A. Adjustment of the Proximity Switch
Proximity Switches (28WV and 34WV) - Locking Handle of the Cargo Compartment Doors ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
(1) Make sure that the applicable cargo compartment door is correctly locked with the locking handle (4) in the recess of the handle flap (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-002).
(2) Measure clearance J2 between the target (1) and the proximity switch (2) with the GAGE - FEELER.
(3) Make sure that clearance J2 is between 1.60 mm (0.0630 in.) and 2.00 mm (0.0787 in.).
(4) If clearance J2 is not in the tolerance, adjust it as follows:
(a) Open the cargo compartment door and safety it with the actuator safety locks (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
(b) Do the adjustment of the target (1):
1 Loosen the nuts (5).
2 Adjust distance J1 between the locking handle (4) and the T-part of the target (1) to 3.2 mm (0.1 in.).
3 Tighten the nuts (5).
(c) Close the cargo compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-002).
(5) Do a check of clearance J2 again. For this, do steps (1) thru (3).
(6) If clearance J2 is not in the tolerance, do step (4) again.
