4. Procedure
Subtask 21-61-51-420-050-B
A. Installation of the Air-Inlet Flap Actuator
   (1) Do not turn the jack screw when you install the air-inlet flap actuator.
   (2) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
   (3) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (4) Prepare the surface of the bonding point(s)
(Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-803).
   (5) Put the air-inlet flap actuator (9) in position on the bracket (15).
   (6) Install the bolt (16), the washer (4) and the nut (6).
   (7) TORQUE the nut (6) to between 0.385 and 0.315 m.daN (34.07 and 27.88 lbf.in ) T.
WARNING: USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL A COTTER PIN. EACH TIME YOU REMOVE A COTTER PIN DURING THE TASK, DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. A LOOSE COTTER PIN CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND.
   (8) Install the new
AIPC 21-61-03-10-040 PIN-COTTER (5) or AIPC 21-61-83-10-090 PIN-COTTER (5) and safety it.
   (9) Put the air-inlet-flap actuator-rod eye-end in position in the lever (12).
   (10) Install the sleeve (13), bolt (14), washer (11) and nut (10).
   (11) TORQUE the nut (10) to between 0.77 and 0.63 m.daN (68.14 and 55.75 lbf.in )
T.
   (12) Put the bonding straps (3) in position and install the screw (2), the washer (7) and the nut (8).
   (13) Do the electrical resistance measurement and the final protection of the bonding point(s)
(
Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).
   (14) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
CAUTION: MAKE SURE THAT THE BONDING STRAP(S) IS(ARE) CONNECTED BEFORE YOU CONNECT THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR(S).
CAUTION: MAKE SURE THAT THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS ARE CLEAN BEFORE YOU DISCONNECT OR CONNECT THEM. CONTAMINATION ON THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
   (15) Connect the electrical connector (1).
Subtask 21-61-51-820-051-B
B. Adjustment of the Ram-Air Inlet Flap
   (1) Adjust the DIM "C" according the measured value of removed Air-Inlet-Flap Actuator (Ref. AMM TASK 21-61-51-000-001).
Ensure that the flap is not in touch with the ram channel over the whole length of the gap when the actuator is fully extended.
   (2) If DIM "C" of removed part is not available, do the adjustment of the ram-air inlet flap (Ref. AMM TASK 21-61-51-820-001).
Subtask 21-61-51-865-075-A
