A. Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).

B. Get Access
   (1) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 5M (16 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position in front of the applicable emergency exit.
   (2) Open the applicable emergency exit (Ref. AMM TASK 52-22-00-010-002).
   (3) Obey the special precautions before you start work on the emergency exit (Ref. AMM TASK 52-22-00-860-003).
   (4) Close and lock the applicable emergency exit.

C. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Do an EIS start procedure (Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-001).
   (2) Set the DOOR page.

A. Operational Test of the Warning System Related to the Emergency Exit
   (1) Do the test below:

RESULT
1.On the emergency control handle of the forward left emergency-exit:
  • Remove the 98A52107632000 PIN - SAFETY SLIDE.
  • Put the handle in the ARMED position.
On the lower ECAM DU, on the "DOOR/OXY" page:
  • The symbol of the forward left emergency-exit comes into view in green.
  • The "SLIDE" message comes into view in white.
    On the forward left emergengy-exit:
  • "SLIDE ARMED" indicator light 21WN1 is off.
2.On the forward left emergency-exit, hold the door and pull the inner control handle until the visual indicator is in the UNLOCKED position.
On the lower ECAM DU, on the "DOOR/OXY" page:
  • The "EMERGENCY" message and the symbol for the forward left emergency-exit come into view in amber.
    The "SLIDE" message stays shown in white.
    On the forward left emergengy-exit:
  • "SLIDE ARMED" indicator light 21WN1 comes on.
3.On the forward left emergency-exit door:
  • Put the emergency control handle in the DISARMED position. Install the 98A52107632000 PIN - SAFETY SLIDE.
  • Push the inner control handle of the door down until the visual indicator is in the LOCKED position.
On the lower ECAM DU, on the "DOOR/OXY" page:
  • The "SLIDE" message goes out of view.
    On the forward left emergency-exit:
  • "SLIDE ARMED" indicator light 21WN1 goes off.
  • The symbol of the forward left emergency-exit becomes green.
    The "EMERGENCY" message goes out of view.
   (2) Make sure that the clearance between the target and the related proximity switch is in the limits (Ref. AMM TASK 52-71-13-400-002).
   (3) Do steps (1) and (2) for the forward right, aft left and aft right emergency-exits.
NOTE: "SLIDE ARMED" indicator light 21WN2 is on the forward right emergency-exit. "SLIDE ARMED" indicator light 2WN1 is on the aft left emergency-exit. "SLIDE ARMED" indicator light 2WN2 is on the aft right.

C. Close Access
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Obey the special precautions after the work on the emergency exit (Ref. AMM TASK 52-22-00-860-004).
   (3) Close the emergency exit (Ref. AMM TASK 52-22-00-410-002).
   (4) Remove the access platform(s).

D. De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
