(1) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).

4. Procedure
Subtask 33-48-00-210-052-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

A. Visual Check of the NEOL Activation on the Beacon Lights
(1) On the EXT LT section of overhead control and indicating panel 25VU, set BEACON switch 2LV to the ON position.

On the upper and lower fuselage, make sure that upper beacon light 7LV and lower beacon light 6LV come on.

(2) Do a visual check of the NEOL activation on the beacon lights:
(a) If these lights flash at a one-flash rate of 55 ± 5 flashes in one minute, measured with the STOPWATCH:
1 The NEOL indicator light is off.
2 The installed lights are serviceable.
(b) If these lights flash at a two-flash rate of 55 ± flashes in one minute, measured with the STOPWATCH (two short flashes and a stop):
1 The NEOL indicator light is on (the light is almost unserviceable).
2 Replace the unserviceable beacon lights with the serviceable lights in the next 100 Flight Hours (FH):

For upper beacon light 7LV (Ref. AMM TASK 33-48-11-000-001) or (Ref. AMM TASK 33-48-11-000-002) and (Ref. AMM TASK 33-48-11-400-001) or (Ref. AMM TASK 33-48-11-400-002).
For lower beacon light 6LV (Ref. AMM TASK 33-48-12-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 33-48-12-400-001).

(3) On the EXT LT section of overhead control and indicating panel 25VU, set BEACON switch 2LV to the OFF position.

Make sure that upper beacon light 7LV and lower beacon light 6LV go off.
