A. Installation of the Pressure Regulator Valve (PRV) to Interface Hose Assembly
   (1) If you use the APU to energize the electrical circuits, stop the APU:
   (2) In the cockpit, on the SD bleed page:
     (a) Make sure that the pressure and the temperature of the bleed-air duct system are in ambient conditions.
WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT THE PNEUMATIC SYSTEM IS DEPRESSURIZED BEFORE YOU START WORK. PRESSURIZED AIR CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONNEL.
WARNING: DO NOT TOUCH THE UNIT UNTIL IT IS SUFFICIENTLY COOL TO PREVENT BURNS WHEN YOU DO THE MAINTENANCE TASK(S).
   (3) Remove the COVER - PROTECTION from the hose assembly (5), the engine tube and the fitting on the PRV (50).
CAUTION: APPLY ONLY A THIN LAYER OF (CP5063) SILICON LUBRICANT TO THE THREADS OF THE HOSE TUBE ASSEMBLY COUPLING NUTS AND FITTING ON THE VALVES, AND REMOVE UNWANTED LUBRICANT. KEEP LUBRICANT FROM GOING INTO THE HOSE TUBE ASSEMBLY AND VALVES. IF TOO MUCH LUBRICANT IS USED, THEN LUBRICANT MAY CLOG THE HOSE TUBE ASSEMBLY AND ENTER THE VALVES AND DAMAGE THOSE COMPONENTS.
   (4) Lubricate the threads of the coupling nut and the fitting threads on the PRV (50) with silicone lubricant (Material No.CP5063) .
   (5) Connect the hose assembly (5) to the engine tube.
   (6) Connect the hose assembly (5) to the fitting on the PRV (50).
CAUTION: USE A SECOND WRENCH TO HOLD THE FITTINGS WHEN YOU LOOSEN/TIGHTEN THE TUBE COUPLING NUTS. THIS PREVENTS DAMAGE TO THE TUBES.
   (7) TORQUE the coupling nut on the two ends of the hose assembly (5) to between 150 and 135 lbf.in (1.70 and 1.53 m.daN ) T.

C. Installation of the PRV to HPV Tube Assembly
   (1) Remove the COVER - PROTECTION from the hose tube assembly (40) and the fittings on the valves (30) and (50).
   (2) Lubricate the threads of the coupling nuts and the fittings with silicone lubricant (Material No.
CP5063) .
   (3) Loosely connect the hose tube assembly (40) to the bleed pressure regulator valve (50).
   (4) Loosely connect the hose tube assembly (40) to the HP regulator valve (30).
   (5) Tighten the coupling nuts on the hose tube assembly (40) sufficiently to hold the hose tube assembly in position. Do not torque the coupling nuts at this time.
   (6) Put the clamp (20) on the hose tube assembly (40). Attach the clamp to the bracket on the engine flange Sta. 215 (B8) with the bolt (15).
   (7) Put the clamps (20) on the hose tube assembly (40). Attach the clamp to the bracket on the engine flange Sta. 215 (B8) with the bolt (15) and the nut (45).
   (8) Make sure that the hose tube assembly (40) is in the correct position.
   (9) TORQUE the coupling nuts at the two ends of the hose tube assembly (40) to between 150 and 135 lbf.in (1.70 and 1.53 m.daN ) T.
NOTE: Use a second wrench to hold the fittings on the valves when you torque the coupling nuts on the hose tube assembly.
   (10) TORQUE the bolt (15) and the nut (45) to between 25 and 20 lbf.in (0.28 and 0.23 m.daN )

D. Do this test:
   (1) Pressurize the bleed system through the HP ground connector (
Ref. AMM TASK 36-12-00-860-002) or with the APU (Ref. AMM TASK 36-12-00-860-001).
   (2) 0n the panel 30VU, put the X-BLEED selector switch in the OPEN position.
   (3) If you pressurize the bleed system through the HP ground connector, the supplied pressure 30 psi (2.07 bar) must be stable.
   (4) Make sure that there are no leaks at the junctions of the installed duct.
