     (e) In the main gear compartment, turn the RH WING manual selector valve to the OFF position.
   (6) Permitted leakage rates of the components:
     (a) The maximum permitted internal leakage for components related to the Green hydraulic system is:
Aileron servocontrol: 1.5 l.min (0.3963 USgal.mn)
Spoiler 5: 1.5 l.min (0.3963 USgal.mn)
THS actuator servovalve: 0.75 l.min (0.1981 USgal.mn)
Elevator servocontrol: 1.5 l.min (0.3963 USgal.mn)
Rudder servocontrol: 2.1 l.min (0.5548 USgal.mn)
Yaw damper actuator: 1.3 l.min (0.3434 USgal.mn)
Flap PCU valve block: 0.2 l.min (0.0528 USgal.mn)
Slat PCU valve block: 0.2 l.min (0.0528 USgal.mn)

NOTE: The maximum leakage rates for components are given only to assist in trouble shooting. The total leakage of components in a section (left wing, right wing etc) of the system must be less than the permitted maximum for that section. Also, the total leakages of the sections must not together be more than the leakage permitted for the complete system.
     (b) If the internal leakage rate is too high you can find the defective component if you:
1 Listen to the pipes and components which may be the cause.
2 Feel the pipes and components, a high leakage rate will cause an increase in their temperature.
CAUTION: DO NOT DISCONNECT AND CAP THE RETURN LINE FROM A SERVOCONTROL TO DO A LEAKAGE CHECK. IF A SUPPLY OF SYSTEM PRESSURE GETS TO THE SERVOCONTROL IT CAN CAUSE DAMAGE IF THERE IS NO RETURN FLOW.
     (c) If you think that a servocontrol is the cause, disconnect and cap the supply to the servocontrol. Do the test again and if the leakage rate is now in limits, the servocontrol is the defective component.
   (7) If the check is satisfactory, do the steps that follow:
     (a) Open, safety and tag this(these) circuit breaker(s):
1GA, 2GA, 52GA, 1701GK, 1702GK.
     (b) Remove the blanking plug from the electrical connector 49GA-A.
     (c) Connect the electrical connector 49GA-A to the safety valve 49GA.

   (7) Permitted leakage rates of the components and how to find the defective component:
     (a) The maximum permitted internal leakage for components related to the Green hydraulic system is:
Aileron servocontrol: 1.5 l.min (0.39 USgal.mn)
Spoiler 5: 1.5 l.min (0.39 USgal.mn)
THS actuator servovalve: 0.75 l.min (0.19 USgal.mn)
Elevator servocontrol: 1.5 l.min (0.39 USgal.mn)
Rudder servocontrol: 2.1 l.min (0.55 USgal.mn)
Yaw damper actuator: 1.3 l.min (0.34 USgal.mn)
Flap PCU valve block: 0.2 l.min (0.05 USgal.mn)
Slat PCU valve block: 0.2 l.min (0.05 USgal.mn)

NOTE: The maximum leakage rates for components are given to help in trouble shooting. The total leakage of components in a section (left wing, right wing etc) of the system must be less than the leakage permitted for that section. Also, the sum of all leakages of all the sections must not be more than the leakage permitted for the full system.
     (b) If the internal leakage rate is too high you can find the defective component if you:
1 Listen to the pipes and components which can be the cause.
2 Touch the pipes and components, a high leakage rate will cause an increase in their temperature.
Do the test again and if the leakage rate is in limits, the servocontrol is the defective component.
   (8) If the check result is satisfactory, do the steps that follow:
     (a) Open, safety and tag this(these) circuit breaker(s):
1GA, 2GA, 52GA, 1701GK, 1702GK.
     (b) Remove the blanking plug from the electrical connector 49GA-A.
     (c) Connect the electrical connector 49GA-A to the safety valve 49GA.

     (j) Refer to the ground instruction manual of the ultrasonic flow meter to set:

  • The input location code on the ultrasonic flow meter to numeric code: 28073802 (Green right wing section).
     (k) Obey the instructions of the ground instruction manual of the ultrasonic flow meter when you do these work steps.
     (l) Monitor the flow on the ultrasonic flow meter display. It must not be more than 3.0 l.min (0.79 USgal.mn).
     (m) If the internal leakage is more than 3.0 l.min (0.79 USgal.mn) do the steps in Para A.(7) to find the cause of the high internal leakage.

3 Remove the leakage transducer (5) from the pipe (1).
     (o) Disconnect the leakage transducer cable (8) from the transmitter (9).
   (7) Permitted leakage rates of the components and how to find the defective component:
     (a) The maximum permitted internal leakage for components related to the Green hydraulic system is:
Aileron servocontrol: 1.5 l.min (0.40 USgal.mn)
Spoiler 5: 1.5 l.min (0.40 USgal.mn)
THS actuator servovalve: 0.75 l.min (0.20 USgal.mn)
Elevator servocontrol: 1.5 l.min (0.40 USgal.mn)
