Subtask 34-10-00-860-057-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(2) Do the EIS start procedure (Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-001).
(3) On the overhead panel:
(a) On the ADIRS CDU, make sure that the three OFF/NAV/ATT selector switches are set to OFF.
(4) On the glareshield panel, on the CAPT and F/O EFIS control-sections of the Flight Control Unit (FCU), set the mode selector switches to ROSE/NAV.
(5) During the alignment, set the NAV mode, and until the NAV mode is shown, make sure that the aircraft does not move.
(6) If you replace the ADIRU with a new one, do a second complete alignment because the ADIRU position recorded in the spare unit is too far from the aircraft position.

NOTE: The time for alignment is shown:

On the right side of the ADIRS CDU, if the DATA DISPLAY selector switch is set to HDG. The indication shown is TTN5.
On the upper ECAM DU, from 6 MN to 1 MN. The indication shown is IRS IN ALIGN 6 MN.

Subtask 34-10-00-860-057-C ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(2) Do the EIS start procedure (Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-001).
(3) On the overhead panel:
(a) On ADIRS MSU panel 41VU, make sure that the three OFF/NAV/ATT selector switches are set to OFF.
(4) On the glareshield panel, on the CAPT and F/O EFIS control-sections of the Flight Control Unit (FCU), set the mode selector switches to ROSE/NAV.
(5) During the alignment, set the NAV mode, and until the NAV mode is shown, make sure that the aircraft does not move.

NOTE: The time for alignment is shown on the upper ECAM DU, from 6 MN to 1 MN. The indication shown is IRS IN ALIGN 6 MN.

(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 1M(3 FT) in position below access door 822.
(2) Open access door 822.
(3) On battery power center 105VU:

A. IR Alignment from the Air Data/Inertial Reference System (ADIRS) Control and Display Unit (CDU)

ACTION	RESULT
On the ADIRS CDU: Set the three OFF/NAV/ATT selector switches to NAV.	On the ADIRS CDU: It is possible that the OFF legend of the ADR1, ADR2 and ADR3 pushbutton switches flashes. It is possible that the ON BAT light comes on. It is possible that the ALIGN legend of the IR1, IR2 and IR3 pushbutton switches comes on. After approximately 40 seconds: On the CAPT and F/O PFDs: . The ATT warning flags go out of view. . The attitude data come into view. On the upper ECAM Display Unit (DU), the memo section shows IRS IN ALIGN > 7 MN.
Set the DATA DISPLAY selector switch to PPOS. Set the SYS DISPLAY selector switch to 1.
On the CDU keyboard, enter the present position. For example: Toulouse. N 43° 36' 8'' then push the ENT key, E 1° 21' 9'' then push the ENT key. NOTE: If the coordinates are incorrect, it is necessary to push the CLR key and enter new data. NOTE: If an incorrect longitude is entered two times in the sequence during PPOS entry, the ADIRUs will accept this position until the subsequent alignment.	The ADIRS CDU shows the coordinates N 43-36-8 (in the left part of the screen) and E 1-21-9 (in the right part of the screen).
Set the SYS DISPLAY selector switch to 2, then to 3 and make sure that the coordinates shown are the same for the three Air Data/Inertial Reference Units (ADIRUs). Set the SYS DISPLAY selector switch to 1.	After approximately five minutes: On the CAPT and F/O NDs, the HDG warning flags go out of view and the heading dial comes into view. After approximately ten minutes: On the ADIRS CDU, the ALIGN legend of the IR1, IR2 and IR3 annunciators goes off. On the upper ECAM DU, the IRS IN ALIGN 1 MN indication goes out of view (the ADIRUs are in the NAV mode).

MAINTENANCE INDICATION ON THE CDU	DESCRIPTION
STS - IRU FAULT	Very important failure. Remove the Inertial Reference Unit (IRU) for maintenance.
STS - DELAYED MAINT	Not very important failure. Remove the IRU if necessary.
STS - ENTER P POS	Enter the present position.
STS - SELECT ATT	Not very important failure. Set the ATT mode
STS - XCESS MOTION	Too much movements of the aircraft during the alignment.
STS - ADR FAULT	ADR non valid.
STS - CHECK CK/BK	Do the check of the circuit breaker.
STS - CDU FAULT	Remove the CDU for maintenance.
STS - ENT MAG HDG	Enter the magnetic heading in attitude mode.

NOTE: These status indications are given for information. They come into view only when the DATA DISPLAY selector switch on the ADIRS CDU is set to STS, after a fault detection.

B. IR Alignment from the Multipurpose Control and Display Unit (MCDU):

1.On Air Data/Inertial Reference System (ADIRS) Mode Selector Unit (MSU) panel 41VU: Set the three OFF/NAV/ATT selector switches to NAV.	On ADIRS MSU panel 41VU: It is possible that the OFF legend of the ADR1, ADR2 and ADR3 pushbutton switches flashes. It is possible that the ON BAT light comes on. Enter an airline route code with the MCDU keyboard.	The code number is shown in the scratchpad line (in the bottom part of the MCDU).
Push the line key adjacent to the CO RTE indication.	The code number comes into view below the CO RTE indication.
Push the line key adjacent to the IRS INIT indication.	The IRIS INIT page comes into view. The latitude/longitude coordinates of the FM reference airport are shown on line 1. The slew prompts (the up and down arrows) adjacent to the LAT indication are shown. The GPS position is shown on line 2 (if the GPS function is available). The position of each IRS is shown on lines 3 to 5. The ALIGN ON REF indication is shown on the line adjacent to line key 6R. NOTE: You can increase or decrease the latitude or/and longitude magnitude as shown in Para. 4 and 5. If no latitude or longitude change is necessary, you can go to Para. 6. After approximately ten minutes: On the ADIRS CDU, the ALIGN legend of IR1, IR2 and IR3 goes off. On the upper ECAM DU, the IRS IN ALIGN 1 MN indication goes out of view.

(2) Tighten the two screws.
(3) Close access door 822.
(4) Remove the access platform(s).

(1) Do the EIS stop procedure
(Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-002).
(2) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
