A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the electrical circuits are de-energized (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002) or the flight configuration precautions were obeyed (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-860-001).
(2) Make sure that the PTU isolation coupling is disconnected (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-860-001).
(3) Make sure that the handle of the new MLG door control-unit is in the closed position.
(4) Make sure that the 98DNSA20208040 RIGGING PIN is in position through the actuating lever and into the bypass valve 2517GM (2518GM).
(5) Make sure that the Green hydraulic system is depressurized (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-001).
(6) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) are in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Green hydraulic system:
Subtask 32-12-15-865-052-A (1) Make sure that the electrical circuits are de-energized (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002) or the flight configuration precautions were obeyed (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-860-001).
(2) Make sure that the PTU isolation coupling is disconnected (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-860-001).

(5) Make sure that the Green hydraulic system is depressurized (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-001).
(6) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) are in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Green hydraulic system:
- On the panel 40VU in the cockpit,
- On the ground service panel of the Green hydraulic system.
B. Make sure that this(these) circuit breaker(s) is(are) open, safetied and tagged:

A. Installation of the Control Unit
(2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
(4) Apply Non Hardening Jointing Putty-Medium Temp. Area - - (Material No.06LCG9) to the bolts (9) and the washers (10).
(5) Apply Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Interfay - (Material No.06AAC1) to the interface of the control unit (11).
(6) Put the control unit (11) in position and install the washers (10) and the bolts (9).
(7) Apply corrosion protection to the heads of the bolts (9) (Ref. AMM TASK 51-75-13-916-002).
(8) Put the control cable (2) in position in the bracket (1). Make sure that the bracket (1) is between the washers (12).
(9) TORQUE the locknut (3) to between 3.15 and 2.85 m.daN (23.23 and 21.02 lbf.ft )

(10) Safety the locknut (3) with14QFB1 Wire-Locking Dia: 0.8 mm CRES Nickel Alloy - .
Subtask 32-12-15-820-050-A WARNING:
USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
(1) Clean the component interface and/or the adjacent area with a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) made moist with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) . (2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
(4) Apply Non Hardening Jointing Putty-Medium Temp. Area - - (Material No.06LCG9) to the bolts (9) and the washers (10).
(5) Apply Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Interfay - (Material No.06AAC1) to the interface of the control unit (11).
(6) Put the control unit (11) in position and install the washers (10) and the bolts (9).
(7) Apply corrosion protection to the heads of the bolts (9) (Ref. AMM TASK 51-75-13-916-002).
(8) Put the control cable (2) in position in the bracket (1). Make sure that the bracket (1) is between the washers (12).
(9) TORQUE the locknut (3) to between 3.15 and 2.85 m.daN (23.23 and 21.02 lbf.ft )

B. Check of the Adjustment of the Door Ground-Opening Control
(a) Remove and discard the lockwire from the locknut (14).
(b) Loosen the locknut (14).
(c) Adjust the angle joint (4) until you can connect it to the support (5).
(d) TORQUE the locknut (14) to between 0.33 and 0.27 m.daN (29.20 and 23.89 lbf.in )

(2) Make sure that the angle joint (4) is in safety.
(3) If the angle joint (4) is not in safety:
(a) Loosen the locknuts (14) and (15).
(b) Remove the angle joint (4) from the support (5) and turn it until it is in safety.
(c) Turn the swivel end assembly (13) until you can connect the angle joint (4) to the support (5).
(d) TORQUE the locknut (14) to between 0.33 and 0.27 m.daN (29.20 and 23.89 lbf.in )

(e) Make sure that the angle joint (4) is in safety.
(f) Make sure that the inner cable of the cable assembly (2) is between the two inspection holes of the swivel end assembly (13).
(g) TORQUE the locknut (15) to between 0.66 and 0.54 m.daN (58.41 and 47.79 lbf.in )
.
(4) Connect the angle joint (4) to the support (5) and install the washer (8) and the nut (7).
(5) Safety the nut (7) with a new AIPC 32-12-16-01-015 COTTER PIN (6) or a new AIPC 32-12-16-02-015 COTTER PIN (6).
(6) Safety the locknut (14) with14QFB1 Wire-Locking Dia: 0.8 mm CRES Nickel Alloy - .
(7) Remove the rigging pin from the bypass valve 2517GM (2518GM).
Subtask 32-12-15-865-054-A WARNING:
USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
(1) Put the angle joint (4) in position at the support (5). If necessary adjust the position of the angle joint (4) as follows: (a) Remove and discard the lockwire from the locknut (14).
(b) Loosen the locknut (14).
(c) Adjust the angle joint (4) until you can connect it to the support (5).
(d) TORQUE the locknut (14) to between 0.33 and 0.27 m.daN (29.20 and 23.89 lbf.in )
. (2) Make sure that the angle joint (4) is in safety.
(3) If the angle joint (4) is not in safety:
(a) Loosen the locknuts (14) and (15).
(b) Remove the angle joint (4) from the support (5) and turn it until it is in safety.
(c) Turn the swivel end assembly (13) until you can connect the angle joint (4) to the support (5).
(d) TORQUE the locknut (14) to between 0.33 and 0.27 m.daN (29.20 and 23.89 lbf.in )
. (e) Make sure that the angle joint (4) is in safety.
(f) Make sure that the inner cable of the cable assembly (2) is between the two inspection holes of the swivel end assembly (13).
(g) TORQUE the locknut (15) to between 0.66 and 0.54 m.daN (58.41 and 47.79 lbf.in )
. (4) Connect the angle joint (4) to the support (5) and install the washer (8) and the nut (7).
(5) Safety the nut (7) with a new AIPC 32-12-16-01-015 COTTER PIN (6) or a new AIPC 32-12-16-02-015 COTTER PIN (6).
(6) Safety the locknut (14) with
(7) Remove the rigging pin from the bypass valve 2517GM (2518GM).
C. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

D. Preparation for Test
(1) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002)
(2) Move the applicable MLG door control-handle to the open position.
(3) Connect the PTU isolation coupling (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-860-002).
(4) If the flight configuration precautions were obeyed, put the aircraft back to the serviceable condition (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-860-002).
(5) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(6) Remove the access platform(s).
Subtask 32-12-15-720-050-A (1) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002)
(2) Move the applicable MLG door control-handle to the open position.
(3) Connect the PTU isolation coupling (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-860-002).
(4) If the flight configuration precautions were obeyed, put the aircraft back to the serviceable condition (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-860-002).
(5) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(6) Remove the access platform(s).
E. Functional Test
(1) Close the applicable MLG door (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-410-001). Make sure that the MLG door control-handle can move freely and is clear of the aircraft structure.
(2) Open the applicable MLG door (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-010-001). Make sure that the MLG door control-handle can move freely and is clear of the aircraft structure.
5. Close-up(1) Close the applicable MLG door (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-410-001). Make sure that the MLG door control-handle can move freely and is clear of the aircraft structure.
(2) Open the applicable MLG door (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-010-001). Make sure that the MLG door control-handle can move freely and is clear of the aircraft structure.

(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Close the applicable MLG door (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-410-001).
