4. Procedure
Subtask 57-26-00-020-050-A
A. Removal of the Pylon Spigot Sleeve
   (1) Remove and discard the cotter pin (4).
   (2) Install the 98D57004029000 SPANNER, PYLON SLEEVE on the nut (2).
NOTE: It may be necessary to remove the sealant from the recess of the nut (2) and from around the top of the spigot sleeve (1). This will make the removal of the nut (2) easier.
   (3) Remove the nut (2).
   (4) Clean the threads of the spigot sleeve (1):
     (a) Use a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) , made moist with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) , to clean the threads of the spigot sleeve (1).
   (5) Install the 98D57004028000 EXTRACT0R - PYLON SLEEVE:
NOTE: It may be easier to remove the hydraulic cylinder (23) from the body assembly (19) before you attach it to the support structure (16).
     (a) Loosen the clamp screw (24) and remove the hydraulic cylinder (23) from the body assembly (19).
     (b) Install the adaptor (27) into the spigot sleeve (1) until the flange is against the end of the spigot sleeve (1).
     (c) Put the bolts (17) in position through the support structure (16) and install the body assembly (19) with the nuts (18).
     (d) Install the hydraulic cylinder (23) in the clamp assembly (25) and tighten the clamp screw (24).
     (e) Put the extractor rod (22) through the hole of the hydraulic cylinder (23) and install it into the adaptor (27) (as far as possible) until hand tight.
     (f) Connect the hose (20) of a hydraulic hand pump to the hydraulic cylinder adaptor (21).
     (g) Use the hydraulic hand pump to pressurize the hydraulic cylinder (23) until the spigot sleeve (1) moves. Stop pressurization of the hydraulic cylinder (23) when the face of the adaptor (27) touches the stop screw (26).
     (h) Release the hydraulic pressure and disconnect the hose (20) from the hydraulic cylinder adaptor (21).
     (i) Remove the extractor rod (22) from the adaptor (27).
     (j) Hold the 98D57004028000 EXTRACT0R - PYLON SLEEVE and remove the nuts (18).
     (k) Remove the 98D57004028000 EXTRACT0R - PYLON SLEEVE and the bolts (17).
     (l) Remove the adaptor (27) from the spigot sleeve (1).
   (6) Remove the spigot sleeve (1) from the spigot (5) by hand. If the spigot sleeve (1) cannot be removed by hand:
     (a) Remove the stop screw (26) from the body assembly (19) of the extractor tool.
     (b) Do the steps 5(a) thru 5(l) again.
