C. Safety Precautions
(1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Make sure that the ENG/MODE/CRANK/NORM/IGN/START selector switch is in the NORM position.
(b) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2) Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than 5 minutes before you do this procedure.
(3) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU:
(a) Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(b) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).
(4) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position below the pylon.
Subtask 26-21-00-010-065-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU:

(2) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.

Subtask 26-21-00-280-051-B
A. Check of Engine-1 Fire-Extinguisher Bottle 1 (6WE1)
(1) Do a check for continuity between pin 2 and pin 3 of engine-1 fire-extinguisher bottle 1 (6WE1) with a MULTIMETER - STANDARD.
(a) If there is no continuity, do the weight check of the engine fire-extinguisher bottle (Ref. AMM TASK 26-21-41-280-001).
(b) If there is continuity, go to step 4.A.(2).
(2) Engage the ALLEN KEY 3/32 IN into the test point (Allen key).
(3) Do a check for continuity between pin 2 and pin 3 of engine-1 fire-extinguisher bottle 1 (6WE1) with the MULTIMETER - STANDARD.
(a) If there is continuity, do the weight check of the engine fire-extinguisher bottle (Ref. AMM TASK 26-21-41-280-001).
(b) If there is no continuity, go to step 4.A.(4).
(4) Release the Allen key.
(a) If there is no continuity, do the weight check of the engine fire-extinguisher bottle (Ref. AMM TASK 26-21-41-280-001).
Subtask 26-21-00-280-052-B (1) Do a check for continuity between pin 2 and pin 3 of engine-1 fire-extinguisher bottle 1 (6WE1) with a MULTIMETER - STANDARD.
(a) If there is no continuity, do the weight check of the engine fire-extinguisher bottle (Ref. AMM TASK 26-21-41-280-001).
(b) If there is continuity, go to step 4.A.(2).
(2) Engage the ALLEN KEY 3/32 IN into the test point (Allen key).
CAUTION:
TO DO THE MANUAL PRESSURE TEST OF THE ENGINE-FIRE EXTINGUISHER BOTTLE, TURN THE ALLEN KEY CLOCKWISE UNTIL YOU FEEL A FORCE (AT APPROXIMATELY 10 DEGREES). DO NOT TURN THE ALLEN KEY MORE THAN NECESSARY TO PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE PRESSURE SWITCH.
(a) Turn the Allen key clockwise (by 10 degrees approximately) until you feel a force, and hold it in this position. (3) Do a check for continuity between pin 2 and pin 3 of engine-1 fire-extinguisher bottle 1 (6WE1) with the MULTIMETER - STANDARD.
(a) If there is continuity, do the weight check of the engine fire-extinguisher bottle (Ref. AMM TASK 26-21-41-280-001).
(b) If there is no continuity, go to step 4.A.(4).
(4) Release the Allen key.
NOTE: If the pressure in the bottle is correct, the Allen key goes back to its initial position.
(5) Do a check for continuity between pin 2 and pin 3 of engine-1 fire-extinguisher bottle 1 (6WE1) with the MULTIMETER - STANDARD. (a) If there is no continuity, do the weight check of the engine fire-extinguisher bottle (Ref. AMM TASK 26-21-41-280-001).
B. Check of Engine-1 Fire-Extinguisher Bottle 2 (8WE1)
(1) Do a check for continuity between pin 2 and pin 3 of engine-1 fire-extinguisher bottle 2 (8WE1) with a MULTIMETER - STANDARD.
(a) If there is no continuity, do the weight check of the engine fire-extinguisher bottle (Ref. AMM TASK 26-21-41-280-001).
(b) If there is continuity, go to step 4.B.(2).
(2) Engage the ALLEN KEY 3/32 IN into the test point (Allen key).
(3) Do a check for continuity between pin 2 and pin 3 of engine-1 fire-extinguisher bottle 2 (8WE1) with the MULTIMETER - STANDARD.
(a) If there is continuity, do the weight check of the engine fire-extinguisher bottle (Ref. AMM TASK 26-21-41-280-001).
(b) If there is no continuity, go to step 4.B.(4).
(4) Release the Allen key.
(a) If there is no continuity, do the weight check of the engine fire-extinguisher bottle (Ref. AMM TASK 26-21-41-280-001).
Subtask 26-21-00-280-053-B (1) Do a check for continuity between pin 2 and pin 3 of engine-1 fire-extinguisher bottle 2 (8WE1) with a MULTIMETER - STANDARD.
(a) If there is no continuity, do the weight check of the engine fire-extinguisher bottle (Ref. AMM TASK 26-21-41-280-001).
(b) If there is continuity, go to step 4.B.(2).

C. Check of Engine-2 Fire-Extinguisher Bottle 1 (6WE2)
(1) Do a check for continuity between pin 2 and pin 3 of engine-2 fire-extinguisher bottle 1 (6WE2) with a MULTIMETER - STANDARD.
(a) If there is no continuity, do the weight check of the engine fire-extinguisher bottle (Ref. AMM TASK 26-21-41-280-001).
(b) If there is continuity, go to step 4.C.(2).
(2) Engage the ALLEN KEY 3/32 IN into the test point (Allen key).
(3) Do a check for continuity between pin 2 and pin 3 of engine-2 fire-extinguisher bottle 1 (6WE2) with the MULTIMETER - STANDARD.
(a) If there is continuity, do the weight check of the engine fire-extinguisher bottle (Ref. AMM TASK 26-21-41-280-001).
(b) If there is no continuity, go to step 4.C.(4).

Subtask 26-21-00-280-054-B (1) Do a check for continuity between pin 2 and pin 3 of engine-2 fire-extinguisher bottle 1 (6WE2) with a MULTIMETER - STANDARD.
(a) If there is no continuity, do the weight check of the engine fire-extinguisher bottle (Ref. AMM TASK 26-21-41-280-001).
(b) If there is continuity, go to step 4.C.(2).
(2) Engage the ALLEN KEY 3/32 IN into the test point (Allen key).

D. Check of Engine-2 Fire-Extinguisher Bottle 2 (8WE2)
(1) Do a check for continuity between pin 2 and pin 3 of engine-2 fire-extinguisher bottle 2 (8WE2) with a MULTIMETER - STANDARD.
(a) If there is no continuity, do the weight check of the engine fire-extinguisher bottle (Ref. AMM TASK 26-21-41-280-001).
(b) If there is continuity, go to step 4.D.(2).
(2) Engage the ALLEN KEY 3/32 IN into the test point (Allen key).
(3) Do a check for continuity between pin 2 and pin 3 of engine-2 fire-extinguisher bottle 2 (8WE2) with the MULTIMETER - STANDARD.
(a) If there is continuity, do the weight check of the engine fire-extinguisher bottle (Ref. AMM TASK 26-21-41-280-001).
(b) If there is no continuity, go to step 4.D.(4).

Subtask 26-21-00-420-050-A (1) Do a check for continuity between pin 2 and pin 3 of engine-2 fire-extinguisher bottle 2 (8WE2) with a MULTIMETER - STANDARD.
(a) If there is no continuity, do the weight check of the engine fire-extinguisher bottle (Ref. AMM TASK 26-21-41-280-001).
(b) If there is continuity, go to step 4.D.(2).

E. Connect the electrical connector

(1) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
(2) Make sure that all the electrical connections are clean and in the correct condition.
(3) Connect the electrical connector (2) to the pressure switch (3) of the related fire extinguisher bottle (1).

G. Do this test
(1) Do an operational test of the engine fire and overheat detection (loop/squib) (Ref. AMM TASK 26-12-00-710-001).
(3) Put an applicable placard in position in the cockpit (refer to your standard practices and local regulations).

NOTE: On the ENG/APU FIRE panel 1WD, ignore the DISCH legends which come on on the ENG 1 (2) AGENT 1 and AGENT 2 pushbutton switches.
(2) Make an entry in the logbook.(3) Put an applicable placard in position in the cockpit (refer to your standard practices and local regulations).

A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Install the access planel(s) (Ref. AMM TASK 54-51-21-400-001).
(a) FOR [6WE1] (BOTTLE 1-FIRE EXTING, ENG 1), [8WE1] (BOTTLE 2-FIRE EXTING, ENG 1)
(b) FOR [6WE2] (BOTTLE 1-FIRE EXTING, ENG 2), [8WE2] (BOTTLE 2-FIRE EXTING, ENG 2)
(3) Remove the access platform(s).
(4) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
Subtask 26-21-00-410-080-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Install the access planel(s) (Ref. AMM TASK 54-51-21-400-001).
