed.
   (7) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is(are) in position to tell persons not to open the manual shutoff valves of the crew oxygen-storage cylinders (5750HM1 and 5750HM2).

4. Procedure
Subtask 35-13-14-420-052-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Installation of the Low-Pressure Oxygen Pressure-Switches 4WV1 and 4WV2
   (1) FOR [5750HM1] (OXYGEN CYLINDER)
     (a) Remove the pressure switch (4WV1) (2) from the BAG - VINYL.
     (b) Remove the CAP - BLANKING, APPROVED FOR USE WITH OXYGEN from the pneumatic port of the pressure switch (4WV1) (2).
     (c) Remove the CAP - BLANKING from the electrical port of the pressure switch (4WV1) (2).
     (d) Apply Sealing Profile-- PTFE Tape - (Material No.14JAF1) to the threads of the pressure switch (4WV1) (2).
     (e) Remove the TIE WRAP(S) and the BAG - VINYL from the disconnected port of the manifold (1).
     (f) Remove the CAP - BLANKING, APPROVED FOR USE WITH OXYGEN from the disconnected port of the manifold (1).
     (g) Remove the blanking cap from the connector (4WV1A) (3).
     (h) Install the pressure switch (4WV1) (2) on the manifold (1).
     (i) TORQUE the pressure switch (4WV1) (2) to between 3.33 and 2.95 m.daN (24.56 and 21.76 lbf.ft ) T.
     (j) Connect the electrical connector (4WV1A) (3) to the pressure switch (4WV1) (2).
     (k) Put a red paint mark on the connection between the manifold (1) and the pressure switch (4WV1) (2) (
Ref. AMM TASK 20-23-22-910-001).
   (2) FOR [5750HM2] (OXYGEN CYLINDER)
     (a) Remove the pressure switch (4WV2) (5) from the BAG - VINYL.
     (b) Remove the CAP - BLANKING, APPROVED FOR USE WITH OXYGEN from the pneumatic port of the pressure switch (4WV2) (5).
     (c) Remove the CAP - BLANKING from the electrical port of the pressure switch (4WV2) (5).
     (d) Apply Sealing Profile-- PTFE Tape - (Material No.14JAF1) to the threads of the pressure switch (4WV2) (5).
     (e) Remove the TIE WRAP(S) and the BAG - VINYL from the disconnected port of the manifold (4).
     (f) Remove the CAP - BLANKING, APPROVED FOR USE WITH OXYGEN from the disconnected port of the manifold (4).
     (g) Remove the blanking cap from the connector (4WV2A) (6).
     (h) Install the pressure switch (4WV2) (5) on the manifold (4).
     (i) TORQUE the pressure switch (4WV2) (5) to between 3.33 and 2.95 m.daN (24.56 and 21.76 lbf.ft ) T.
     (j) Connect the electrical connector (4WV2A) (6) to the pressure switch (4WV2) (5).
     (k) Put a red paint mark on the connection between the manifold (4) and the pressure switch (4WV2) (5) (
Ref. AMM TASK 20-23-22-910-001).

B. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

C. Leak Test
   (1) In the cockpit, on the OXYGEN section of the overhead control and indicating panel 21VU, push the CREW SUPPLY pushbutton switch (the OFF legend goes off).
   (2) Apply Testing Medium-Leak Detection - Oxygen System (Material No.14CCB6) to the connection between the manifold (1) and the pressure switch (4WV1) (2).
   (3) Apply Testing Medium-Leak Detection - Oxygen System (Material No.14CCB6) to the connection between the manifold (4) and the pressure switch (4WV2) (5).
   (4) Turn the manual shutoff valves
CAUTION: TURN THE HANDVALVES ON ALL OXYGEN BOTTLES UNTIL THEY ARE FULLY OPEN. IF THE HANDVALVES ARE NOT FULLY OPEN BEFORE FLIGHT, IT IS POSSIBLE THAT THE OXYGEN PRESSURE DATA ON THE ECAM DOOR/OXY PAGE WILL NOT BE CORRECT.
     (a) Turn the manual shutoff valves of the crew oxygen-storage cylinders 5750HM1 and 5750HM2 very slowly until they are fully open.
   (5) Examine each connection to make sure that there are no leaks.
   (6) Rub off the Testing Medium-Leak Detection - Oxygen System (Material No.14CCB6) with a lint-free cotton textile Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .

D. Functional Check
   (1) Do the functional check of the low pressure switches (Ref. AMM TASK 35-12-00-710-001).

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
   (2) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (3) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
   (4) Do the EIS stop procedure
(Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-002).
   (5) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).

B. Close Access
   (1) Close access door 812 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-410-002).
   (2) Remove the access platform(s).
