A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
(2) Make sure that switch 2LV BEACON ON-OFF on overhead panel 25VU is in the OFF position.

Subtask 33-48-11-420-051-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Installation of Upper Beacon/Strobe Light 7LV
(1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Prepare the electrical bonding point at the flange (3) (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).
(4) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
(6) Put the light assembly (2) and the seal (12) in the correct installation position:
(a) Make sure that the seal (12) is in good condition.
(b) If necessary, install the new AIPC 33-48-11-01-040 SEAL (12).
(7) Loosely install the screws (5).
(8) Tighten the screws (5) in the correct sequence.
(9) Apply Polysulfide Sealant_General Purpose Brushable - (Material No.06AAA1) to the heads of the screws (5) (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802) and let it dry.
(10) Apply Varnish-- Electrical Bonding Structure (Material No.04TMB2) to the heads of the screws (5) to make the electrical bonding.
(11) Make sure that the bung (10) is correctly installed in the lens (9).
(12) Put the lens (9) and the seal (8) in the correct installation position:
(a) Make sure that the seal (8) is in good condition.
(b) If necessary, install the new AIPC 33-48-11-01-020 SEAL (8) or AIPC 33-48-11-01-030 SEAL (8).
(13) Apply Threadlocking Adhesive-- Low strength - (Material No.05BAA1) to the threads of the screws (11).
(14) Loosely install the screws (11).
(15) Make sure that you refer to the match marks made during the removal procedure to install the screws (11) in the correct position.
(16) Tighten the screws (11) in the correct sequence.
(17) Apply Polysulfide Sealant_General Purpose Brushable - (Material No.06AAA1) to the heads of the screws (11).
Subtask 33-48-11-420-051-C ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Prepare the electrical bonding point at the flange (3) (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).
(4) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
CAUTION:
MAKE SURE THAT THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS ARE CLEAN BEFORE YOU DISCONNECT OR CONNECT THEM. CONTAMINATION ON THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(5) Connect the electrical connector (1) to the light assembly (2). (6) Put the light assembly (2) and the seal (12) in the correct installation position:
(a) Make sure that the seal (12) is in good condition.
(b) If necessary, install the new AIPC 33-48-11-01-040 SEAL (12).
(7) Loosely install the screws (5).
(8) Tighten the screws (5) in the correct sequence.
(9) Apply Polysulfide Sealant_General Purpose Brushable - (Material No.06AAA1) to the heads of the screws (5) (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802) and let it dry.
(10) Apply Varnish-- Electrical Bonding Structure (Material No.04TMB2) to the heads of the screws (5) to make the electrical bonding.
(11) Make sure that the bung (10) is correctly installed in the lens (9).
(12) Put the lens (9) and the seal (8) in the correct installation position:
(a) Make sure that the seal (8) is in good condition.
(b) If necessary, install the new AIPC 33-48-11-01-020 SEAL (8) or AIPC 33-48-11-01-030 SEAL (8).
(13) Apply Threadlocking Adhesive-- Low strength - (Material No.05BAA1) to the threads of the screws (11).
(14) Loosely install the screws (11).
(15) Make sure that you refer to the match marks made during the removal procedure to install the screws (11) in the correct position.
(16) Tighten the screws (11) in the correct sequence.
(17) Apply Polysulfide Sealant_General Purpose Brushable - (Material No.06AAA1) to the heads of the screws (11).
A. Installation of the Upper Anti-Collision (Beacon) Light
(2) Clean the component interface and/or the adjacent area.
(3) Install the O-ring (6):
(a) Make sure that the O-ring (6) is in good condition.
(b) If necessary, install the new AIPC 33-48-04-01-090 O-RING (6) or AIPC 33-48-84-01-100 ORING (6).
(5) Put the LED module (5) on the flange (7).
(6) Loosely install the screws (4).
(7) Tighten the screws (4) in the sequence given in the figure.
(8) Apply the Polysulfide Sealant_General Purpose Brushable - (Material No.06AAA1) on the heads of the countersunk screws (4) (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802) and let it dry.
(9) Apply the Varnish-- Electrical Bonding Structure (Material No.04TMB2) on the head of the countersunk screw (4) that is used to do the electrical bonding.
(10) Make sure that the lens drain plug is correctly installed in the new lens (2).
(11) Install the seal (3) as follows:
(a) Make sure that the seal (3) is in good condition.
(b) If necessary, install the new AIPC 33-48-11-01-020 SEAL (3) or AIPC 33-48-11-01-030 SEAL (3) or AIPC 33-48-12-02-030 SEAL (3).
(12) Put the lens (2) on the fuselage.
(13) Make sure that the pin (11) engages correctly in the bung (12).
(14) Install the countersunk screws (1).
(15) Refer to the match marks that you made during the removal to install the screws (1) in the correct position.
(16) Tighten the screws (1) in the sequence given in the figure.
Subtask 33-48-11-860-051-A NOTE: For the torque values of the screws, you can refer to (Ref. AMM TASK 20-21-11-911-001).
(1) Remove the tape from the related upper anti-collision (beacon) light. (2) Clean the component interface and/or the adjacent area.
(3) Install the O-ring (6):
(a) Make sure that the O-ring (6) is in good condition.
(b) If necessary, install the new AIPC 33-48-04-01-090 O-RING (6) or AIPC 33-48-84-01-100 ORING (6).
CAUTION:
MAKE SURE THAT THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS ARE CLEAN BEFORE YOU DISCONNECT OR CONNECT THEM. CONTAMINATION ON THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(4) Connect the electrical connector (8) to the LED module (5). (5) Put the LED module (5) on the flange (7).
(6) Loosely install the screws (4).
(7) Tighten the screws (4) in the sequence given in the figure.
(8) Apply the Polysulfide Sealant_General Purpose Brushable - (Material No.06AAA1) on the heads of the countersunk screws (4) (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802) and let it dry.
(9) Apply the Varnish-- Electrical Bonding Structure (Material No.04TMB2) on the head of the countersunk screw (4) that is used to do the electrical bonding.
(10) Make sure that the lens drain plug is correctly installed in the new lens (2).
(11) Install the seal (3) as follows:
(a) Make sure that the seal (3) is in good condition.
(b) If necessary, install the new AIPC 33-48-11-01-020 SEAL (3) or AIPC 33-48-11-01-030 SEAL (3) or AIPC 33-48-12-02-030 SEAL (3).
(12) Put the lens (2) on the fuselage.
(13) Make sure that the pin (11) engages correctly in the bung (12).
(14) Install the countersunk screws (1).
(15) Refer to the match marks that you made during the removal to install the screws (1) in the correct position.
(16) Tighten the screws (1) in the sequence given in the figure.
B. Preparation for the Test
Subtask 33-48-11-865-054-A WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT ALL THE CIRCUITS IN MAINTENANCE ARE ISOLATED BEFORE YOU SUPPLY ELECTRICAL POWER TO THE AIRCRAFT. UNWANTED ELECTRICAL POWER CAN BE DANGEROUS.
(1) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002). C. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

D. Operational Test
(1) Do the operational test of the upper beacon/strobe light (7LV) (Ref. AMM TASK 33-48-00-710-001).
