A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(2) Make sure that the aircraft electrical circuits are energized.
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(3) In the cockpit, on the overhead panel, on the OXYGEN section of panel 21VU:
(a) Make sure that the CREW SUPPLY pushbutton switch is released (the OFF legend is on).
(b) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is(are) in position to tell persons not to push the CREW SUPPLY pushbutton switch.
(4) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) is in position at access door 812.
(5) Make sure that access door 812 is open (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-010-002).
(6) Make sure that the manual shutoff valve of the crew oxygen-storage cylinder (5750HM) is fully closed.
(7) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is(are) in position to tell persons not to open the manual shutoff valve of the crew oxygen-storage cylinder (5750HM).
(8) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
Subtask 35-13-15-865-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL WARNING:
WHEN YOU DO WORK ON THE GASEOUS OXYGEN SYSTEM, MAKE SURE THAT YOU OBEY ALL THE APPLICABLE SAFETY PRECAUTIONS. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THESE PRECAUTIONS, INJURY TO PERSONS AND/OR DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT CAN OCCUR.
(1) Obey the special precautions when you do work on a gaseous oxygen system (Ref. AMM TASK 35-00-00-860-001).(2) Make sure that the aircraft electrical circuits are energized.
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(3) In the cockpit, on the overhead panel, on the OXYGEN section of panel 21VU:
(a) Make sure that the CREW SUPPLY pushbutton switch is released (the OFF legend is on).

A. Installation of the Oxygen Pressure Regulator/Transmitter
(2) Put the sealing cap (10) in the bag (13) attached to the valve (12).
(3) Connect the oxygen pressure regulator/transmitter (4HT) (3) to the crew oxygen-storage cylinder (5750HM) (14) as follows:
(a) Remove the oxygen pressure regulator/transmitter (4HT) (3) from the BAG - VINYL, SEALED.
(b) Remove the sealing cap (10) from the cylinder valve outlet-port (11).
(c) Put the sealing cap (10) in the bag (13) attached to the valve (12).
(d) Remove the PLUG - BLANKING, APPROVED FOR USE WITH OXYGEN from the inlet port of the oxygen pressure regulator/transmitter (4HT) (3).
(e) Connect the nut (9) to the cylinder valve outlet-port (11) but only on the first thread.
(f) Apply a thin layer of Synthetic Oil base Grease-Fuel and Oxidized Environment Fluorinated - (Material No.03GEE1) on the three next threads of the cylinder valve outlet-port (11).
(g) Tighten the nut (9) with your hand.
(h) TORQUE the nut (9) as follows:

2 Identify the tightened union nuts with a red line (Ref. AMM TASK 20-23-22-910-001).
(4) Connect the oxygen filling hose (1) to the oxygen pressure regulator/transmitter (4HT) (3) as follows:
(a) Remove the cap from the filling port of the oxygen pressure regulator/transmitter (4HT) (3).
(b) Remove the BAG - VINYL and the PLUG - BLANKING, APPROVED FOR USE WITH OXYGEN from the disconnected end of the oxygen filling hose (1).
(c) Install the new AIPC 35-11-01-02-020 RING (2) on the filling port of the oxygen pressure regulator/transmitter (4HT) (3).
(d) Connect the union of the oxygen filling hose (1) to the filling port of the oxygen pressure regulator/transmitter (4HT) (3) but only on the first thread.
(e) Apply a thin layer of Synthetic Oil base Grease-Fuel and Oxidized Environment Fluorinated - (Material No.03GEE1) on the three next threads of the filling port of the oxygen pressure regulator/transmitter (4HT) (3).
(f) Tighten the union of the oxygen filling hose (1) with your hand.
(g) TORQUE the union of the oxygen filling hose (1) as follows:

2 Identify the tightened union nuts with a red line (Ref. AMM TASK 20-23-22-910-001).
(5) Connect the LP oxygen-overpressure hose (5762HM) (6) to the overpressure port of the oxygen pressure regulator/transmitter (4HT) (3) as follows:
(a) Remove the BAG - VINYL and the PLUG - BLANKING, APPROVED FOR USE WITH OXYGEN from the disconnected end of the LP oxygen-overpressure hose (5762HM) (6).
(b) Remove the CAP - BLANKING, APPROVED FOR USE WITH OXYGEN from the overpressure port of the oxygen pressure regulator/transmitter (4HT) (3).
(c) Install the new AIPC 35-12-01-01-010 RING (5) on the overpressure port of the oxygen pressure regulator/transmitter (4HT) (3).
(d) Connect the union of the LP oxygen-overpressure hose (5762HM) (6) to the overpressure port of the oxygen pressure regulator/transmitter (4HT) (3) but only on the first thread.
(e) Apply a thin layer of Synthetic Oil base Grease-Fuel and Oxidized Environment Fluorinated - (Material No.03GEE1) on the three next threads of the overpressure port of the oxygen pressure regulator/transmitter (4HT) (3).
(f) Tighten the union of the LP oxygen-overpressure hose (5762HM) (6) with your hand.
(g) TORQUE the union of the LP oxygen-overpressure hose (5762HM) (6) as follows:

2 Identify the tightened union nuts with a red line (Ref. AMM TASK 20-23-22-910-001).
(6) Connect the oxygen supply hose (5763HM) (7) to the LP outlet port of the oxygen pressure regulator/transmitter (4HT) (3) as follows:
(a) Remove the BAG - VINYL and the PLUG - BLANKING, APPROVED FOR USE WITH OXYGEN from the disconnected end of the oxygen supply hose (5763HM) (7).
(b) Remove the CAP - BLANKING, APPROVED FOR USE WITH OXYGEN from the LP outlet port of the oxygen pressure regulator/transmitter (4HT) (3).
(c) Install the new AIPC 35-12-01-01-010 RING (8) on the LP outlet port of the oxygen pressure regulator/transmitter (4HT) (3).
(d) Connect the union of the oxygen supply hose (5763HM) (7) to the LP outlet port of the oxygen pressure regulator/transmitter (4HT) (3) but only on the first thread.
(e) Apply a thin layer of Synthetic Oil base Grease-Fuel and Oxidized Environment Fluorinated - (Material No.03GEE1) on the three next threads of the LP outlet port of the oxygen pressure regulator/transmitter (4HT) (3).
(f) Tighten the union of the oxygen supply hose (5763HM) (7) with your hand.
(g) TORQUE the union of the oxygen supply hose (5763HM) (7) as follows:

2 Identify the tightened union nuts with a red line (Ref. AMM TASK 20-23-22-910-001).
(7) Remove the CAP - BLANKING from the electrical connector (4).
(8) Remove the CAP - BLANKING from the electrical receptacle of the oxygen pressure regulator/transmitter (4HT) (3).
(9) Connect the electrical connector (4) to the electrical receptacle of the oxygen pressure regulator/transmitter (4HT) (3).
5. Close-upNOTE: The disconnected line ends must not stay open without protections for more than six minutes. Thus, remove the vinyl bags and the blanking plugs from the disconnected line ends only immediately before you connect them again.
(1) Remove the sealing cap (10) from the cylinder valve outlet-port (11). (2) Put the sealing cap (10) in the bag (13) attached to the valve (12).
(3) Connect the oxygen pressure regulator/transmitter (4HT) (3) to the crew oxygen-storage cylinder (5750HM) (14) as follows:
(a) Remove the oxygen pressure regulator/transmitter (4HT) (3) from the BAG - VINYL, SEALED.
(b) Remove the sealing cap (10) from the cylinder valve outlet-port (11).
(c) Put the sealing cap (10) in the bag (13) attached to the valve (12).
(d) Remove the PLUG - BLANKING, APPROVED FOR USE WITH OXYGEN from the inlet port of the oxygen pressure regulator/transmitter (4HT) (3).
(e) Connect the nut (9) to the cylinder valve outlet-port (11) but only on the first thread.
(f) Apply a thin layer of Synthetic Oil base Grease-Fuel and Oxidized Environment Fluorinated - (Material No.03GEE1) on the three next threads of the cylinder valve outlet-port (11).
(g) Tighten the nut (9) with your hand.
(h) TORQUE the nut (9) as follows:
CAUTION:
WHEN YOU TORQUE THE NUT, ALWAYS USE A SECOND WRENCH TO APPLY A COUNTERTORQUE TO THE FITTING.
1 TORQUE the nut (9) to between 8.0 and 7.0 m.daN (59.00 and 51.62 lbf.ft )
. 2 Identify the tightened union nuts with a red line (Ref. AMM TASK 20-23-22-910-001).
(4) Connect the oxygen filling hose (1) to the oxygen pressure regulator/transmitter (4HT) (3) as follows:
(a) Remove the cap from the filling port of the oxygen pressure regulator/transmitter (4HT) (3).
(b) Remove the BAG - VINYL and the PLUG - BLANKING, APPROVED FOR USE WITH OXYGEN from the disconnected end of the oxygen filling hose (1).
(c) Install the new AIPC 35-11-01-02-020 RING (2) on the filling port of the oxygen pressure regulator/transmitter (4HT) (3).
(d) Connect the union of the oxygen filling hose (1) to the filling port of the oxygen pressure regulator/transmitter (4HT) (3) but only on the first thread.
(e) Apply a thin layer of Synthetic Oil base Grease-Fuel and Oxidized Environment Fluorinated - (Material No.03GEE1) on the three next threads of the filling port of the oxygen pressure regulator/transmitter (4HT) (3).
(f) Tighten the union of the oxygen filling hose (1) with your hand.
(g) TORQUE the union of the oxygen filling hose (1) as follows:
CAUTION:
WHEN YOU TORQUE THE NUT, ALWAYS USE A SECOND WRENCH TO APPLY A COUNTERTORQUE TO THE FITTING.
1 TORQUE the union of the oxygen filling hose (1) to between 1.581 and 1.129 m.daN (139.91 and 99.91 lbf.in )

(5) Connect the LP oxygen-overpressure hose (5762HM) (6) to the overpressure port of the oxygen pressure regulator/transmitter (4HT) (3) as follows:
(a) Remove the BAG - VINYL and the PLUG - BLANKING, APPROVED FOR USE WITH OXYGEN from the disconnected end of the LP oxygen-overpressure hose (5762HM) (6).
(b) Remove the CAP - BLANKING, APPROVED FOR USE WITH OXYGEN from the overpressure port of the oxygen pressure regulator/transmitter (4HT) (3).
(c) Install the new AIPC 35-12-01-01-010 RING (5) on the overpressure port of the oxygen pressure regulator/transmitter (4HT) (3).
(d) Connect the union of the LP oxygen-overpressure hose (5762HM) (6) to the overpressure port of the oxygen pressure regulator/transmitter (4HT) (3) but only on the first thread.
(e) Apply a thin layer of Synthetic Oil base Grease-Fuel and Oxidized Environment Fluorinated - (Material No.03GEE1) on the three next threads of the overpressure port of the oxygen pressure regulator/transmitter (4HT) (3).
(f) Tighten the union of the LP oxygen-overpressure hose (5762HM) (6) with your hand.
(g) TORQUE the union of the LP oxygen-overpressure hose (5762HM) (6) as follows:
CAUTION:
WHEN YOU TORQUE THE NUT, ALWAYS USE A SECOND WRENCH TO APPLY A COUNTERTORQUE TO THE FITTING.
1 TORQUE the union of the LP oxygen-overpressure hose (5762HM) (6) to between 2.033 and 1.468 m.daN (14.99 and 10.83 lbf.ft )
. 2 Identify the tightened union nuts with a red line (Ref. AMM TASK 20-23-22-910-001).
(6) Connect the oxygen supply hose (5763HM) (7) to the LP outlet port of the oxygen pressure regulator/transmitter (4HT) (3) as follows:
(a) Remove the BAG - VINYL and the PLUG - BLANKING, APPROVED FOR USE WITH OXYGEN from the disconnected end of the oxygen supply hose (5763HM) (7).
(b) Remove the CAP - BLANKING, APPROVED FOR USE WITH OXYGEN from the LP outlet port of the oxygen pressure regulator/transmitter (4HT) (3).
(c) Install the new AIPC 35-12-01-01-010 RING (8) on the LP outlet port of the oxygen pressure regulator/transmitter (4HT) (3).
(d) Connect the union of the oxygen supply hose (5763HM) (7) to the LP outlet port of the oxygen pressure regulator/transmitter (4HT) (3) but only on the first thread.
(e) Apply a thin layer of Synthetic Oil base Grease-Fuel and Oxidized Environment Fluorinated - (Material No.03GEE1) on the three next threads of the LP outlet port of the oxygen pressure regulator/transmitter (4HT) (3).
(f) Tighten the union of the oxygen supply hose (5763HM) (7) with your hand.
(g) TORQUE the union of the oxygen supply hose (5763HM) (7) as follows:
CAUTION:
WHEN YOU TORQUE THE NUT, ALWAYS USE A SECOND WRENCH TO APPLY A COUNTERTORQUE TO THE FITTING.
1 TORQUE the union of the oxygen supply hose (5763HM) (7) to between 2.033 and 1.468 m.daN (14.99 and 10.83 lbf.ft )
. 2 Identify the tightened union nuts with a red line (Ref. AMM TASK 20-23-22-910-001).
(7) Remove the CAP - BLANKING from the electrical connector (4).
(8) Remove the CAP - BLANKING from the electrical receptacle of the oxygen pressure regulator/transmitter (4HT) (3).
(9) Connect the electrical connector (4) to the electrical receptacle of the oxygen pressure regulator/transmitter (4HT) (3).
Subtask 35-13-15-790-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Leak test
(1) Apply the solution Testing Medium-Leak Detection - Oxygen System (Material No.14CCB6) to the mechanical connections.
(2) Very slowly open the valve of the cylinder (5750 HM) 3.5 to 4 turns.
(3) Let the pressure become stable. This occurs after approximately 90 seconds.
(4) Fully open the cylinder valve.
(5) Examine each connection to make sure that there are no leaks.
(6) Rub off the solution Testing Medium-Leak Detection - Oxygen System (Material No.14CCB6)
Subtask 35-13-15-790-050-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Apply the solution Testing Medium-Leak Detection - Oxygen System (Material No.14CCB6) to the mechanical connections.
(2) Very slowly open the valve of the cylinder (5750 HM) 3.5 to 4 turns.
(3) Let the pressure become stable. This occurs after approximately 90 seconds.
(4) Fully open the cylinder valve.
(5) Examine each connection to make sure that there are no leaks.
(6) Rub off the solution Testing Medium-Leak Detection - Oxygen System (Material No.14CCB6)
A. Leak test
(1) Apply the solution Testing Medium-Leak Detection - Oxygen System (Material No.14CCB6) to the mechanical connections.
(2) Turn the valve of the cylinder (5750 HM) very slowly until it is fully open.
(3) Examine each connection to make sure that there are no leaks.
(4) Rub off the solution Testing Medium-Leak Detection - Oxygen System (Material No.14CCB6)
Subtask 35-13-15-790-053-C ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Apply the solution Testing Medium-Leak Detection - Oxygen System (Material No.14CCB6) to the mechanical connections.
(2) Turn the valve of the cylinder (5750 HM) very slowly until it is fully open.
(3) Examine each connection to make sure that there are no leaks.
(4) Rub off the solution Testing Medium-Leak Detection - Oxygen System (Material No.14CCB6)
B. Leak Check of the Filling Line
(1) FOR [4HT] (XMTR/PRESS REG-OXY)
(a) In the avionics compartment, make sure that:
(c) Connect a NITROGEN COMPRESSED SOURCE - GROUND to the oxygen filling port (2) (5769HM).
(d) Slowly pressurize the oxygen filling port (2) (5769HM) with the NITROGEN COMPRESSED SOURCE - GROUND to 1850 psi (127.55 bar).
(e) Apply Testing Medium-Leak Detection - Oxygen System (Material No.14CCB6) to the connections between the oxygen pressure regulator/transmitter (4HT) and the oxygen filling port (2) (5769HM).
1 If you find leak(s), use the relief function of the NITROGEN COMPRESSED SOURCE - GROUND to release the pressure.
2 Do a check of the torque(s) of the connection(s).
3 Slowly pressurize the oxygen filling port (2) (5769HM) with the NITROGEN COMPRESSED SOURCE - GROUND to 1850 psi (127.55 bar).
4 Apply Testing Medium-Leak Detection - Oxygen System (Material No.14CCB6) to the connections between the oxygen pressure regulator/transmitter (4HT) and the oxygen filling port (2) (5769HM).
(f) Remove the Testing Medium-Leak Detection - Oxygen System (Material No.14CCB6) from the connections with a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
(g) Use the relief function of the NITROGEN COMPRESSED SOURCE - GROUND to release the pressure.
(h) Remove the NITROGEN COMPRESSED SOURCE - GROUND from the oxygen filling port (2) (5769HM).
(i) Install the plug assembly (1) on the oxygen filling port (2) (5769HM).
(j) TORQUE the plug assembly (1) to between 0.73 and 0.63 m.daN (64.60 and 55.75 lbf.in )
.
(k) Identify the tightened union nuts with a red line (Ref. AMM TASK 20-23-22-910-001).
(l) Open the manual shutoff valve.
Subtask 35-13-15-865-052-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) FOR [4HT] (XMTR/PRESS REG-OXY)
(a) In the avionics compartment, make sure that:
- The manual shutoff valve of the crew oxygen-storage cylinder (5750HM) is fully closed.
- The WARNING NOTICE(S) is(are) in position to tell persons not to operate the manual shutoff valve of the crew oxygen-storage cylinder (5750HM).
(c) Connect a NITROGEN COMPRESSED SOURCE - GROUND to the oxygen filling port (2) (5769HM).
(d) Slowly pressurize the oxygen filling port (2) (5769HM) with the NITROGEN COMPRESSED SOURCE - GROUND to 1850 psi (127.55 bar).
(e) Apply Testing Medium-Leak Detection - Oxygen System (Material No.14CCB6) to the connections between the oxygen pressure regulator/transmitter (4HT) and the oxygen filling port (2) (5769HM).
1 If you find leak(s), use the relief function of the NITROGEN COMPRESSED SOURCE - GROUND to release the pressure.
2 Do a check of the torque(s) of the connection(s).
3 Slowly pressurize the oxygen filling port (2) (5769HM) with the NITROGEN COMPRESSED SOURCE - GROUND to 1850 psi (127.55 bar).
4 Apply Testing Medium-Leak Detection - Oxygen System (Material No.14CCB6) to the connections between the oxygen pressure regulator/transmitter (4HT) and the oxygen filling port (2) (5769HM).
(f) Remove the Testing Medium-Leak Detection - Oxygen System (Material No.14CCB6) from the connections with a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
(g) Use the relief function of the NITROGEN COMPRESSED SOURCE - GROUND to release the pressure.
(h) Remove the NITROGEN COMPRESSED SOURCE - GROUND from the oxygen filling port (2) (5769HM).
(i) Install the plug assembly (1) on the oxygen filling port (2) (5769HM).
(j) TORQUE the plug assembly (1) to between 0.73 and 0.63 m.daN (64.60 and 55.75 lbf.in )
. (k) Identify the tightened union nuts with a red line (Ref. AMM TASK 20-23-22-910-001).
(l) Open the manual shutoff valve.
CAUTION:
WHEN YOU OPEN THE MANUAL SHUTOFF VALVE ON THE CREW OXYGEN-STORAGE CYLINDER, MAKE SURE THAT:
1 Slowly and fully open the manual shutoff valve of the crew oxygen-storage cylinder (5750HM). - YOU TURN IT VERY SLOWLY
- YOU TURN IT UNTIL IT IS FULLY OPEN.
C. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

D. Bleeding of the Crew Oxygen System
(1) Do the bleeding procedure of the crew oxygen system (Ref. AMM TASK 35-10-00-870-802).

E. Close Access
(1) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(2) Close access door 812 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-410-002).
(3) Remove the access platform(s).

F. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
