FUNCTIONAL CHECK OF LOW PRESSURE SWITCH
To do a check of the low-pressure oxygen-supply solenoid-valve (in closing mode) and the low pressure indicator.

A. Functional Check
   (1) On the center pedestal, on the lower ECAM display unit, the DOOR/OXY page is shown automatically:
NOTE: If the DOOR/OXY page is not shown, the aircraft system is unserviceable.
     (a) If the DOOR/OXY page is not shown:
  • On the center pedestal, on the ECAM control panel, push the DOOR key (the DOOR/OXY page comes into view).
   (2) Read the oxygen pressure indication on the DOOR/OXY page:
NOTE: If the pressure is less than 1500 psi (103.42 bar), an amber half-box (advisory) is shown only for information.
     (a) If the HP oxygen pressure is less than 400 psi (27.58 bar), do not do the test that follows but do the troubleshooting procedure (Ref. AMM D/O 35-10-00-81).
     (b) If the HP oxygen pressure is not available, do not do the test that follows (the amber crosses show that the oxygen pressure information is not available: XXXXPSI) but do the troubleshooting procedure (Ref. AMM TASK 35-10-00-810-801).
   (3) Do the test that follows:

  • Push the OXYGEN/CREW SUPPLY pushbutton switch.
  • The OFF legend goes off.
On the DOOR/OXY page:
  • The OXY message is shown in white.
  • The oxygen HP indication stays green.

  • Release the OXYGEN/CREW SUPPLY pushbutton switch.
  • The OFF legend comes on.
On the DOOR/OXY page:
  • The OXY message changes from white to amber.

3.In the cockpit, on one of the oxygen-mask stowage boxes:
  • Push the PRESS TO TEST AND RESET control slide many times.

  • Push the OXYGEN/CREW SUPPLY pushbutton switch.

   (2) Read the oxygen pressure indication on the DOOR/OXY page:

  • Release the CREW SUPPLY pushbutton switch.
The OFF legend comes on.
On the DOOR/OXY page:
  • The OXY message changes from green to amber.
  • The oxygen HP indication stays green.
3.In the cockpit, on one of the oxygen-mask stowage boxes:
  • Push and hold the PRESS TO TEST AND RESET control lever.
  • At the same time, push and hold the PRESS TO TEST/EMERGENCY knob on the mask regulator.
  • Keep the PRESS TO TEST/EMERGENCY knob pushed until you do not hear the volume of the sound of the oxygen flow.
On the DOOR/OXY page:
  • The REGUL LO PR message comes into view in amber.
  • The OXY message stays amber.
  • The oxygen HP indication stays green.

If the REGUL LO PR indication does not come into view on the DOOR/OXY page and/or if the volume of the sound of the oxygen flow does not stop:
4.On the OXYGEN section of overhead control and indicating panel 21VU:
  • Push the CREW SUPPLY pushbutton switch.
The OFF legend goes off.
On the DOOR/OXY page:
  • The REGUL LO PR message goes out of view.
  • The OXY message changes from amber to green.

5.On the OXYGEN section of overhead control and indicating panel 21VU:
  • Release the CREW SUPPLY pushbutton switch.

     (a) If the HP oxygen pressure is less than 200 psi (13.79 bar), do not do the test that follows but do the troubleshooting procedure (Ref. AMM D/O 35-10-00-81).
     (b) If the HP oxygen pressure is not available, do not do the test that follows (the amber crosses show that the oxygen pressure information is not available: XXXXPSI) but do the troubleshooting procedure (Ref. AMM TASK 35-10-00-810-801).
   (3) Do the test that follows:

3.In the cockpit, on one of the oxygen-mask stowage boxes:
  • Push and hold the PRESS TO TEST AND RESET control button. At the same time, push and hold the PRESS TO TEST/EMERGENCY knob on the mask regulator.

When the flow rate indicator is black and you do not hear the sound of the oxygen flow:
  • Release the PRESS TO TEST/EMERGENCY knob.
  • Release the PRESS TO TEST AND RESET control button.
On the DOOR/OXY page:
  • The REGUL 1 LO PR message comes into view in amber.
  • The OXY message stays amber.
  • The two HP oxygen indications stay green.
4.In the cockpit, on the OXYGEN section of overhead control and indicating panel 21VU:
  • Push the CREW SUPPLY pushbutton switch (the OFF legend goes off).
On the DOOR/OXY page:
  • The REGUL 1 LO PR message goes out of view.
  • The CKPT OXY message changes from amber to white.

5.In the cockpit, on the OXYGEN section of overhead control and indicating panel 21VU:
  • Release the CREW SUPPLY pushbutton switch (the OFF legend comes on).
On the DOOR/OXY page:
  • The CKPT OXY message changes from white to amber.
  • The two HP oxygen indications stay green.
6.In the cockpit, on one of the oxygen-mask stowage boxes:
  • Push and hold the PRESS TO TEST AND RESET control button. At the same time, push and hold the PRESS TO TEST/EMERGENCY knob on the mask regulator.

When the flow rate indicator is black and you do not hear the sound of the oxygen flow:
  • Release the PRESS TO TEST/EMERGENCY knob.
  • Release the PRESS TO TEST AND RESET control button.
On the DOOR/OXY page:
  • The REGUL 2 LO PR message comes into view in amber.
  • The OXY message stays amber.
  • The two HP oxygen indications stay green.
7.In the cockpit, on the OXYGEN section of overhead control and indicating panel 21VU:
  • Push the CREW SUPPLY pushbutton switch (the OFF legend goes off).
On the DOOR/OXY page:
  • The REGUL 2 LO PR message goes out of view.
  • The CKPT OXY message changes from amber to white.
  • The two HP oxygen indications stay green.
8.In the cockpit, on the OXYGEN section of overhead control and indicating panel 21VU:
  • Release the CREW SUPPLY pushbutton switch (the OFF legend comes on).
On the DOOR/OXY page:
  • The CKPT OXY message changes from white to amber.
  • The two HP oxygen indications stay green.
9.In the cockpit, on the captain and first-officer oxygen-mask stowage-boxes:
  • Push and hold the PRESS TO TEST AND RESET control button. At the same time, push and hold the PRESS TO TEST/EMERGENCY knob on the mask regulator.
When the flow rate indicator is black and you do not hear the sound of the oxygen flow:
  • Release the PRESS TO TEST/EMERGENCY knob.
  • Release the PRESS TO TEST AND RESET control button.
Make sure that the PRESS TO TEST/EMERGENCY knob is not in the EMERGENCY position.
On the DOOR/OXY page:
  • The REGUL 1+2 LO PR message comes into view in amber.
  • The OXY message stays amber.
  • The two HP oxygen indications stay green.
10.In the cockpit, on the OXYGEN section of the overhead control and indicating panel 21VU:
  • Push the CREW SUPPLY pushbutton switch (the OFF legend goes off).
On the DOOR/OXY page:
  • The REGUL 1+2 LO PR message goes out of view.
  • The CKPT OXY message changes from amber to white.
  • The two HP oxygen indications stay green.
