3. Job Set-up

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) On panel 400VU, make sure that the L/G normal control-lever is in the DOWN position.
   (2) On panel 402VU, make sure that the A/SKID & NOSE WHEEL switch is in the ON position.
   (3) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
   (4) Do the IR alignment procedure (Ref. AMM TASK 34-10-00-860-004).
   (5) On one MCDU, get the SYSTEM REPORT/TEST/L/G page (Ref. AMM TASK 31-32-00-860-009).

   (1) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) on the L/G normal control-lever to tell persons not to move it.

A. Do this test:
NOTE: This test is for CHAN/SYS 1. For CHAN/SYS 2, use the indications between parentheses.
ACTION
RESULT
1.On the MCDU, push the line key adjacent to the BSCU 1(2) indication.
  • the BSCU CHAN/SYS 1(2) page comes into view.
2.Push the line key adjacent to the GROUND SCANNING indication.
  • the BSCU CHAN/SYS 1(2)/GROUND SCANNING page comes into view.
    If the test finds no faults:
    - the NO FAULT DETECTED indication comes into view.
    If the test results are incorrect:
    - a list of faults comes into view.
NOTE: The prompt ">" to the right of the Class number shows that there are TSD pages related to this fault. Push the line key adjacent to the prompt to get access to these pages.
3.Push the line key adjacent to the RETURN indication to get the SYSTEM REPORT/TEST/L/G page.

5. Close-up

A. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
   (1) On the MCDU, push the line select key adjacent to the RETURN indication until the CFDS menu page comes into view.
   (2) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
   (3) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
