   (2) Make sure that you did the procedure to prevent engine motoring and to stop the electrical supply to the Electronic Engine Control (EEC)

D. Deactivation of the Thrust Reverser System for Maintenance
WARNING: YOU MUST DEACTIVATE THE THRUST REVERSER BEFORE YOU DO WORK ON OR AROUND IT. IF YOU DO NOT, THE THRUST REVERSER CAN OPERATE ACCIDENTALLY AND CAUSE AN INJURY AND/OR DAMAGE.
   (1) Make sure that you did the deactivation of the thrust reverser system for maintenance (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-040-805).

E. Get Access
   (1) Make sure that the right thrust reverser cowl-door is open (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-00-010-802):
     (a) FOR [4020KM1] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENG 1)

   (2) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE is in position.
4. Procedure
CAUTION: REMOVE AND INSTALL PROTECTION COVERS AS NECESSARY TO PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE AND ADJACENT COMPONENTS.
CAUTION: WIPE CLEAN ALL PARTS AND TOOLS AS NECESSARY TO REMOVE UNWANTED DEBRIS AND PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE.

A. Installation of the Nacelle Anti-Ice Solenoid-Manifold
CAUTION: USE TEFLON-JAWED PLIERS TO LOOSEN/TIGHTEN ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS. DO NOT USE METAL-JAWED PLIERS. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THIS INSTRUCTION, DAMAGE TO THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS CAN OCCUR.
CAUTION: USE A SECOND WRENCH TO HOLD THE MATING PARTS WHEN YOU LOOSEN OR TIGHTEN THE TUBE OR HOSE NUTS. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THIS CAUTION, YOU CAN TWIST OR CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE TUBES OR HOSES.
   (1) Install the nacelle anti-Ice solenoid manifold (1).
WARNING: BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU USE CONSUMABLE MATERIALS. OBEY THE MATERIAL MANUFACTURER'S INSTRUCTIONS AND YOUR LOCAL REGULATIONS.
     (a) Apply a thin layer of Never-Seez Pure Nickel Special (Material No.PU5-0003) to the threads of the bolts (3).
     (b) Install the solenoid manifold (1) on the engine case bracket with the bolts (3) and washers (2).
     (c) Remove the CAP - PROTECTION from the forward valve 1 sense tube, forward valve 2 sense tube, and solenoid manifold (1).
     (d) TORQUE the bolts (3) to between 3.05 and 2.75 m.N (26.99 and 24.34 lbf.in ) T.
     (e) Connect the forward valve 2 sense tube to the solenoid manifold (1) (
Ref. AMM TASK 30-21-12-400-801).
     (f) Connect the forward valve 1 sense tube to the solenoid manifold (1) (Ref. AMM TASK 30-21-12-400-801).
     (g) Remove the CAP - PROTECTION from the solenoid harness connectors.
     (h) Make sure that the electrical connectors are clean and in the correct condition.
     (i) Connect the two connectors on the solenoid harness to the solenoid manifold (1).
     (j) Tighten the connectors on the harness with PLIERS - CONNECTOR, JAW, SOFT. Continue to tighten the connectors until the PLIERS - CONNECTOR, JAW, SOFT no longer hold the connector rings and cannot turn them.
     (k) Make sure you feel the ratchet feature on the connectors as you tighten them.
NOTE: Lightly push the connectors in and from side-to-side as you tighten them.

A. Close Access
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Remove the access platform(s).
   (3) Close the right thrust reverser cowl-door (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-00-410-802):
     (a) FOR [4020KM1] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENG 1)

   (2) Remove the access platform(s).
   (3) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
   (4) Make sure that all the circuit breakers shown in the paragraph Procedure of the engine interface unit installation are closed. If they are not, close them in the recommended sequence
(Ref. AMM TASK 73-25-34-400-802).
