D. Deactivation of the Thrust Reverser System for Ground Maintenance
Subtask 73-11-06-010-053-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL WARNING:
YOU MUST DEACTIVATE THE THRUST REVERSER BEFORE YOU DO WORK ON OR AROUND IT. IF YOU DO NOT, THE THRUST REVERSER CAN OPERATE ACCIDENTALLY AND CAUSE AN INJURY AND/OR DAMAGE.
(1) Make sure that you did the deactivation of the thrust reverser system for ground maintenance (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-040-805). E. Get Access
(1) Make sure that the right thrust-reverser cowl-door is open (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-00-010-802):

4. Procedure(1) Make sure that the right thrust-reverser cowl-door is open (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-00-010-802):

CAUTION:
WIPE CLEAN ALL PARTS AND TOOLS AS NECESSARY TO REMOVE UNWANTED DEBRIS AND PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE.
Subtask 73-11-06-420-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL A. Installation of the Fuel Filter Element
(2) Install the new EIPC 73-11-06-01-100 FUEL FILTER ELEMENT (3) on the fuel filter housing as follows:
(a) ApplyP03-001 lubricant, aircraft turbine engine (synthetic base) to the new EIPC 73-11-06-01-110 PACKING (1) and the two detail packings on the fuel filter element (3).
(b) Install the packing (1) to the fuel filter housing.
(c) Install the fuel filter element (3) in the fuel filter housing.
(3) Installation of the fuel filter bowl (2):
(b) Check the ratchet lever on the housing to make sure it is in contact with the flange of the bowl (2).
5. Close-upWARNING:
DO NOT GET FUEL IN YOUR MOUTH, EYES OR ON YOUR SKIN. DO NOT BREATHE THE FUMES FROM THE FUEL. KEEP THE FUEL AWAY FROM SPARKS, FLAME AND HEAT. FUEL IS POISONOUS AND FLAMMABLE, WHICH CAN CAUSE INJURIES TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
CAUTION:
YOU MUST NOT LET ENGINE FUEL OR OIL FALL ON THE ENGINE. UNWANTED FUEL OR OIL MUST BE REMOVED IMMEDIATELY WITH A CLEAN LINT-FREE CLOTH. THE FUEL OR OIL CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE SURFACE PROTECTION AND TO SOME PARTS.
CAUTION:
REMOVE THE PROTECTION COVERS FROM THE OPENINGS AS NECESSARY TO PREVENT ENGINE DAMAGE.
(1) Make sure that you remove all the necessary COVER - PROTECTION to prevent damage to the engine.(2) Install the new EIPC 73-11-06-01-100 FUEL FILTER ELEMENT (3) on the fuel filter housing as follows:
(a) Apply
(b) Install the packing (1) to the fuel filter housing.
(c) Install the fuel filter element (3) in the fuel filter housing.
(3) Installation of the fuel filter bowl (2):
CAUTION:
MAKE SURE THAT THE RATCHET LEVER TOUCHES THE FILTER BOWL. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THIS CAUTION, THE BOWL CAN COME LOOSE AND CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE.
(a) Install and turn the bowl (2) onto the fuel filter housing with your hands only. (b) Check the ratchet lever on the housing to make sure it is in contact with the flange of the bowl (2).
NOTE: The latch is an additional safety measure. As long as the ratchet lever touches the bowl, the ratchet lever can be in between two fuel filter bowl teeth. If the bowl were to become loose while the engine is in operation, the lever will catch the next available tooth on the filter bowl.
(4) Examine the assembly for foreign objects, damage and correct assembly. Subtask 73-11-06-410-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Close the right thrust-reverser cowl-door (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-00-410-802):
