A. Safety Precautions
WARNING: BEFORE YOU DO WORK IN OR NEAR A FUEL TANK, MAKE SURE THAT YOU OBEY ALL THE SAFETY PROCEDURES. THIS WILL PREVENT INJURY TO PERSONS AND/OR DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT.
   (1) As necessary, use the applicable SAFETY BARRIERS, specified by the operator's instructions and your local regulations.
NOTE: You must obey the fuel safety procedures (Ref. AMM TASK 28-10-00-910-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 28-10-00-910-002) when you do work in a fuel tank.
   (2) Install the 98D27803500001 LOCKING TOOL ZERO POS on the flap/slat control lever.
   (3) Put WARNING NOTICE(S) in position in the cockpit to tell persons not to operate the flaps or slats.

B. Fuel Configuration
   (1) Defuel the applicable fuel tank (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-00-650-001).
   (2) Drain the remaining fuel from the applicable fuel tank (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-00-650-003).

C. Get Access
   (1) Put an adjustable ACCESS PLATFORM 5M (16 FT) in position at the zones 540 and 640.
   (2) Open the RIB2 surge doors:
     (a) For the left wing:

   (3) Remove the access panels between RIB2 to RIB13 (Ref. AMM TASK 57-27-11-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 57-27-11-000-005):
     (a) For the left wing:
     (b) For the right wing:
   (4) Remove the access panels between RIB13 to RIB22 (Ref. AMM TASK 57-27-11-000-002):
     (a) For the left wing:

   (1) Do a visual inspection of the wiring to make sure that there is no signs of ageing, alteration, overheating, scaling and deformation ESPM 2052110:
     (a) On sensitive routes: 1S and 2S and fuel quantity probes.

   (2) Remove the 98D27803500001 LOCKING TOOL ZERO POS from the flap/slat control lever.

   (5) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
