WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT:
  • THE TRAVEL RANGES OF THE THRUST REVERSERS OF ENGINE 1 (2) ARE CLEAR OF ALL TOOLS, EQUIPMENT AND PERSONS
  • THE THRUST REVERSER COWLS ARE CLOSED AND LATCHED
  • THE THROTTLE CONTROL LEVER OF ENGINE 1 (2) IS IN THE IDLE POSITION (ZERO ON THE SCALE).

D. Pressurize hydraulic system:
   (1) FOR [1000EM1] (ENGINE-1)
Pressurize the Green hydraulic system with the Yellow hydraulic system through the PTU (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-863-001).
On the lower display unit of the ECAM system:
  • Make sure that the HYD page shows that the pressure of the Green system is 3000 PSI.
   (2) FOR [1000EM2] (ENGINE-2)
Pressurize the auxiliary Yellow hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-24-00-863-001).
On the lower display unit of the ECAM system:
  • Make sure that the HYD page shows that the pressure of the Yellow system is 3000 psi (206.84 bar).

E. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU:
     (a) release the FADEC GND PWR 1 (2) pushbutton switch (on the pushbutton switch, the ON legend is on).
     (b) release the HYD/LEAK MEASUREMENT VALVES/B/G/Y pushbutton switches (on the pushbutton switch the OFF legend comes on)
   (2) On the flight control panel 23VU:
     (a) make sure that the SEC1 pushbutton switch is on (on the pusbutton switch the OFF legend is off).
   (3) On the left or right MCDU, get the SYSTEM REPORT/TEST ENG page (Ref. AMM TASK 31-32-00-860-012)
4. Procedure
Subtask 78-31-00-710-050-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
WARNING: YOU MUST USE THE LINE KEY ADJACENT TO THE "RETURN" INDICATION TO COMPLETE THE TEST. IF YOU COMPLETE THE TEST WITH THE "MCDU MENU" KEY, THE TEST WILL STAY IN OPERATION FOR ONE MINUTE WITH NO INDICATION TO MAINTENANCE PERSONNEL. IF A PERSON MOVES THE THROTTLE CONTROL LEVER IN THIS ONE MINUTE, UNWANTED MOVEMENT OF THE THRUST REVERSER CAN OCCUR.
A. Do this test:
F Thrust Reverser Test ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
ACTION
RESULT
1.Push the line key adjacent to the FADEC 1 A (2 A) indication to get the FADEC 1 A (2 A) program.
- The ECU 1(2) CHAN A page comes into view.
2.Push the line key adjacent to the T/R TEST indication.
- The THRUST REVERSER TEST ENGINE 1(2) CHANNEL A menu comes into view.
3.Push the line key adjacent to the START TEST indication.
- The CONFIRM START OF TEST indication comes into view.
4.Push the line key adjacent to the CONFIRM START OF TEST indication.
NOTE: As soon this key is pushed, you must move the throttle control lever in the 35 subsequent seconds.

5.Put the throttle control lever in the MAX REVERSE position.
- The thrust reversers of the engine 1 (2) operate.
On the upper display unit of the ECAM system:
  • The REV indication in the N1 indicator of the engine 1 (2) must show in amber when the thrust reversers operate.
  • It must become green when the thrust reversers are deployed and locked.
6.When the SET THROTTLE LEVER OF TEST ENGINE TO FWD IDLE indication shows, put the throttle control lever in the IDLE position (zero on the scale).
  • The thrust reversers of the engine 1 (2) stow.
    On the upper display unit of the ECAM system:
  • The REV indication must be amber when the thrust reversers operate.
  • It must go out of view when the thrust reversers are stowed and locked.
    On the MCDU:
  • TEST OK indication comes into view.
7.Push the line key adjacent to the START RESTOW TEST indication and do the test again from step 4. to step 6.

8.Push the line key adjacent to the RETURN indication until the SYSTEM REPORT/TEST ENG comes in view.

9.Do the procedure again for the channel B of the FADEC 1(2).

10.On the MCDU, push the line select key adjacent to the RETURN indication until the CFDS menu page comes into view.

11.Stop the MCDU.

A. Depressurize Hydraulic System:
   (1) FOR [1000EM1] (ENGINE-1)
Depressurize the Green and Yellow hydraulic systems (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-864-001).
   (2) FOR [1000EM2] (ENGINE-2)
Depressurize the auxiliary Yellow hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-24-00-864-001).

B. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
   (1) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU:
     (a) push the FADEC GND PWR 1 (2) pushbutton switch. On the pushbutton switch, the ON legend goes off.
     (b) push the HYD/LEAK MESUREMENT VALVES/B/G/Y pushbutton switch . On the pushbutton switch the OFF legend goes off
   (2) Do the EIS stop procedure: (Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-002)

C. De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
