Subtask 57-27-12-941-054-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

A. Safety Precautions
(1) Obey the safety procedures when you do work in the fuel tank (Ref. AMM TASK 28-10-00-910-001).
(2) As necessary, use the applicable SAFETY BARRIERS, specified by the operator's instructions and your local regulations.
(3) Install the 98D27803500001 LOCKING TOOL ZERO POS on the slats and flaps control lever.
(4) In the cockpit, on the center pedestal, put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate the slats and flaps control lever.

Subtask 57-27-12-010-052-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

B. Get Access
(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position below the wing fuel tank, at zone 540(640).
(2) Remove the applicable access panel (Ref. AMM TASK 57-27-11-000-001):

For the left wing: 540AB
For the right wing: 640AB.

4. Procedure
Subtask 57-27-12-020-052-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

A. Removal of the Rib 2 Access Panel 540AZ (640AZ) or 540BZ (640BZ)
(1) Remove the nuts (2), the washers (3), the bonding leads (7) and the bolts (8).
(2) Hold the rib 2 access panel (9) and remove the bolts (6), the washers (5) and the clamp disks (4).
(3) Remove the rib 2 access panel (9).
(4) Remove and discard the seal (1) from the rib 2 access panel (9).
