B. Get Access
(1) Make sure that the fan cowl doors are open (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-802):

C. Deactivation of the Thrust Reverser for Maintenance
Subtask 72-21-08-010-053-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL WARNING:
YOU MUST DEACTIVATE THE THRUST REVERSER BEFORE YOU DO WORK ON OR AROUND IT. IF YOU DO NOT, THE THRUST REVERSER CAN OPERATE ACCIDENTALLY AND CAUSE AN INJURY AND/OR DAMAGE.
(1) Make sure that you did the deactivation of the thrust reverser system for maintenance (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-040-805). D. Get Access
(1) Make sure that the thrust reverser cowl-doors are open (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-00-010-802):

4. Procedure(1) Make sure that the thrust reverser cowl-doors are open (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-00-010-802):

CAUTION:
WIPE CLEAN ALL PARTS AND TOOLS AS NECESSARY TO REMOVE UNWANTED DEBRIS AND PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE.
Subtask 72-21-08-420-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL A. Installation of the Fan Exit Liner Segments
(2) Install the liner segment (1) on the Compressor Intermediate Case (CIC) as follows:
(a) Apply Antigalling Compound (Material No.P06-054) to the threads of the 11 screws (2).
(c) TORQUE the 11 screws (2) to between 30 and 26 lbf.in (0.34 and 0.29 m.daN )
with the Bit.
(3) Install the two liner segments (12) and two duct segments (13) on the CIC as follows:
(a) Apply Antigalling Compound (Material No.P06-054) to the threads of the 28 screws (2).
(c) Install the two duct segments (13) with the 14 screws (2).
(d) TORQUE the 28 screws (2) to between 30 and 26 lbf.in (0.34 and 0.29 m.daN )
with the Bit.
(4) Install the two liner segments (12) and two duct segments (13) on the CIC as follows:
(a) Apply Antigalling Compound (Material No.P06-054) to the threads of the 28 screws (2).
(c) Install the two duct segments (13) with the 14 screws (2).
(d) TORQUE the 28 screws (2) to between 30 and 26 lbf.in (0.34 and 0.29 m.daN )
with the Bit.
(5) Install the liner segment (25) and duct segments (13) to the CIC and bifurcation fairing as follows:
(a) Apply Antigalling Compound (Material No.P06-054) to the threads of the 11 screws (2).
(c) Apply Antigalling Compound (Material No.P06-054) to the threads of the six screws (24).
(e) Install the duct segment (13) with the seven screws (2) fingertight.
(f) TORQUE the six screws (24) to between 30 and 26 lbf.in (0.34 and 0.29 m.daN )
with the Bit.
(g) TORQUE the 11 screws (2) to between 30 and 26 lbf.in (0.34 and 0.29 m.daN )
with the Bit.
(6) Examine the assembly for unwanted objects, damage and correct assembly.
5. Close-upCAUTION:
USE THE CORRECT NASM 14191 TORQ-SET DRIVE BIT. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THIS INSTRUCTION, DAMAGE TO THE SCREWS CAN OCCUR.
(1) Make sure that you remove COVER - PROTECTION as necessary to prevent damage to the engine. (2) Install the liner segment (1) on the Compressor Intermediate Case (CIC) as follows:
(a) Apply Antigalling Compound (Material No.P06-054) to the threads of the 11 screws (2).
NOTE: For new or refurbished bolts or nuts with baked on lubricant, do not do the wet application.
(b) Install the liner segment (1) with the 11 screws (2). (c) TORQUE the 11 screws (2) to between 30 and 26 lbf.in (0.34 and 0.29 m.daN )
with the Bit. (3) Install the two liner segments (12) and two duct segments (13) on the CIC as follows:
(a) Apply Antigalling Compound (Material No.P06-054) to the threads of the 28 screws (2).
NOTE: For new or refurbished bolts or nuts with baked on lubricant, do not do the wet application.
(b) Install the two liner segments (12) with the 14 screws (2) fingertight. (c) Install the two duct segments (13) with the 14 screws (2).
(d) TORQUE the 28 screws (2) to between 30 and 26 lbf.in (0.34 and 0.29 m.daN )
with the Bit. (4) Install the two liner segments (12) and two duct segments (13) on the CIC as follows:
(a) Apply Antigalling Compound (Material No.P06-054) to the threads of the 28 screws (2).
NOTE: For new or refurbished bolts or nuts with baked on lubricant, do not do the wet application.
(b) Install the two liner segments (12) with the 14 screws (2) fingertight. (c) Install the two duct segments (13) with the 14 screws (2).
(d) TORQUE the 28 screws (2) to between 30 and 26 lbf.in (0.34 and 0.29 m.daN )
with the Bit. (5) Install the liner segment (25) and duct segments (13) to the CIC and bifurcation fairing as follows:
(a) Apply Antigalling Compound (Material No.P06-054) to the threads of the 11 screws (2).
NOTE: For new or refurbished bolts or nuts with baked on lubricant, do not do the wet application.
(b) Install the liner segment (25) with the four screws (2) fingertight. (c) Apply Antigalling Compound (Material No.P06-054) to the threads of the six screws (24).
NOTE: For new or refurbished bolts or nuts with baked on lubricant, do not do the wet application
(d) Install the six screws (24) to the bifurcation fairing and the liner segment (25) fingertight. (e) Install the duct segment (13) with the seven screws (2) fingertight.
(f) TORQUE the six screws (24) to between 30 and 26 lbf.in (0.34 and 0.29 m.daN )
with the Bit. (g) TORQUE the 11 screws (2) to between 30 and 26 lbf.in (0.34 and 0.29 m.daN )
with the Bit. (6) Examine the assembly for unwanted objects, damage and correct assembly.

A. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Close the thrust reverser cowl-doors (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-00-410-802):
