A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU, make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to start the engine.
   (2) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU, make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off. Make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).

4. Procedure
Subtask 75-21-10-420-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Installation of the HPTACC
   (1) Install the HPTACC valve on the HPC front case boss as follows:
     (a) Clean the component interface and/or the adjacent area.
     (b) Do a visual inspection of the component interface and/or the adjacent area.

     (c) Remove the blanking plugs from:
  • The 9th-stage outlet port of the HPTACC valve (10)
  • The 9th-stage air outlet elbow (120)
     (d) Put the new AIPC 75-21-10-01-060 GASKET (100) in position on the 9th-stage outlet port of the HPTACC valve (10) and the 9th-stage air-outlet elbow (120).
     (e) Install the bolts (110) to assemble the 9th-stage outlet port of the HPTACC valve (10) and the 9th-stage air outlet elbow (120).
     (f) TORQUE the bolts (110) to between 70 and 55 lbf.in (0.79 and 0.62 m.daN )

POST SB 72-0846

     (g) Remove the PLUG - BLANKING from:
  • The High-Pressure Turbine Clearance Control (HPTCC) manifold outlet-port of the HPTACC valve (10)
  • The HPTCC manifold outlet (2480M87G01)
     (h) Put the new
AIPC 75-21-10-01-060 GASKET (100) in position on the HPTCC manifold outlet-port of the HPTACC valve (10) and the HPTCC manifold (2480M87G01).
     (i) Install the bolts (110) to assemble the HPTCC manifold outlet-port of the HPTACC valve (10) and the HPTCC manifold outlet (2480M87G01).
     (j) TORQUE the bolts (110) to between 70 and 55 lbf.in (0.79 and 0.62 m.daN )

     (k) Remove the blanking plug from the HPC front case boss (20) and the 4th-stage inlet of the HPTACC (10).
     (l) Put the new
AIPC 75-21-10-01-020 GASKET (30) in position on the HPC front case boss (20).
     (m) Put the HPTACC valve (10) in position on the HPC front case boss (20) and the bracket.
     (n) Apply graphite grease (Material No.
CP2101) on the bolts (40), the threads and the friction surfaces.
     (o) Install the bolts (40) on the 4th-stage inlet of the HPTACC valve (10) and the HPC front case boss (20).
     (p) Install the bolts (50) and (60) that attach the HPTACC valve (10) to the bracket.
     (q) Lubricate the threads of the bolts (40) with graphite grease (Material No.CP2101) :
     (r) TORQUE the bolts (50) and (60) to between 70 and 55 lbf.in (0.79 and 0.62 m.daN ) T.
   (2) Install the 9th-stage air-inlet tube on the HPTACC valve as follows:
     (a) Remove the blanking plugs from the inlet of the 9th-stage port of the HPTACC valve (10) and the outlet of the 9th-stage air-tube (70).
     (b) Put the new
AIPC 75-21-10-01-060 GASKET (90) in position on the inlet of the 9th-stage port of the HPTACC valve (10) and the 9th-stage air tube (70).
     (c) Install the bolts (80) manually to safety the inlet of the 9th-stage port of the HPTACC valve (10) and the 9th-stage air tube (70).
   (3) Install the fuel manifold to the HPTACC valve as follows:
     (a) Remove the blanking plugs from the inlet port of the HPTACC valve (10) and the fuel manifold (290).
     (b) Put the new
AIPC 75-21-10-01-150 GASKET (280) in position on the inlet port of the HPTACC valve (10) and the fuel manifold (290).
     (c) Tighten the bolts (300) and (310) manually to assemble the fuel manifold (290) and the HPTACC valve (10).
   (4) Install the 4th/9th stage air-outlet tube on the HPTACC valve as follows:

     (a) Remove the blanking plugs from the 4th-stage outlet ports of the HPTACC valve (10) and the outlet port of the 9th-stage elbow (120).
     (b) Remove the blanking plugs from the 4th-stage outlet ports of the HPTACC valve (10) and the outlet port of the 9th-stage elbow (140).
     (c) Put the new
AIPC 75-21-10-01-100 ORIFICE PLATE (150) between two AIPC 75-21-10-01-090 GASKETS (155). Then, put this assembly between the outlet side of the 9th stage of the air outlet elbow (120) and the 4th/9th-stage air-outlet tube (140).
     (d) Install the bolts (160) and the nuts (130) manually.
     (e) Install the new
AIPC 75-21-10-01-120 SEAL RING (170) to the 4th-stage outlet of the HPTACC (10) and the 4th/9th stage air-outlet tube (140).
     (f) Safety the 4th-stage outlet of the HPTACC (10) and the 4th/9th stage air-outlet tube (140) with the V-band clamp (190).
     (g) Tighten the nut (180) of the V-band clamp (190) manually.

   (5) Install the HPTCC manifold outlet-tube on the HPTACC valve as follows:
     (a) Install the new
AIPC 75-21-10-01-120 SEAL RING (170) to the 4th-stage outlet of the HPTACC (10) and the HPTCC manifold outlet-tube (2480M87G01).
     (b) Attach the 4th-stage outlet of the HPTACC (10) and the HPTCC Manifold outlet-tube (2480M87G01) with the V-band clamp (190).
     (c) Tighten the nut (180) of the V-band clamp (190) manually.

   (6) Tighten the bolts as follows:
     (a) TORQUE the bolts (300) and (310) of the fuel manifold (290) to between 70 and 55 lbf.in (0.79 and 0.62 m.daN )

     (b) TORQUE the nut (180) of the V-band clamp (190) to between 85 and 70 lbf.in (0.96 and 0.79 m.daN )

   (7) Connect the electrical connectors as follows:
     (a) Remove the blanking caps from the electrical connectors, Channel A (260) and Channel B (250).
     (b) Remove the blanking caps from the electrical connectors, Channel A (270) and Channel B (240) of the HPTACC valve (10).
     (c) Connect the electrical connectors:
  • Channel A (260) and Channel B (250) to electrical connectors
  • Channel A (270) and Channel B (240) of the HPTACC valve (10)
       1 Tighten the connectors manually plus one-eighth of a turn. If necessary, use the PLIERS - JAWED, SOFT
