B. Safety Precautions
(1) As necessary, use the applicable SAFETY BARRIERS, specified by the operator's instructions and your local regulations.
(2) Make sure that the ground safety locks are on the landing gear (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-481-001).
(3) On the panel 400VU:
Subtask 32-33-17-010-051-A (1) As necessary, use the applicable SAFETY BARRIERS, specified by the operator's instructions and your local regulations.
(2) Make sure that the ground safety locks are on the landing gear (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-481-001).
(3) On the panel 400VU:
- Make sure that the landing-gear control-lever 6GA is in the DOWN position.
- Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate the landing gear.
C. Get Access
(1) Open the right MLG door (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-010-001).
(2) Make sure that the 460005835 SLEEVE - GROUND LOCK is on the applicable main gear door actuator.
(3) Remove the right hand passenger seats between frame 36 and 42 (Ref. AMM TASK 25-21-41-000-001).
(4) Remove the center floor covering between frame 36 and frame 42 (Ref. AMM TASK 25-28-41-000-001).
(5) Remove the floor panel 242FF (Ref. AMM TASK 53-32-12-000-002).
Subtask 32-33-17-560-050-A (1) Open the right MLG door (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-010-001).
(2) Make sure that the 460005835 SLEEVE - GROUND LOCK is on the applicable main gear door actuator.
(3) Remove the right hand passenger seats between frame 36 and 42 (Ref. AMM TASK 25-21-41-000-001).
(4) Remove the center floor covering between frame 36 and frame 42 (Ref. AMM TASK 25-28-41-000-001).
(5) Remove the floor panel 242FF (Ref. AMM TASK 53-32-12-000-002).
D. Remove the MLG Free-Fall Extension Cables
(1) Remove the locking clips (30).
(2) Put match marks on the cables before you loosen them.
(3) Loosen the turnbuckles (31) from the cables (32) and (33).
(4) Remove the cables from the pulley assembly (34).
4. Procedure(1) Remove the locking clips (30).
(2) Put match marks on the cables before you loosen them.
(3) Loosen the turnbuckles (31) from the cables (32) and (33).
(4) Remove the cables from the pulley assembly (34).

A. Replacement of the Shear-Pins
(1) Turn the pulley assembly (34) until you can get access to the shear pins (39).
(2) Remove and discard the cotter pins (35).
(3) Remove the castellated nuts (36) the washers (37) and the bolts (40).
(4) Remove the lock plates (38).
(5) Remove the top half of the shear-pins (39).
(6) Use a PIN DRIFT parallel pin punch and push the sheared-off part of the shear-pins through the pulley assembly (34).
(7) Remove the debris from the pulley assembly (34).
(8) Clean the pulley assembly (34) and the adjacent area with a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) made moist with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) .
(9) Apply Synthetic Oil base Grease-General Purpose Lithium Thickened - (Material No.03GBD1) to the new AIPC 32-33-03-32-040 SHEAR-PINS (39)
(10) Make sure that the shear-pin holds in the pulley assembly (34) and in the pulleys (41) are in line.
(11) Install the shear-pins (39).
(12) Put the lock plates (38) in position.
(13) Install the bolts (40) the washers (37) and the castellated nuts (36).
(14) Safety the castellated nuts (36) with the new AIPC 32-33-03-32-170 COTTER-PIN (24).
(15) Install and adjust the MLG free-fall extension cables (32) and (33) on the pulley assembly (34) as follows:
(a) Put the cables (32) and (33) in position in the pulley assembly (34).
(b) Connect each cable to its related cable with the turnbuckles (31)
(c) Temporarily attach the locking pins (30).
(d) Adjust the free-fall extension cables (Ref. AMM TASK 32-33-00-820-003).
(e) Do a cable tension check on the free-fall extension cables that were loosened (Ref. AMM TASK 32-33-00-200-001).
Subtask 32-33-17-720-051-A (1) Turn the pulley assembly (34) until you can get access to the shear pins (39).

(9) Apply Synthetic Oil base Grease-General Purpose Lithium Thickened - (Material No.03GBD1) to the new AIPC 32-33-03-32-040 SHEAR-PINS (39)
(10) Make sure that the shear-pin holds in the pulley assembly (34) and in the pulleys (41) are in line.
(11) Install the shear-pins (39).
(12) Put the lock plates (38) in position.
(13) Install the bolts (40) the washers (37) and the castellated nuts (36).
(14) Safety the castellated nuts (36) with the new AIPC 32-33-03-32-170 COTTER-PIN (24).
(15) Install and adjust the MLG free-fall extension cables (32) and (33) on the pulley assembly (34) as follows:
(a) Put the cables (32) and (33) in position in the pulley assembly (34).
(b) Connect each cable to its related cable with the turnbuckles (31)
(c) Temporarily attach the locking pins (30).
(d) Adjust the free-fall extension cables (Ref. AMM TASK 32-33-00-820-003).
(e) Do a cable tension check on the free-fall extension cables that were loosened (Ref. AMM TASK 32-33-00-200-001).
B. Test
(1) Do a functional check of the free-fall extension system. (Ref. AMM TASK 32-33-00-720-001)

A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Do the applicable steps that follow:
(a) Install the cabin floor panel 242FF (Ref. AMM TASK 53-32-12-400-002).
(b) Install the cabin floor covering (Ref. AMM TASK 25-28-41-400-001).
(c) Install the passenger seats that were removed (Ref. AMM TASK 25-21-41-400-001).
Subtask 32-33-17-942-051-A (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Do the applicable steps that follow:
(a) Install the cabin floor panel 242FF (Ref. AMM TASK 53-32-12-400-002).
(b) Install the cabin floor covering (Ref. AMM TASK 25-28-41-400-001).
(c) Install the passenger seats that were removed (Ref. AMM TASK 25-21-41-400-001).
B. Put the system back to the serviceable condition.
(1) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(2) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
