A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the aircraft elecrical circuits are energized (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(2) Make sure that the PTU isolation coupling is disconnected (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-860-002).
(3) Make sure that the flight configuration precautions are obeyed (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-860-001).
(4) Make sure that the Yellow hydraulic system is depressurized.
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-002).
(5) Make sure that the reservoir of the Yellow hydraulic system is depressurized.
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).

C. Preparation of Replacement Component
(1) Remove the unions (2) from the hydraulic brake filter (4) that was removed.
(2) Remove and discard the packings (3).
(3) Apply Phosphate Ester Hydraulic Fluid-General Power - - (Material No.02ABA1) to the new packings (3) and the threads of the unions (2).
(4) Install the packings (3) on the unions (2).
(5) Install the unions (2) in the new hydraulic brake filter (4).
(6) TORQUE the unions (2) to between 3.470 and 3.186 m.daN (25.59 and 23.50 lbf.ft )

Subtask 32-43-21-560-051-A (1) Remove the unions (2) from the hydraulic brake filter (4) that was removed.
(2) Remove and discard the packings (3).
(3) Apply Phosphate Ester Hydraulic Fluid-General Power - - (Material No.02ABA1) to the new packings (3) and the threads of the unions (2).
(4) Install the packings (3) on the unions (2).
(5) Install the unions (2) in the new hydraulic brake filter (4).
(6) TORQUE the unions (2) to between 3.470 and 3.186 m.daN (25.59 and 23.50 lbf.ft )
. D. Preparation for Installation
(1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(2) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
(3) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(4) Obey the hydraulic safety procedures (Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-910-002).
4. Procedure(1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(2) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
(3) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(4) Obey the hydraulic safety procedures (Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-910-002).
Subtask 32-43-21-420-050-A
A. Installation of the Hydraulic Brake Filter
(1) Put the hydraulic brake filter (4) in position and install the washers (5) and the bolts (6). Apply the Polysulfide Sealant-Low Adhesion Brushable - (Material No.06AEA1) to the component interface.
(2) Remove the blanking plugs and install the connectors (1) to the unions (2).
(3) TORQUE the connectors (1) to between 5.9 and 5.4 m.daN (43.51 and 39.82 lbf.ft )
(Ref. AMM TASK 20-23-11-917-001).
(4) Make a mark on the connectors with the Top Coat Polyurethane-- Decorative Furnishing (Material No.04JMD9) .
Subtask 32-43-21-865-052-A (1) Put the hydraulic brake filter (4) in position and install the washers (5) and the bolts (6). Apply the Polysulfide Sealant-Low Adhesion Brushable - (Material No.06AEA1) to the component interface.
(2) Remove the blanking plugs and install the connectors (1) to the unions (2).
(3) TORQUE the connectors (1) to between 5.9 and 5.4 m.daN (43.51 and 39.82 lbf.ft )
(Ref. AMM TASK 20-23-11-917-001). (4) Make a mark on the connectors with the Top Coat Polyurethane-- Decorative Furnishing (Material No.04JMD9) .
B. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

C. Prepare for the Test
(1) If necessary fill the reservoir of the Yellow hydraulic system to the correct level (Ref. AMM TASK 12-12-29-611-001).
(2) Connect the PTU isolation coupling (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-860-002).
(3) Remove the container.
(4) Remove the access platform(s).
(5) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
Subtask 32-43-21-710-050-A (1) If necessary fill the reservoir of the Yellow hydraulic system to the correct level (Ref. AMM TASK 12-12-29-611-001).
(2) Connect the PTU isolation coupling (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-860-002).
(3) Remove the container.
(4) Remove the access platform(s).
(5) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
D. Test
(1) Pressurize the brake accumulator (Ref. AMM TASK 12-14-32-614-002).
(2) Do the operational check of the Alternate braking system (Ref. AMM TASK 32-43-00-710-001).
(3) Make sure that there is no hydraulic fluid leakage from the hydraulic brake filter 2862GM. Leaks are not permitted.
5. Close-up(1) Pressurize the brake accumulator (Ref. AMM TASK 12-14-32-614-002).
(2) Do the operational check of the Alternate braking system (Ref. AMM TASK 32-43-00-710-001).
(3) Make sure that there is no hydraulic fluid leakage from the hydraulic brake filter 2862GM. Leaks are not permitted.
Subtask 32-43-21-410-050-A
A. Close Access
(1) Apply corrosion protection to the connectors, unions and adjacent areas (Ref. AMM TASK 51-75-13-916-002).
(2) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(3) Close the right MLG door (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-410-001).
(4) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
(1) Apply corrosion protection to the connectors, unions and adjacent areas (Ref. AMM TASK 51-75-13-916-002).
(2) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(3) Close the right MLG door (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-410-001).
(4) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
Hydraulic Brake Filter - Location and Detail
