A. On the overhead panel 40VU, make sure that:
WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT THE PUMPS CAN NOT OPERATE AUTOMATICALLY. THIS IS TO PREVENT INJURY TO PERSONS WHEN YOU ENERGIZE THE AIRCRAFT ELECTRICAL CIRCUITS.
   (1) The HYD/BLUE/ELEC PUMP pushbutton switch is released.
   (2) The HYD/YELLOW/ELEC PUMP pushbutton switch is pushed.

   (1) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU:
     (a) Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off (the pushbutton switch is pushed in).
   (2) Do the EIS start procedure (ECAM display units only). (Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-001).

F. On the accessory gearbox of the engine 1(2):
   (1) Disconnect the two connectors (channel A and channel B) from the N2 speed sensor. For the N2 speed sensor location, (Ref. AMM TASK 77-11-20-000-002)

G. Install a Low Frequency Generator:
WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT THE LOW FREQUENCY GENERATOR AND ITS WIRING ARE NOT IN THE DEPLOYMENT RANGE OF THE THRUST REVERSERS. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THIS INSTRUCTION, INJURY TO PERSONNEL AND/OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT CAN OCCUR.
   (1) Connect a GENERATOR - LOW FREQUENCY, (sinusoidal waveform, output voltage 10/15 volts) across the terminals 2(+) and 1(-).
4. Procedure

WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT THE TRAVEL RANGE OF THE THRUST REVERSER IS CLEAR BEFORE YOU PRESSURIZE THE HYDRAULIC SYSTEM. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THESE INSTRUCTIONS, INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT CAN OCCUR.
A. Do this test:

1.On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU:
  • Release the HYD/LEAK MEASUREMENT VALVES/B/G/Y pushbutton switches.
  • The OFF legends of these pushbutton switches come on.
2.On the flight control panel 23VU:
  • Push the FLT CTL/SEC 1 pushbutton switch.
  • The OFF legend of this pushbutton switch goes off.
3.On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU:
  • Release the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch.
  • The ON legend of this pushbutton switch comes on.
4.On the engine 1(2):
  • Supply a frequency of 6000Hz with the low frequency generator.
On the upper ECAM display unit:
  • The N1 and N2 indications for the engine 1(2) must be approximately:
    . N1 = 20 percent
    . N2 = 60 percent
5. FOR [1000EM1]
Pressurize the Green hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-863-001).
On the lower ECAM display unit, on the HYD page:
  • The pressure indication must be 3000 psi (206.84 bar) for the Green system (engine 1).
6. FOR [1000EM2]
Pressurize the Yellow hydraulic system for the engine 2 (Ref. AMM TASK 29-24-00-863-001).
On the lower ECAM display unit, on the HYD page:
  • The pressure indication must be 3000 psi (206.84 bar) for the Yellow system (engine 2).
7.Set the thrust reverser control lever of the engine 1(2) to the reverse idle position (detent).
On the upper ECAM display unit:
  • The amber REV indication comes into view in the N1 indication of the engine 1(2) during the deployment.
  • The REV indication changes to green when the blocker doors are deployed and locked.
8.Set the throttle control lever of the engine 1(2) to the idle stop position (the zero mark on the graduated sector).
On the upper ECAM display unit:
  • The REV indication in the N1 indication of the engine 1(2) changes to amber during the stowage of the blocker doors.
  • The REV indication goes out of view when the blocker doors are stowed and locked.
9.On the low frequency generator:
  • Decrease the frequency to zero.
On the upper ECAM display unit:
  • The N1 and N2 indications of the engine 1(2) go back to zero.
10. FOR [1000EM1]
Depressurize the Green hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-864-001),
On the lower ECAM display unit, on the HYD page:
  • The pressure indication goes back to zero for:
    . the Green system (engine 1),
11. FOR [1000EM2]
Depressurize the Yellow hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-24-00-864-001).
On the lower ECAM display unit, on the HYD page:
  • The pressure indication goes back to zero for:
    . the Yellow system (engine 2).
12.On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU:
  • Push the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch.
  • The ON legend of this pushbutton switch goes off.
  • Push the HYD/LEAK MEASUREMENT VALVES/B/G/Y pushbutton switches.
  • The OFF legends of these pushbutton switches go off.
13.On the flight control panel 23VU:
  • Release the FLT CTL/SEC 1 pushbutton switch.
  • The OFF legend of this pushbutton switch comes on.

A. On the accessory gearbox of the engine 1(2):
   (1) Disconnect the low frequency generator.

B. Connect the two connectors to the N2 speed sensor (channel A and channel B). Tighten them with your hand plus one eight of a turn with the PLIERS - NOSE, SOFT, LONG.
