A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Make sure that the special precaution of the door damper and emergency operation cylinder is done (Ref. AMM TASK 52-22-00-860-003).
   (2) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 4M (13 FT)-ADJUSTABLE is in position below the open emergency exit door (referred to as door) (Ref. AMM TASK 52-22-00-010-001).
   (3) Make sure that the door lining is removed (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-47-000-012) or (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-47-000-013).

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Make sure that the special precaution of the door damper and emergency operation cylinder is done (Ref. AMM TASK 52-22-00-860-003).
   (2) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 4M (13 FT)-ADJUSTABLE is in position below the open emergency exit door (referred to as door) (Ref. AMM TASK 52-22-00-010-001).
   (3) Make sure that the door lining is removed (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-47-000-802).

B. Make sure that this(these) circuit breaker(s) is(are) open, safetied and tagged:

4. Procedure
Subtask 52-71-13-420-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Installation of the Proximity Switch
F Proximity Switch / Target Adjustment ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
F Proximity Switch / Target Adjustment ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
   (1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (3) Make sure that all the electrical connections are clean and in the correct condition.
   (4) Install the proximity sensor (2) as follows:
     (a) Put the proximity sensor (2) in position in the attachment bracket (3).
     (b) Install the lockwasher (9) and the locknut (8) on the proximity sensor (2).
     (c) Make sure that the lockwasher (9) is correctly engaged in the related hole of the attachment bracket (3).
     (d) TORQUE the locknut (8) to between 2 and 0.2 m.daN (176.99 and 17.70 lbf.in ) T.
WARNING: USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
     (e) Safety the locknut (8) and the lockwasher (9) with 14QFB1Wire-Locking Dia: 0.8 mm CRES Nickel Alloy -.
     (f) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
     (g) Connect the connector (1) to the proximity sensor (2).
   (5) Install the target (4) as follows:
     (a) Install the target (4) on the shaft lever (5).
     (b) Install the lockwasher (6) and the locknut (7) on the target (4).
     (c) Do not tighten the locknut (7) at this time.

B. Adjustment of the Proximity Switch
   (1) Do an adjustment of the applicable proximity switch (Ref. AMM TASK 52-71-00-820-007).

C. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

D. Operational Test
   (1) Do an operational test to make sure that the proximity switch operates correctly (Ref. AMM TASK 52-71-00-710-001).

A. Close Access
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Install the door lining at the applicable section of the door (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-47-400-012) or (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-47-400-013).
   (3) Do the special precaution procedure on the door damper and emergency operation cylinder after work on the door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-22-00-860-004).
   (4) Close the emergency exit door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-22-00-410-001).
   (5) Remove the access platform(s).

A. Close Access
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Install the door lining at the applicable section of the door (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-47-400-802).
   (3) Do the special precaution procedure on the door damper and emergency operation cylinder after work on the door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-22-00-860-004).
   (4) Close the emergency exit door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-22-00-410-001).
   (5) Remove the access platform(s).
