Subtask 54-51-41-860-054-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Safety Precautions
(1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is(are) in position to tell persons not to start engine 1(2).
(2) On overhead maintenance panel 50VU:
(a) Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR 1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(b) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is(are) in position to tell persons not to energize FADEC 1(2).
(3) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE is in position:
(a) For the left pylon, at zones 410 and 470
(b) For the right pylon, at zones 420 and 480.
(4) Make sure that the fire extinguisher bottles are removed (Ref. AMM TASK 26-21-41-000-001).
Subtask 54-51-41-040-055-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is(are) in position to tell persons not to start engine 1(2).

B. Deactivation of the Thrust Reverser
Subtask 54-51-41-040-055-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE THRUST REVERSER IS LOCKED. IF NOT, THE THRUST REVERSER CAN OPERATE ACCIDENTALLY AND CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONNEL AND/OR DAMAGE TO THE REVERSER.
(1) Make sure that the thrust reverser is unserviceable for maintenance (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-040-012). B. Deactivation of the Thrust Reverser
Subtask 54-51-41-914-054-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE THRUST REVERSER IS LOCKED. IF NOT, THE THRUST REVERSER CAN OPERATE ACCIDENTALLY AND CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONNEL AND/OR DAMAGE TO THE REVERSER.
(1) Make sure that the thrust reverser is unserviceable for maintenance (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-481-041). C. Preparation of the Replacement Component
(1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(a) Clean the external surfaces of the spigot ball joint (3) and the bolts (1) and (2) with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and the Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
(2) Do a visual inspection of the spigot ball joint (3).
4. Procedure(1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(a) Clean the external surfaces of the spigot ball joint (3) and the bolts (1) and (2) with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and the Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
(2) Do a visual inspection of the spigot ball joint (3).
Subtask 54-51-41-420-056-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Installation of the Spigot Ball Joint
(1) Put the spigot ball joint (8) in its housing.
(2) Apply Non Hardening Jointing Putty-High Temp. Area - Structure (Material No.06LDG2) on the bolts (6) and (7).
(3) Install the bolts (6) and (7), the washers (9) and the nuts (10).
(4) If you cut the heads of the two bolts (6) and (7) during removal:
(a) Install the new AIPC 54-51-17-02-200 BOLT (6) and the new \AIPC 54-51-17-02-020 BOLT (7) with the heads in the down position.
(5) Tighten the nuts (10).
(6) Remove the unwanted sealant with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and the Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
(7) Cut the tie wrap(s) that safetied the brackets (2) and (3) and the cable (5).
(8) Put the brackets (2) and (3) and the cable (5) in position.
(9) Install the bolts (4) and the nuts (1).
(10) Tighten the nuts (1).
Subtask 54-51-41-420-061-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Put the spigot ball joint (8) in its housing.
(2) Apply Non Hardening Jointing Putty-High Temp. Area - Structure (Material No.06LDG2) on the bolts (6) and (7).
(3) Install the bolts (6) and (7), the washers (9) and the nuts (10).
(4) If you cut the heads of the two bolts (6) and (7) during removal:
(a) Install the new AIPC 54-51-17-02-200 BOLT (6) and the new \AIPC 54-51-17-02-020 BOLT (7) with the heads in the down position.
(5) Tighten the nuts (10).
(6) Remove the unwanted sealant with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and the Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
(7) Cut the tie wrap(s) that safetied the brackets (2) and (3) and the cable (5).
(8) Put the brackets (2) and (3) and the cable (5) in position.
(9) Install the bolts (4) and the nuts (1).
(10) Tighten the nuts (1).
B. Connection of the Bonding Leads of the Spigot at RIB5
(1) Do the electrical bonding at the applicable location on the bonding angles (12) that are installed on the pylon box at RIB5 (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).
(2) Put the bonding leads (14) in position on the bonding angles (12) that are installed on the pylon box at RIB5.
(3) Install the bolts (11) and the nuts (13).
(4) Tighten the nuts (13).
5. Close-up(1) Do the electrical bonding at the applicable location on the bonding angles (12) that are installed on the pylon box at RIB5 (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).
(2) Put the bonding leads (14) in position on the bonding angles (12) that are installed on the pylon box at RIB5.
(3) Install the bolts (11) and the nuts (13).
(4) Tighten the nuts (13).

A. Installation of the Components
(1) Install the fire extinguisher bottles (Ref. AMM TASK 26-21-41-400-001).
(2) Install the pylon lateral access-doors (Ref. AMM TASK 54-51-21-400-001):
