A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the warning notice is in position on panel 25VU to tell persons not to start the APU.
(2) Energize the ground service network
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(3) Make sure that the hydraulic systems are depressurized
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
(5) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 4M (13 FT)-ADJUSTABLE is in position below the access door 314AR.
(6) Make sure that access door 314AR is open and safetied in the open position.
(Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-23-010-801).
(7) Make sure that the LIGHT 3LJ is in the ON position.
(8) Make sure that the access door(s) 315AL and 316AR are open.
(9) Make sure that the LIGHT control switch 11 LJ is in the ON position.
(10) Make sure that the Air Intake-Flap is removed (Ref. AMM TASK 49-16-43-000-003).
Subtask 49-16-41-865-089-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Make sure that the warning notice is in position on panel 25VU to tell persons not to start the APU.
(2) Energize the ground service network
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(3) Make sure that the hydraulic systems are depressurized
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
WARNING:
BEFORE YOU START WORK, YOU MUST PUT ON A SAFETY HARNESS AND ATTACH IT TO THE ACCESS PLATFORM. WITHOUT A SAFETY HARNESS, YOU CAN FALL. THIS CAN KILL YOU OR CAUSE YOU INJURY.
(4) Put on and attach a safety harness before you start work in the work area(5) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 4M (13 FT)-ADJUSTABLE is in position below the access door 314AR.
(6) Make sure that access door 314AR is open and safetied in the open position.
(Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-23-010-801).
(7) Make sure that the LIGHT 3LJ is in the ON position.
(8) Make sure that the access door(s) 315AL and 316AR are open.
(9) Make sure that the LIGHT control switch 11 LJ is in the ON position.
(10) Make sure that the Air Intake-Flap is removed (Ref. AMM TASK 49-16-43-000-003).
B. Make sure that this(these) circuit breaker(s) is(are) open, safetied and tagged:

A. Preparation for installation.
(2) Clean the component interface of the aircraft structure with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
(3) Make sure that the component interface of the fixed diverter (18) is clean of sealant.
Subtask 49-16-41-420-056-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL WARNING:
BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU USE CONSUMABLE MATERIALS. OBEY THE MATERIAL MANUFACTURER'S INSTRUCTIONS AND YOUR LOCAL REGULATIONS.
(1) Remove all used sealant from component interface and/or adjacent area of the aircraft structure with a SCRAPER - NON METALLIC. (2) Clean the component interface of the aircraft structure with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
(3) Make sure that the component interface of the fixed diverter (18) is clean of sealant.
B. Installation of the fixed Diverter.
(2) Apply Polysulfide Sealant-Low Adhesion Fillet Structure (Material No.06AEB2) with a non-metallic scraper to the surfaces of the fixed diverter (18) and the component interface of the aircraft structure.
(4) Install the screws (13) and the washers (14). Tighten the screws (13).
(5) Apply Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Fillet - (Material No.06AAB1) to the SEALANT AREA.
(6) Install the screws (10) and clean them from the sealant with a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
(7) Install the washers (12) and the nuts (11) on the screws (10). Tighten the screws (10).
(8) Put the shim (9) between the FR77 and the fixed diverter (18).
(10) Make sure that the electrical bonding of the screws (7) is not higher than 2 milliohms (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-720-005).
(11) Bond the head of the screws (7) with the washers (8) (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).
(12) Apply a bead of Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Fillet - (Material No.06AAB1) between the fixed diverter and the aircraft structure and make it smooth.
5. Close-upWARNING:
BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU USE CONSUMABLE MATERIALS. OBEY THE MATERIAL MANUFACTURER'S INSTRUCTIONS AND YOUR LOCAL REGULATIONS.
(1) Apply Release Agent-- Liquid Wax - (Material No.14DBB1) with a non-metallic scraper to the surfaces of the fixed diverter (18) and the component interface of the aircraft structure. (2) Apply Polysulfide Sealant-Low Adhesion Fillet Structure (Material No.06AEB2) with a non-metallic scraper to the surfaces of the fixed diverter (18) and the component interface of the aircraft structure.
NOTE: Make sure that the screw holes do not show any signs of sealant.
(3) Put the fixed diverter (18) in position and install the screws (15) and the washers (16) and (17). Tighten the screws (15). (4) Install the screws (13) and the washers (14). Tighten the screws (13).
(5) Apply Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Fillet - (Material No.06AAB1) to the SEALANT AREA.
(6) Install the screws (10) and clean them from the sealant with a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
(7) Install the washers (12) and the nuts (11) on the screws (10). Tighten the screws (10).
(8) Put the shim (9) between the FR77 and the fixed diverter (18).
NOTE: If necessary use one or two shims.
(9) Install the screws (7) and the washers (8). Tighten the screws (7). (10) Make sure that the electrical bonding of the screws (7) is not higher than 2 milliohms (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-720-005).
(11) Bond the head of the screws (7) with the washers (8) (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).
(12) Apply a bead of Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Fillet - (Material No.06AAB1) between the fixed diverter and the aircraft structure and make it smooth.
Subtask 49-16-41-410-053-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Close Access
(1) Install the hinge assembly (6):
(a) Put the hinge assembly (6) in position on the flap-actuator control box (5).
(b) Install the screws (4) and (2) and the washers (3) and (1).
(c) Tighten the screws (4) and (2).
(d) Bond the head of the screw (4) with the washer (3) (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).
(2) Install the air intake flap (Ref. AMM TASK 49-16-43-400-003).
(3) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(4) Set the LIGHT control switch 11LJ to the OFF position.
(5) Close the access doors 315AL and 316AR (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-410-001)..
(6) Set the LIGHT control switch 3LJ to the OFF position.
(7) Close access door 314AR (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-23-410-801).
(8) Remove access platforms below the access doors 314AR, 315AL and 316AR.
Subtask 49-16-41-865-064-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Install the hinge assembly (6):
(a) Put the hinge assembly (6) in position on the flap-actuator control box (5).
(b) Install the screws (4) and (2) and the washers (3) and (1).
(c) Tighten the screws (4) and (2).
(d) Bond the head of the screw (4) with the washer (3) (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).
(2) Install the air intake flap (Ref. AMM TASK 49-16-43-400-003).
(3) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(4) Set the LIGHT control switch 11LJ to the OFF position.
(5) Close the access doors 315AL and 316AR (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-410-001)..
(6) Set the LIGHT control switch 3LJ to the OFF position.
(7) Close access door 314AR (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-23-410-801).
(8) Remove access platforms below the access doors 314AR, 315AL and 316AR.
B. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

C. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Put the related hydraulic system in the pressurized configuration (Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
(2) De-energize the ground service network (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002)
(3) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
(4) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(1) Put the related hydraulic system in the pressurized configuration (Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
(2) De-energize the ground service network (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002)
(3) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
(4) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
