A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the aircraft electrical circuits are energized (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(2) On the panel 25VU, make sure that the APU MASTER SW pushbutton switch is off.
(3) Make sure that there is a warning notice in the cockpit to tell persons not to start the APU.
(4) Make sure that the hydraulic systems are depressurized
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
(5) Make sure that the access platform is in position below the APU compartment.
(6) Make sure that the APU access doors are open (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-010-001).
(7) Make sure that the LIGHT control switch 11LJ is set to the on position.
Subtask 49-31-41-865-054-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Make sure that the aircraft electrical circuits are energized (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).

A. Installation of the Nozzles and Manifold
(1) Remove all the blanking caps.
(2) Install the AIPC 49-31-04-50-100 GASKET (4) or AIPC 49-31-84-20-100 GASKET (4) on the nozzle (3).
(3) Install the shield (5) and the nozzle (3) with the new gasket (4) in the combustor casing mount boss (6).
(4) Apply lubricant Lubricant-Anti Seize High Temp. - (Material No.03PBB1) to the bolts (2).
(5) Install the bolts (2) and secure the nozzle (3).
(6) TORQUE the bolts (2) to between 0.85 and 0.79 m.daN (75.22 and 69.91 lbf.in )

(7) Loosen the bolts (2) and re-torque to between 0.51 and 0.45 m.daN (45.13 and 39.82 lbf.in )
.
(8) Connect the manifold (1) to the nozzle connector (3).
(9) TORQUE the manifold nut (1) to between 1.19 and 1.07 m.daN (105.31 and 94.69 lbf.in )
.
(10) Install the clamps (7) with the bolts (8) and nuts (9).
(11) TORQUE the nuts (9) to between 0.51 and 0.45 m.daN (45.13 and 39.82 lbf.in )
.
(12) Connect the manifold connector (10) to the fuel flow divider, torque tighten to the same value as in step (8).
Subtask 49-31-41-865-055-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Remove all the blanking caps.
(2) Install the AIPC 49-31-04-50-100 GASKET (4) or AIPC 49-31-84-20-100 GASKET (4) on the nozzle (3).

B. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

C. Leak Test.
(1) Start and operate the APU for a minimum of five minutes (Ref. AMM TASK 49-00-00-860-005).
(2) Stop the APU (Ref. AMM TASK 49-00-00-860-006).
(3) Open the APU access doors 315AL 316AR (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-010-001).
(4) Examine the fuel nozzles and manifolds for signs of fuel leaks.
5. Close-up(1) Start and operate the APU for a minimum of five minutes (Ref. AMM TASK 49-00-00-860-005).
(2) Stop the APU (Ref. AMM TASK 49-00-00-860-006).
(3) Open the APU access doors 315AL 316AR (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-010-001).
(4) Examine the fuel nozzles and manifolds for signs of fuel leaks.
NOTE: No leaks are permitted.
Subtask 49-31-41-410-052-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Set the LIGHT control switch 11LJ to the off position.
(3) Close the APU access doors 315AL 316AR (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-410-001).
(4) Remove the access platform(s).
(5) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
Subtask 49-31-41-860-052-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Set the LIGHT control switch 11LJ to the off position.
(3) Close the APU access doors 315AL 316AR (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-410-001).
(4) Remove the access platform(s).
(5) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
