A. Safety Precautions
(1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2) Make sure that engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than 5 minutes before you do this procedure.
(3) On overhead maintenance panel 50VU:
(a) Make sure that the ON legend of ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(b) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to energize FADEC 1(2).

(2) Remove the access panels (Ref. AMM TASK 54-52-11-000-002) (Ref. AMM D/O 54-52-11-00):
(a) For the left pylon: 413AL
(b) For the right pylon: 423AL.
(3) Remove the pylon-to-wing access panels (Ref. AMM TASK 54-53-11-000-002) (Ref. AMM D/O 54-53-11-00):
(a) For the left pylon: 471AL 471BL
(b) For the right pylon: 482AR 482BR.
Subtask 54-50-00-010-052-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position:
(a) For the left pylon, in zone 410
(b) For the right pylon, in zone 420.
(2) Remove the access panels (Ref. AMM TASK 54-52-11-000-002) (Ref. AMM D/O 54-52-11-00):

C. Get Access
(1) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position:
(a) For the left pylon, in zone 410
(b) For the right pylon, in zone 420.
(2) Remove the access panels (Ref. AMM TASK 54-52-11-000-002):
(a) For the left pylon: 413AL
(b) For the right pylon: 423AL.
(3) Remove the pylon-to-wing access panels (Ref. AMM TASK 54-53-11-000-002):
(a) For the left pylon: 471BL 471CL
(b) For the right pylon: 481BR 481CR.
4. Procedure(1) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position:
(a) For the left pylon, in zone 410
(b) For the right pylon, in zone 420.
(2) Remove the access panels (Ref. AMM TASK 54-52-11-000-002):
(a) For the left pylon: 413AL
(b) For the right pylon: 423AL.
(3) Remove the pylon-to-wing access panels (Ref. AMM TASK 54-53-11-000-002):
(a) For the left pylon: 471BL 471CL
(b) For the right pylon: 481BR 481CR.
Subtask 54-50-00-210-052-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Inspection
(1) Routing (1)
(a) Pour water in the area of the drain inlets of the line (1), located on the front upper spar between ribs 3 and 4 and on rear spar between ribs 6 and 7.
(b) Make sure that the drain inlets are not obstructed and that the water flows freely.
(c) Make sure that the water flows freely at the outlet of the drain line (1) located on the lower spar of the forward fairing.
(2) Routing (2)
(a) Pour water in the area of the drain inlet of the drain line (2).
(b) Make sure that the drain inlet is not obstructed and that the water flows freely.
(c) Make sure that the water flows freely at the outlet of the drain line (2) located on the lower spar of the forward fairing.
(3) Dry the inspected drain lines and the area of the drain inlets with compressed air.
Subtask 54-50-00-210-053-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Routing (1)

B. Inspection of the Drain of the Lower Fairing
Drain system of Aft lower Fairing ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
Drain system of Aft lower Fairing ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
(1) Pour water in the drain inlet located on the aft part of the lower spar.
(2) Make sure that the drain inlet is not obstructed and that the water flows freely.
(3) Make sure that the water flows freely at the outlet of the drain line, located on the trailing edge of the lower fairing.
(4) Dry the inspected drain line and the area of the drain inlet inlet with compressed air.
5. Close-up

Drain system of Aft lower Fairing ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (2) Make sure that the drain inlet is not obstructed and that the water flows freely.
(3) Make sure that the water flows freely at the outlet of the drain line, located on the trailing edge of the lower fairing.
(4) Dry the inspected drain line and the area of the drain inlet inlet with compressed air.

(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Install the access panels (Ref. AMM TASK 54-52-11-400-002) (Ref. AMM D/O 54-52-11-40):
(a) For the left pylon 413AL
(b) For the right pylon 423AL.
(3) Install the pylon-to-wing access panels (Ref. AMM TASK 54-53-11-400-002) (Ref. AMM D/O 54-53-11-40):
(a) For the left pylon: 471AL 471BL
(b) For the right pylon: 482AR 482BR.
(4) Remove the access platform(s).
(5) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
Subtask 54-50-00-410-052-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Install the access panels (Ref. AMM TASK 54-52-11-400-002) (Ref. AMM D/O 54-52-11-40):
(a) For the left pylon 413AL
(b) For the right pylon 423AL.
(3) Install the pylon-to-wing access panels (Ref. AMM TASK 54-53-11-400-002) (Ref. AMM D/O 54-53-11-40):
(a) For the left pylon: 471AL 471BL
(b) For the right pylon: 482AR 482BR.
(4) Remove the access platform(s).
(5) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
B. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Install the access panels (Ref. AMM TASK 54-52-11-400-002):
(a) For the left pylon 413AL
(b) For the right pylon 423AL.
(3) Install the pylon-to-wing access panels (Ref. AMM TASK 54-53-11-400-002):
(a) For the left pylon: 471BL 471CL
(b) For the right pylon: 481BR 481CR.
(4) Remove the access platform(s).
(5) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Install the access panels (Ref. AMM TASK 54-52-11-400-002):
(a) For the left pylon 413AL
(b) For the right pylon 423AL.
(3) Install the pylon-to-wing access panels (Ref. AMM TASK 54-53-11-400-002):
(a) For the left pylon: 471BL 471CL
(b) For the right pylon: 481BR 481CR.
(4) Remove the access platform(s).
(5) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
