Installation of the Lubrication and Scavenge Oil Pump

B. Get Access
(1) Make sure that the fan cowl doors are open (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-802):

C. Deactivation of the Thrust Reverser for Ground Maintenance

YOU MUST DEACTIVATE THE THRUST REVERSER BEFORE YOU DO WORK ON OR AROUND IT. IF YOU DO NOT, THE THRUST REVERSER CAN OPERATE ACCIDENTALLY AND CAUSE AN INJURY AND/OR DAMAGE.
(1) Make sure that you did the deactivation of the thrust reverser system for ground maintenance (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-040-805). D. Get Access

4. Procedure(1) Make sure that the thrust reverser cowl-doors are open (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-00-010-802):

CAUTION:
WIPE CLEAN ALL PARTS AND TOOLS AS NECESSARY TO REMOVE UNWANTED DEBRIS AND PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE.
Subtask 79-21-01-420-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL A. Installation of the Lubrication and Scavenge Oil Pump
(1) Removal of protection covers:
(2) If necessary, install the chip collector assemblies and the oil filter differential pressure sensor as follows:
(a) Install the magnetic chip collector assemblies (Ref. AMM TASK 79-22-01-400-801).
(b) Install the oil filter differential pressure sensor (Ref. AMM TASK 79-33-23-400-801).
(3) Install the oil pump (1) on the tooling as follows:
(a) Install the detail base on the PWA106340 JACK, HYDRAULIC - VFG, EDP, FUEL PUMP, STARTER with the three detail cap screws.
(4) Connect the tube (LR30) (15) to the angle gearbox as follows:
1 Rubber that is not bonded to the metal is not permitted.
2 Rubber that is not there is not permitted.
3 Rubber that is cut or damaged is not permitted.
4 Rubber that is not above the metal is not permitted.
(b) Install the strainer element (18) on the angle gearbox.
PRE SB C72-00-0077A (Config-1 Initial Design Configuration)
(5) Install the oil pump (1) on the Main Gearbox (MGB) as follows:
(a) Install the oil pump (1) on the three adapter captive screws.
(b) Apply Antigalling Compound (Material No.P06-054) on the threads of the four oil pump captive bolts and the bolts (4).
P03-001 lubricant, aircraft turbine engine on the driveshaft splines.
(d) Inspect the current seal plate (2) for possibility to use it again as follows:
1 No raised material on the metal surface.
2 Rubber that is not bonded to the seal plate is not permitted.
3 Rubber that is missing is not permitted.
4 Inspect the rubber seal for separation from the seal plate.
5 Rubber that is cut or damaged is not permitted.
6 Make sure the rubber material is above the metal surface.
(e) Put the EIPC 79-21-01-01-050 SEAL PLATE (2) on the rear face of the oil pump (1).
(f) Adjust the adapter handle and the hand knob and the two lift hand wheels to align the oil pump (1) with the MGB.
(g) Lift the oil pump:
(h) Align the oil pump (1) dowel pins with the MGB.
(i) Move the oil pump (1) rearward and engage the driveshaft with the gearbox splines.
(j) Install the oil pump (1) on the MGB with the four washers (3) and the bolts (4) fingertight.
(k) Install the oil pump (1) on the MGB with the four captive bolts.
(l) TORQUE the four captive bolts and four bolts (4) to between 230 and 200 lbf.in (2.60 and 2.26 m.daN )
in an equal and opposite pattern until the same torque indication holds.
(m) Loosen the three adapter captive screws and remove the PWA211314 ADAPTER, INSTALLATION from the oil pump (1).
(n) Lower the PWA106340 JACK, HYDRAULIC - VFG, EDP, FUEL PUMP, STARTER.
(o) Loosen the four captive screws and remove the PWA211314 ADAPTER, INSTALLATION from the base.
(p) Remove the three captive screws.
(q) Remove the base from the PWA106340 JACK, HYDRAULIC - VFG, EDP, FUEL PUMP, STARTER.

Post SB C72-00-0077A (Config-2 Improved Oil Pump Configuration)
(6) Install the oil pump (1) on the MGB as follows:
(a) Install the oil pump (1) on the three adapter captive screws.
(b) Apply Antigalling Compound (Material No.P06-054) on the threads of the four oil pump (1) captive bolts and the bolts (4).
P03-001 lubricant, aircraft turbine engine on the driveshaft splines.
(d) Install the strainer (5) in the oil pump (1) as follows:
1 ApplyP03-001 lubricant, aircraft turbine engine on the new EIPC 79-21-01-01-330 PACKING (6).
2 Install the packing (6) in the groove in the strainer (5).
3 Install the EIPC 79-21-01-01-340 STRAINER (5) in the oil pump (1).
(e) Inspect the current seal plate (2) for possibility to use it again as follows:
1 No raised material on the metal surface.
2 Rubber that is not bonded to the seal plate is not permitted.
3 Rubber that is missing is not permitted.
4 Inspect the rubber seal for separation from the seal plate.
5 Rubber that is cut or damaged is not permitted.
6 Make sure the rubber material is above the metal surface.
(f) Put the EIPC 79-21-01-01-050 SEAL PLATE (2) on the rear face of the oil pump (1).
(g) Adjust the adapter handle, the hand knob and the two lift hand wheels to align the oil pump (1) with the MGB.
(h) Lift the oil pump:
(i) Align the oil pump (1) dowel pins with the MGB.
(j) Move the oil pump (1) rearward and engage the driveshaft with the gearbox splines.
(k) Install the oil pump (1) on the MGB with the four washers (3) and the bolts (4) fingertight.
(l) Install the oil pump (1) on the MGB with the four captive bolts.
(m) TORQUE the four captive bolts and the four bolts (4) to between 230 and 200 lbf.in (2.60 and 2.26 m.daN )
in an equal and opposite pattern until the same torque indication holds.
(n) Loosen the three adapter captive screws and remove the PWA211314 ADAPTER, INSTALLATION from the oil pump (1).
(o) Lower the PWA106340 JACK, HYDRAULIC - VFG, EDP, FUEL PUMP, STARTER.
(p) Loosen the four captive screws and remove the PWA211314 ADAPTER, INSTALLATION from the base.
(q) Remove the three captive screws.
(r) Remove the base from the PWA106340 JACK, HYDRAULIC - VFG, EDP, FUEL PUMP, STARTER.
END of the POST SB C72-00-0077A (Config-2 Improved Oil Pump Configuration)
(7) Install the tube (LR30) (15) as follows:
1 Rubber that is not bonded to the metal is not permitted.
2 Rubber that is not there is not permitted.
3 Rubber that is cut or damaged is not permitted.
4 Rubber that is not above the metal is not permitted.
(b) Apply Antigalling Compound (Material No.P06-054) on the threads of the three bolts (16).
(d) TORQUE the three bolts (16), the two bolts (20) and the bolt (21) to between 100 and 90 lbf.in (1.13 and 1.02 m.daN )
in small increments and until the same torque indication holds.
(8) Install the tube (LR35) (32) as follows:
(a) Examine the EIPC 79-21-01-01-070 FACE SEAL (31) and EIPC 72-62-01-01-090 FACE SEAL (34) for serviceability as follows:
1 Rubber that is not bonded to the metal is not permitted.
2 Rubber that is missing is not permitted.
3 Rubber that is cut or damaged is not permitted.
4 Rubber that is not above the metal is not permitted.
(b) Apply Antigalling Compound (Material No.P06-054) on the threads of the three bolts (16) and the two bolts (35).
(d) Connect the tube (LR35) (32) to the angle gearbox with the face seal (34), the bracket (33) and the two bolts (35).
(e) TORQUE the three bolts (16) and the two bolts (35) to between 100 and 90 lbf.in (1.13 and 1.02 m.daN )
in small increments and until the same torque indication holds.
(9) Install the tubes (LB01) (51) and (LP03) (55) as follows:
(a) Examine the EIPC 72-61-01-01-060 FACE SEAL (52), EIPC 79-23-49-01-190 FACE SEAL (48) and the two EIPC 79-21-01-01-090 FACE SEALS (47) for serviceability as follows:
1 Rubber that is not bonded to the metal is not permitted.
2 Rubber that is missing is not permitted.
3 Rubber that is cut or damaged is not permitted.
4 Rubber that is not above the metal is not permitted.
(b) Apply Antigalling Compound (Material No.P06-054) on the threads of the three bolts (45), the six bolts (46), the bolt (49) and the two bolts (50).
(d) Install the tube (LP03) (55), bracket (44) and face seal (47) on the oil pump (1) with the three bolts (45) fingertight.
(e) Install the tube (LB01) (51) and the face seal (48) on the tube (LB02) and bracket (54) with the three bolts (46) and the nut (53) fingertight.
(f) Install the tube (LP03) (55) and face seal (47) on the tube (LP02) and bracket (54) with the three bolts (46) and the nut (53) fingertight.
(g) Install the bolt (49) on the clamp that attaches the tube (LB01) (51) to the oil pump (1).
(h) TORQUE the bolt (49) to between 44 and 38 lbf.in (0.50 and 0.43 m.daN )
.
(i) TORQUE the three bolts (45), the six bolts (46) and the two bolts (50) to between 100 and 90 lbf.in (1.13 and 1.02 m.daN )
in small increments and until the same torque indication holds.
(10) Install the tube (LR01) (67) as follows:
(a) Examine the two EIPC 79-21-01-01-090 FACE SEALS (47) for serviceability as follows:
1 Rubber that is not bonded to the metal is not permitted.
2 Rubber that is missing is not permitted.
3 Rubber that is cut or damaged is not permitted.
4 Rubber that is not above the metal is not permitted.
(b) Apply Antigalling Compound (Material No.P06-054) to the threads of the three bolts (16) and the nuts (65).
(d) Install the tube (LR01) (67) and the face seal (47) on the tube (LR02) with the three bolts (46) and nuts (65).
(e) TORQUE the three bolts (16) and nuts (65) to between 100 and 90 lbf.in (1.13 and 1.02 m.daN )
in small increments and until the same torque indication holds.
(11) Install the tube (LR21) (77) as follows:
(a) Apply Antigalling Compound (Material No.P06-054) on the threads of the three bolts (16) and the three bolts (80).
1 Rubber that is not bonded to the metal is not permitted.
2 Rubber that is missing is not permitted.
3 Rubber that is cut or damaged is not permitted.
4 Rubber that is not above the metal is not permitted.
(c) Install the tube (LR21) (77) and the face seal (79) on the tube (LR20) with the three bolts (80) fingertight.
(d) Install the tube (LR21) (77), bracket (78) and face seal (79) on the oil pump (1) with the three bolts (16).
(e) TORQUE the three bolts (16) and the three bolts (80) to between 100 and 90 lbf.in (1.13 and 1.02 m.daN )
in small increments and until the same torque indication holds.
(12) Install the 2.5 drain tube (DR65) (Ref. AMM TASK 71-71-49-400-801).
(13) Install the wiring harnesses (W03) and (W04), and connect the (WC10) wiring harness connector (P35) to the actuator receptacle (J35) as follows:
(a) Examine, align and engage the connector.
(b) Push lightly inward on the connector while tightening the coupling ring.
(c) Use the PLIERS - JAWED, SOFT and tighten the connector against the receptacle.
(d) While you tighten, push the connector in and from side to side.
(e) Make sure that you can feel the ratchet feature.
(f) Tighten the connector until the PLIERS - JAWED, SOFT slip on the connector ring.
(g) Attach the wiring harnesses (W03) and (W04) to the spring clips.
(h) Install the bolt (90) and the nut (91) on the clamp that attaches the wiring harnesses (W03) and (W04).
(i) TORQUE the bolt (90) to between 44 and 38 lbf.in (0.50 and 0.43 m.daN )

(14) Examine the chip collectors for proper installation.
(15) Fill the engine with oil (Ref. AMM TASK 79-00-00-610-801).
(16) Examine the assembly for unwanted objects, damage and correct assembly.
5. Close-up(1) Removal of protection covers:
CAUTION:
REMOVE THE PROTECTION COVERS FROM THE OPENINGS AS NECESSARY TO PREVENT ENGINE DAMAGE.
(a) Make sure that you remove all the necessary COVER - PROTECTION to prevent damage to the engine.(2) If necessary, install the chip collector assemblies and the oil filter differential pressure sensor as follows:
(a) Install the magnetic chip collector assemblies (Ref. AMM TASK 79-22-01-400-801).
(b) Install the oil filter differential pressure sensor (Ref. AMM TASK 79-33-23-400-801).
(3) Install the oil pump (1) on the tooling as follows:
(a) Install the detail base on the PWA106340 JACK, HYDRAULIC - VFG, EDP, FUEL PUMP, STARTER with the three detail cap screws.
NOTE: It is permitted to use the PWA80611 JACK-HYDRAULIC if the PWA106340 JACK, HYDRAULIC - VFG, EDP, FUEL PUMP, STARTER is not available.
(b) Attach the PWA211314 ADAPTER, INSTALLATION to the base with the four captive screws. (4) Connect the tube (LR30) (15) to the angle gearbox as follows:
CAUTION:
MAKE SURE THAT YOU INSTALL THE STRAINER ELEMENT WITH THE BOWL PART OF THE STRAINER INSTALLED INTO THE ANGLE GEARBOX. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THIS INSTRUCTION, DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE CAN OCCUR.
(a) Examine the face seal on the EIPC 72-62-01-01-080 STRAINER ELEMENT (18) for serviceability as follows: 1 Rubber that is not bonded to the metal is not permitted.
2 Rubber that is not there is not permitted.
3 Rubber that is cut or damaged is not permitted.
4 Rubber that is not above the metal is not permitted.
(b) Install the strainer element (18) on the angle gearbox.
NOTE: The bowl portion of the strainer element (18) inserts into the angle gearbox.
(c) Apply Antigalling Compound (Material No.P06-054) on the threads of the two bolts (20) and the bolt (21). NOTE: For the new or refurbished hardware with baked-on lubricant, do not do the wet application.
(d) Connect the tube (LR30) (15) and the bracket (19) to the angle gearbox with the two bolts (20) and the bolt (21) fingertight. PRE SB C72-00-0077A (Config-1 Initial Design Configuration)
(5) Install the oil pump (1) on the Main Gearbox (MGB) as follows:
(a) Install the oil pump (1) on the three adapter captive screws.
(b) Apply Antigalling Compound (Material No.P06-054) on the threads of the four oil pump captive bolts and the bolts (4).
NOTE: For the new or refurbished hardware with baked-on lubricant, do not do the wet application.
(c) Put (d) Inspect the current seal plate (2) for possibility to use it again as follows:
1 No raised material on the metal surface.
2 Rubber that is not bonded to the seal plate is not permitted.
3 Rubber that is missing is not permitted.
4 Inspect the rubber seal for separation from the seal plate.
5 Rubber that is cut or damaged is not permitted.
6 Make sure the rubber material is above the metal surface.
(e) Put the EIPC 79-21-01-01-050 SEAL PLATE (2) on the rear face of the oil pump (1).
(f) Adjust the adapter handle and the hand knob and the two lift hand wheels to align the oil pump (1) with the MGB.
(g) Lift the oil pump:
CAUTION:
HOLD THE WEIGHT OF THE OIL PUMP DURING THE INSTALLATION. DO NOT LET THE OIL PUMP HANG ON THE DOWEL PINS OR ON THE DRIVE SHAFT WITHOUT THE BOLTS ENGAGED. IF YOU DO, THE OIL PUMP CAN DISENGAGE THE GEARBOX AND DROP. THE OIL PUMP WEIGHT IS 66 LBS (30 KGS). IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THIS CAUTION, DAMAGE TO THE OIL PUMP AND ENGINE CAN OCCUR.
CAUTION:
BEFORE YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL THE OIL PUMP, MAKE SURE THAT THE TUBE (LR30) IS PROTECTED WITH PADS OR CLOTH.
IF THE TUBE IS NOT PROTECTED, DAMAGE TO IT CAN OCCUR.
1 Lift the oil pump (1) to the MGB with the PWA106340 JACK, HYDRAULIC - VFG, EDP, FUEL PUMP, STARTER. (h) Align the oil pump (1) dowel pins with the MGB.
(i) Move the oil pump (1) rearward and engage the driveshaft with the gearbox splines.
(j) Install the oil pump (1) on the MGB with the four washers (3) and the bolts (4) fingertight.
(k) Install the oil pump (1) on the MGB with the four captive bolts.
(l) TORQUE the four captive bolts and four bolts (4) to between 230 and 200 lbf.in (2.60 and 2.26 m.daN )
in an equal and opposite pattern until the same torque indication holds. (m) Loosen the three adapter captive screws and remove the PWA211314 ADAPTER, INSTALLATION from the oil pump (1).
(n) Lower the PWA106340 JACK, HYDRAULIC - VFG, EDP, FUEL PUMP, STARTER.
(o) Loosen the four captive screws and remove the PWA211314 ADAPTER, INSTALLATION from the base.
(p) Remove the three captive screws.
(q) Remove the base from the PWA106340 JACK, HYDRAULIC - VFG, EDP, FUEL PUMP, STARTER.

Post SB C72-00-0077A (Config-2 Improved Oil Pump Configuration)
(6) Install the oil pump (1) on the MGB as follows:
(a) Install the oil pump (1) on the three adapter captive screws.
(b) Apply Antigalling Compound (Material No.P06-054) on the threads of the four oil pump (1) captive bolts and the bolts (4).
NOTE: For the new or refurbished hardware with baked-on lubricant, do not do the wet application.
(c) Put (d) Install the strainer (5) in the oil pump (1) as follows:

2 Install the packing (6) in the groove in the strainer (5).
3 Install the EIPC 79-21-01-01-340 STRAINER (5) in the oil pump (1).
(e) Inspect the current seal plate (2) for possibility to use it again as follows:
1 No raised material on the metal surface.
2 Rubber that is not bonded to the seal plate is not permitted.
3 Rubber that is missing is not permitted.
4 Inspect the rubber seal for separation from the seal plate.
5 Rubber that is cut or damaged is not permitted.
6 Make sure the rubber material is above the metal surface.
(f) Put the EIPC 79-21-01-01-050 SEAL PLATE (2) on the rear face of the oil pump (1).
(g) Adjust the adapter handle, the hand knob and the two lift hand wheels to align the oil pump (1) with the MGB.
(h) Lift the oil pump:
CAUTION:
BEFORE YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL THE OIL PUMP, MAKE SURE THAT THE TUBE (LR30) IS PROTECTED WITH PADS OR CLOTH.
IF THE TUBE IS NOT PROTECTED, DAMAGE TO IT CAN OCCUR.
CAUTION:
HOLD THE WEIGHT OF THE OIL PUMP DURING THE INSTALLATION. DO NOT LET THE OIL PUMP HANG ON THE DOWEL PINS OR ON THE DRIVE SHAFT WITHOUT THE BOLTS ENGAGED. IF YOU DO, THE OIL PUMP CAN DISENGAGE THE GEARBOX AND DROP. THE OIL PUMP WEIGHT IS 66 LBS (30 KGS). IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THIS CAUTION, DAMAGE TO THE OIL PUMP AND ENGINE CAN OCCUR.
1 Lift the oil pump (1) to the MGB with the PWA106340 JACK, HYDRAULIC - VFG, EDP, FUEL PUMP, STARTER. (i) Align the oil pump (1) dowel pins with the MGB.
(j) Move the oil pump (1) rearward and engage the driveshaft with the gearbox splines.
(k) Install the oil pump (1) on the MGB with the four washers (3) and the bolts (4) fingertight.
(l) Install the oil pump (1) on the MGB with the four captive bolts.
(m) TORQUE the four captive bolts and the four bolts (4) to between 230 and 200 lbf.in (2.60 and 2.26 m.daN )
in an equal and opposite pattern until the same torque indication holds. (n) Loosen the three adapter captive screws and remove the PWA211314 ADAPTER, INSTALLATION from the oil pump (1).
(o) Lower the PWA106340 JACK, HYDRAULIC - VFG, EDP, FUEL PUMP, STARTER.
(p) Loosen the four captive screws and remove the PWA211314 ADAPTER, INSTALLATION from the base.
(q) Remove the three captive screws.
(r) Remove the base from the PWA106340 JACK, HYDRAULIC - VFG, EDP, FUEL PUMP, STARTER.

(7) Install the tube (LR30) (15) as follows:

(a) Examine the EIPC 79-21-01-01-060 FACE SEAL (14) for serviceability as follows: 1 Rubber that is not bonded to the metal is not permitted.
2 Rubber that is not there is not permitted.

4 Rubber that is not above the metal is not permitted.
(b) Apply Antigalling Compound (Material No.P06-054) on the threads of the three bolts (16).
NOTE: For the new or refurbished hardware with baked-on lubricant, do not do the wet application.
(c) Connect the tube (LR30) (15) and the bracket (17) to the oil pump (1) with the face seal (14) and the three bolts (16) fingertight. (d) TORQUE the three bolts (16), the two bolts (20) and the bolt (21) to between 100 and 90 lbf.in (1.13 and 1.02 m.daN )
in small increments and until the same torque indication holds. (8) Install the tube (LR35) (32) as follows:
(a) Examine the EIPC 79-21-01-01-070 FACE SEAL (31) and EIPC 72-62-01-01-090 FACE SEAL (34) for serviceability as follows:

(b) Apply Antigalling Compound (Material No.P06-054) on the threads of the three bolts (16) and the two bolts (35).

(c) Connect the tube (LR35) (32) to the oil pump (1) with the face seal (31) and the three bolts (16) fingertight. (d) Connect the tube (LR35) (32) to the angle gearbox with the face seal (34), the bracket (33) and the two bolts (35).
(e) TORQUE the three bolts (16) and the two bolts (35) to between 100 and 90 lbf.in (1.13 and 1.02 m.daN )
in small increments and until the same torque indication holds. (9) Install the tubes (LB01) (51) and (LP03) (55) as follows:
(a) Examine the EIPC 72-61-01-01-060 FACE SEAL (52), EIPC 79-23-49-01-190 FACE SEAL (48) and the two EIPC 79-21-01-01-090 FACE SEALS (47) for serviceability as follows:

(c) Install the tube (LB01) (51) and the face seal (52) on the MGB with the two bolts (50) fingertight. (d) Install the tube (LP03) (55), bracket (44) and face seal (47) on the oil pump (1) with the three bolts (45) fingertight.
(e) Install the tube (LB01) (51) and the face seal (48) on the tube (LB02) and bracket (54) with the three bolts (46) and the nut (53) fingertight.
(f) Install the tube (LP03) (55) and face seal (47) on the tube (LP02) and bracket (54) with the three bolts (46) and the nut (53) fingertight.
(g) Install the bolt (49) on the clamp that attaches the tube (LB01) (51) to the oil pump (1).
(h) TORQUE the bolt (49) to between 44 and 38 lbf.in (0.50 and 0.43 m.daN )
. (i) TORQUE the three bolts (45), the six bolts (46) and the two bolts (50) to between 100 and 90 lbf.in (1.13 and 1.02 m.daN )
in small increments and until the same torque indication holds. (10) Install the tube (LR01) (67) as follows:
(a) Examine the two EIPC 79-21-01-01-090 FACE SEALS (47) for serviceability as follows:

(c) Install the tube (LR01) (67), bracket (66) and face seal (47) to the oil pump (1) with the three bolts (16) fingertight. (d) Install the tube (LR01) (67) and the face seal (47) on the tube (LR02) with the three bolts (46) and nuts (65).
(e) TORQUE the three bolts (16) and nuts (65) to between 100 and 90 lbf.in (1.13 and 1.02 m.daN )
in small increments and until the same torque indication holds. (11) Install the tube (LR21) (77) as follows:
(a) Apply Antigalling Compound (Material No.P06-054) on the threads of the three bolts (16) and the three bolts (80).
NOTE: For the new or refurbished hardware with baked-on lubricant, do not do the wet application.
(b) Examine the two EIPC 79-21-01-01-080 FACE SEALS (79) for serviceability as follows: 1 Rubber that is not bonded to the metal is not permitted.

(c) Install the tube (LR21) (77) and the face seal (79) on the tube (LR20) with the three bolts (80) fingertight.
(d) Install the tube (LR21) (77), bracket (78) and face seal (79) on the oil pump (1) with the three bolts (16).
(e) TORQUE the three bolts (16) and the three bolts (80) to between 100 and 90 lbf.in (1.13 and 1.02 m.daN )
in small increments and until the same torque indication holds. (12) Install the 2.5 drain tube (DR65) (Ref. AMM TASK 71-71-49-400-801).
(13) Install the wiring harnesses (W03) and (W04), and connect the (WC10) wiring harness connector (P35) to the actuator receptacle (J35) as follows:
(a) Examine, align and engage the connector.
(b) Push lightly inward on the connector while tightening the coupling ring.
(c) Use the PLIERS - JAWED, SOFT and tighten the connector against the receptacle.
(d) While you tighten, push the connector in and from side to side.
(e) Make sure that you can feel the ratchet feature.
(f) Tighten the connector until the PLIERS - JAWED, SOFT slip on the connector ring.
(g) Attach the wiring harnesses (W03) and (W04) to the spring clips.
(h) Install the bolt (90) and the nut (91) on the clamp that attaches the wiring harnesses (W03) and (W04).
(i) TORQUE the bolt (90) to between 44 and 38 lbf.in (0.50 and 0.43 m.daN )
. (14) Examine the chip collectors for proper installation.
(15) Fill the engine with oil (Ref. AMM TASK 79-00-00-610-801).
(16) Examine the assembly for unwanted objects, damage and correct assembly.
