WARNING: YOU MUST DEACTIVATE THE THRUST REVERSER BEFORE YOU DO WORK ON OR AROUND IT. IF YOU DO NOT, THE THRUST REVERSER CAN OPERATE ACCIDENTALLY AND CAUSE AN INJURY AND/OR DAMAGE.
   (1) Make sure that you did the deactivation of the thrust reverser system for maintenance (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-040-805).

4. Procedure
Subtask 73-11-02-420-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Installation of Fuel Manifold
CAUTION: WIPE CLEAN ALL PARTS AND TOOLS AS NECESSARY TO REMOVE UNWANTED DEBRIS AND PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE.
CAUTION: USE A SECOND WRENCH TO HOLD THE MATING PARTS WHEN YOU LOOSEN OR TIGHTEN THE TUBE OR HOSE NUTS. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THIS CAUTION, YOU CAN TWIST OR CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE TUBES OR HOSES.
CAUTION: REMOVE THE PROTECTION COVERS FROM THE OPENINGS AS NECESSARY TO PREVENT ENGINE DAMAGE.
   (1) Make sure that you remove all the necessary COVER - PROTECTION to prevent damage to the engine.
   (2) Install the adapters (1), (2) and (5) to the fuel manifold (4) as follows:
F Fuel Manifold ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
     (a) Apply the P03-001lubricant, aircraft turbine engine (synthetic base) to the new EIPC 73-11-02-01-240 PACKING (3), new EIPC 73-11-02-01-200 PACKING (6), new EIPC 73-11-02-01-220 PACKING (7) and new EIPC 73-11-02-01-070 PACKING (8) and the adapters (1), (2) and (5).
     (b) Install the packings (3), (6) and (7) to the adapters (1), (2) and (5).
     (c) Install the adapter (1) to the fuel manifold (4).
     (d) TORQUE the adapter (1) to between 275 and 250 lbf.in (3.11 and 2.83 m.daN )
T.
     (e) Install the adapter (2) to the fuel manifold (4).
     (f) TORQUE the adapter (2) to between 425 and 375 lbf.in (4.80 and 4.24 m.daN )
T.
     (g) Install the adapter (5) to the fuel manifold (4).
     (h) TORQUE the adapter (5) to between 120 and 110 lbf.in (1.36 and 1.24 m.daN )
T.
     (i) Install the packing (8) to the fuel manifold (4).
   (3) Install the fuel manifold (4) to the main gearbox as follows:
F Fuel Manifold ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
     (a) Apply the P03-001lubricant, aircraft turbine engine (synthetic base) to the threads of the five nuts (17).
     (b) Align and install the fuel manifold (4) with the five nuts (17) and the five washers (18).
     (c) TORQUE the five nuts (17) to between 300 and 270 lbf.in (3.39 and 3.05 m.daN ) T.
   (4) Apply the P06-054compound, paste, anti-seize to the threads of the six bolts (20).
     (a) For the new or the refurbished bolts or the nuts with the baked-on lubricant, do not do the wet application.
   (5) Connect the tube (FL01) and the new
EIPC 73-11-02-01-080 FACE SEAL (19) to the fuel manifold (4) with the three bolts (20).
   (6) TORQUE the three bolts (20) to between 70 and 60 lbf.in (0.79 and 0.68 m.daN )
T in small increments and until the same torque indication holds.
   (7) Connect the tube (FH02) and the new
EIPC 73-11-02-01-080 FACE SEAL (19) to the fuel manifold (4) with the three bolts (20).
   (8) TORQUE the three bolts (20) to between 70 and 60 lbf.in (0.79 and 0.68 m.daN )
T in small increments and until the same torque indication holds.
   (9) Install the bracket (31) on the fuel manifold (4) with the four bolts (32).
F Fuel Manifold ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
   (10) Install the adapter (30) to the fuel manifold (4).
   (11) TORQUE the four bolts (32) to between 70 and 60 lbf.in (0.79 and 0.68 m.daN ) T.
   (12) TORQUE the adapter (30) to between 75 and 65 lbf.in (0.85 and 0.73 m.daN )
T.
   (13) Connection of the drain tube (DR41):
     (a) Connect the drain tube (DR41) to the fuel manifold (4).
     (b) TORQUE the drain tube (DR41) B-nut as follows:
       1 TORQUE the B-nut to between 75 and 65 lbf.in (0.85 and 0.73 m.daN )
T.
       2 Loosen the B-nut to zero.
       3 TORQUE the B-nut again to between 75 and 65 lbf.in (0.85 and 0.73 m.daN )
T.
         a Do not loosen the B-nut.
       4 TORQUE the B-nut again to between 75 and 65 lbf.in (0.85 and 0.73 m.daN )
T.
   (14) Connection of the tube (FD04):
     (a) Connect the tube (FD04) to the fuel manifold (4).
     (b) TORQUE the tube (FD04) B-nut to between 225 and 220 lbf.in (2.54 and 2.49 m.daN )
T.
   (15) Install the manifold (CP01) (42) on the fuel manifold (4) and on the tube (CP04) as follows:
     (a) Connect the manifold (42) to the tube (CP04).

NOTE: The two bolts go through the bracket and the two manifolds to the thread into the manifold bracket.
     (h) Apply the P06-054compound, paste, anti-seize to the threads of the two bolts (56).
       1 For the new or the refurbished bolts or the nuts with the baked-on lubricant, do not do the wet application.
     (i) Install the two bolts (56) on the two clamps (72), the manifold (41) and the manifold (42) fingertight.
     (j) Torque the manifold (41) B-nut connected to the fuel manifold (4) as follows:
F Fuel Manifold ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
       1 TORQUE the B-nut to between 750 and 675 lbf.in (8.48 and 7.63 m.daN ) T.
       2 Loosen the B-nut to zero.
       3 TORQUE the B-nut again to between 750 and 675 lbf.in (8.48 and 7.63 m.daN )
T.
         a Do not loosen the B-nut.
       4 TORQUE the B-nut again to between 750 and 675 lbf.in (8.48 and 7.63 m.daN )
T.
     (k) Torque the tube (CR04) B-nut as follows:

   (25) TORQUE the three bolts (20) to between 70 and 60 lbf.in (0.79 and 0.68 m.daN )
T in small increments and until the same torque indication holds.
   (26) Install the tube (FM01) (57) on the fuel manifold (4) and on the fuel flow transmitter as follows:

     (a) Connect the tube (57) to the fuel flow transmitter fingertight.
     (b) Apply the P06-054compound, paste, anti-seize to the threads of the three bolts (58).
       1 For the new or the refurbished bolts or the nuts with the baked-on lubricant, do not do the wet application.
     (c) Install the new EIPC 73-11-02-01-080 FACE SEAL (60), the tube (FM01) (57) and the bracket (59) on the fuel manifold (4) with the three bolts (58) finger-tight.
     (d) Apply the P06-054compound, paste, anti-seize to the threads of the three bolts (56).
       1 For the new or the refurbished bolts or the nuts with the baked-on lubricant, do not do the wet application.
     (e) Install the three bolts (56) to the three clamps (55), the bracket (61) and the tube (FM01) (57) fingertight.
     (f) TORQUE the three bolts (58) to between 70 and 60 lbf.in (0.79 and 0.68 m.daN )
T in small increments and until the same torque indication holds.
     (g) Torque the tube (57) B-nut as follows:
       1 TORQUE the B-nut to between 750 and 675 lbf.in (8.48 and 7.63 m.daN )
T.
       2 Loosen the B-nut to zero.
       3 TORQUE the B-nut again to between 750 and 675 lbf.in (8.48 and 7.63 m.daN )
T.
         a Do not loosen the B-nut.
       4 TORQUE the B-nut again to between 750 and 675 lbf.in (8.48 and 7.63 m.daN )
T.

     (i) Apply the P06-054compound, paste, anti-seize to the threads of the three bolts (56).
       1 For the new or the refurbished bolts or the nuts with the baked-on lubricant, do not do the wet application.
     (j) Install the three bolts (56) on the brackets (31) and (59).
     (k) TORQUE the three bolts (56) to between 44 and 38 lbf.in (0.50 and 0.43 m.daN )

   (27) Install the fuel filter housing (
Ref. AMM TASK 73-11-07-400-801).
   (28) Install the fuel filter element (Ref. AMM TASK 73-11-06-400-801).
   (29) Install the fuel filter differential pressure sensor (Ref. AMM TASK 73-34-21-400-801).
   (30) Install the Integrated Fuel Pump and Control (IFPC) (Ref. AMM TASK 73-11-01-400-801).
   (31) Examine the assembly for the foreign objects, damage and correct assembly.
