(1) Make sure that you did the deactivation of the thrust reverser system for maintenance (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-040-805). D. Get Access

Subtask 75-31-01-420-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL A. Installation of the Low Pressure Compressor (LPC) Stator Vane Actuator (SVA)
(1) Removal of the protection covers.
(2) Install the LPC SVA (1) as follows:
Low Pressure Compressor (LPC) Stator Vane Actuator (SVA) (Harnesses (W03) and (W04) and Tubes (CP02), (CR02) Installation) ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
(a) Make sure that the actuator (1) piston is retracted.
(b) Install the actuator (1) on the compressor intermediate case (CIC) bulkhead with the four captive bolts (5) and (2).
(c) TORQUE the two captive bolts (5) to between 60 and 50 lbf.in (0.68 and 0.57 m.daN )
.
(d) TORQUE the two captive bolts (2) equally and in small increments to between 115 and 100 lbf.in (1.30 and 1.13 m.daN )
.
(e) Apply Antigalling Compound (Material No.P06-054) to the bolt (4).
(g) TORQUE the nut (3) to between 30 and 26 lbf.in (0.34 and 0.29 m.daN )
.
(3) Connect the servo fuel tubes (CR02) and (CP02) to the actuator (1) as follows:

(b) TORQUE the fuel tube (CR02) B-nut to between 375 and 340 lbf.in (4.24 and 3.84 m.daN )

(c) TORQUE the fuel tube (CP02) B-nut to between 225 and 200 lbf.in (2.54 and 2.26 m.daN )
.
(4) Connect the drain tube (DR01) to the actuator (1) as follows:

(b) TORQUE the B-nut to between 75 and 65 lbf.in (0.85 and 0.73 m.daN )

(c) Remove the tape that was placed on the drain tube to prevent the B-nut from slipping when the actuator (1) was removed.
(5) Connect the wiring harness (W03) and (W04) connectors (P18) and (P19) to the actuator receptacles (J18) and (J19) as follows:

(a) Examine, align and engage the connector.
(b) Push lightly inward on the connector while you tighten the coupling ring.
(c) Use the PLIERS - JAWED, SOFT and tighten the connector against the receptacle.
(d) Make sure that you can feel the ratchet feature.
(e) While you tighten, push the connector in and from side to side.
(f) Tighten the connector until the PLIERS - JAWED, SOFT slip on the connector ring.

(6) Install the insulation blanket (2) on the actuator (1).

(7) Install the insulation blanket (2) on the actuator (1).

(8) Install the fan exit liner segment (Ref. AMM TASK 72-21-08-400-801).
(9) Examine the assembly for unwanted objects, damage and correct assembly.
(10) Make sure that you install all the necessary COVER - PROTECTION to prevent engine damage.
5. Close-up(1) Removal of the protection covers.
CAUTION:
REMOVE THE PROTECTION COVERS FROM THE OPENINGS AS NECESSARY TO PREVENT ENGINE DAMAGE.
(a) Make sure that you remove all the necessary COVER - PROTECTION to prevent damage to the engine. (2) Install the LPC SVA (1) as follows:
Low Pressure Compressor (LPC) Stator Vane Actuator (SVA) (Harnesses (W03) and (W04) and Tubes (CP02), (CR02) Installation) ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (b) Install the actuator (1) on the compressor intermediate case (CIC) bulkhead with the four captive bolts (5) and (2).
(c) TORQUE the two captive bolts (5) to between 60 and 50 lbf.in (0.68 and 0.57 m.daN )
. (d) TORQUE the two captive bolts (2) equally and in small increments to between 115 and 100 lbf.in (1.30 and 1.13 m.daN )
. (e) Apply Antigalling Compound (Material No.P06-054) to the bolt (4).
NOTE: For new or refurbished bolts or nuts with baked-on lubricant, do not do the wet application.
(f) Attach the LPC SVA link to the actuator (1) with the bolt (4) and nut (3). (g) TORQUE the nut (3) to between 30 and 26 lbf.in (0.34 and 0.29 m.daN )
. (3) Connect the servo fuel tubes (CR02) and (CP02) to the actuator (1) as follows:

USE A SECOND WRENCH TO HOLD THE MATING PARTS WHEN YOU LOOSEN OR TIGHTEN THE TUBE OR HOSE NUTS. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THIS CAUTION, YOU CAN TWIST OR CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE TUBES OR HOSES.
(a) Connect the tubes (CR02) and (CP02) to the actuator (1). (b) TORQUE the fuel tube (CR02) B-nut to between 375 and 340 lbf.in (4.24 and 3.84 m.daN )
. (c) TORQUE the fuel tube (CP02) B-nut to between 225 and 200 lbf.in (2.54 and 2.26 m.daN )
. (4) Connect the drain tube (DR01) to the actuator (1) as follows:

(3) Do the test N°15 - Operation Test (Dry Motor) of the Engine Actuators (Ref. AMM TASK 73-21-00-710-809).
(1) Do the test N°3 - Idle power test (Ref. AMM TASK 71-00-00-720-811).
(2) Do the test N°6 - EEC - Idle test (Ref. AMM TASK 73-21-00-710-807).
(3) Do the test N°15 - Operation Test (Dry Motor) of the Engine Actuators (Ref. AMM TASK 73-21-00-710-809).
