Functional Test of the Normal Braking System after Removal/Installation of one Normal Servovalve
WARNING:
PUT THE SAFETY DEVICES AND THE WARNING NOTICES IN POSITION BEFORE YOU START A TASK ON OR NEAR:
- THE FLIGHT CONTROLS
- THE FLIGHT CONTROL SURFACES
- THE LANDING GEAR AND THE RELATED DOORS
- COMPONENTS THAT MOVE.
WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE GROUND SAFETY-LOCKS ARE IN POSITION ON THE LANDING GEAR. THIS WILL PREVENT UNWANTED MOVEMENT OF THE LANDING GEAR, AND THUS POSSIBLE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT AND/OR EQUIPMENT.
WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE TRAVEL RANGES OF THE FLIGHT CONTROLS SURFACES ARE CLEAR. MOVEMENT OF FLIGHT CONTROLS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND/OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE CONTROLS AGREE WITH THE POSITION OF THE ITEMS THEY OPERATE BEFORE YOU PRESSURIZE A HYDRAULIC SYSTEM. UNWANTED MOVEMENT OF HYDRAULICALLY OPERATED ITEMS CAN CAUSE SERIOUS INJURY AND/OR DAMAGE.
WARNING:
PRESSURIZE ONLY THE HYDRAULIC SYSTEM(S) THAT IS (ARE) NECESSARY FOR THE TASK. ISOLATE THE OTHER HYDRAULIC SYSTEM(S) BEFORE YOU SUPPLY HYDRAULIC POWER TO THE AIRCRAFT.
WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT ALL THE CIRCUITS IN MAINTENANCE ARE ISOLATED BEFORE YOU SUPPLY ELECTRICAL POWER TO THE AIRCRAFT. UNWANTED ELECTRICAL POWER CAN BE DANGEROUS.

A. Preparation for Test
(1) Do the BITE Test of the BSCU (Ground Scanning) (Ref. AMM TASK 32-46-00-740-002).
(3) On BSCU CHAN 1(2)/SPECIFIC DATA page, push the line key adjacent to the SYSTEM DATA page.
Subtask 32-42-00-720-054-B (1) Do the BITE Test of the BSCU (Ground Scanning) (Ref. AMM TASK 32-46-00-740-002).
- Make sure that there is no fault message related to the Normal pressure transducers.
(3) On BSCU CHAN 1(2)/SPECIFIC DATA page, push the line key adjacent to the SYSTEM DATA page.
B. Do this test:
Subtask 32-42-00-860-099-A | ACTION | RESULT |
|---|---|
| 1.Open the circuit breakers 1GG, 3GG. Then close the circuit breakers 1GG first, then 3GG to make sure that you put the BSCU CHAN 1 in the active mode. | |
2.On the Captain or First Officer side:
| |
3.On the MCDU, on System data page 1/3 given at step 4.A. (Ref. AMM D/O 32-46-00-00):
| The hydraulic pressure value of the related Normal pressure transducer (related to the Normal servovalve that you replaced) is equal to 175 -10 bar or +10 bar (2538 -145 psi or +145 psi). |
| 4.Slowly release the two brake pedals. | |
| 5.On the MCDU, push the line key adjacent to the REFRESH indication. | The hydraulic pressure value of the related Normal pressure transducer (related to the Normal servovalve that you replaced) is less than 6 bar (87 psi). |
| 6.Open circuit breakers 1GG. Then close it to make sure that you put BSCU CHAN 2 in the active mode. | |
| 7.Do again the steps 2 to 5 with BSCU CHAN 2 in the active mode | Same results as for BSCU CHAN 1 in the active mode. |
