A. Safety Precautions
(1) As necessary, use the applicable SAFETY BARRIERS, specified by the operator's instructions and your local regulations.
(2) Make sure that the ground safety locks are on the landing gear (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-481-001).
(3) On panel 400VU:

Make sure that the landing-gear control-lever 6GA is in the DOWN position
Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate the landing gear.

B. Flight Configuration Precautions
(1) If the electrical power is not necessary for other maintenance tasks, de-energize the aircraft electrical circuits (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002). Then, it is not necessary to operate the LGCIU circuit breakers.
(2) If the electrical power is necessary, do the precautions for flight configuration (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-860-001) before you open the circuit breakers.

(2) Open the applicable MLG door (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-010-001).
(3) Open the applicable access panel (Ref. AMM TASK 57-51-37-000-008).

(3) Remove the applicable access panel (Ref. AMM TASK 57-51-37-000-008).

(3) Remove the applicable access panel (Ref. AMM TASK 57-51-37-000-008).

4. Procedure
Subtask 32-11-43-020-058-C ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

A. Preparation for Removal of the 1M and 2M Harnesses

MLG Harnesses 1M and 2M ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

WARNING: USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.

(1) Remove and discard the lockwire from the locknuts (11) and (14).
(2) Loosen the locknuts (14) to release the 1M and 2M harnesses from the brackets (15).
(3) Loosen the locknuts (11) to release the 2M harness from the bracket (10).
(4) If necessary, remove the bolts (12), the tab washers (13) and the bracket (10). Discard the tab washers (13).
(5) For the 1M harness, do the steps that follow:
(a) Remove the nuts (19), the washers (17) and the bolts (16) to release the P-clips (18).
(b) Remove the nuts (45) and (48), washers (43) and (47) and bolts (42) to release the P-clips (44) and (46).
(c) Remove the nut (65), the washer (64) and the bolt (62) to release the P-clip (63).
(d) Remove the nuts (52), the washers (51) and the bolts (50) to release the P-clips (49).
(6) For the 2M harness, do the steps that follow:
(a) Remove the nut (68), the washer (67) and the bolt (69) to release the P-clip (66).
(b) Remove nuts (56), the washers (55) and the bolts (53) to release the P-clips (54).
(7) Loosen the band-clamp nuts (26) sufficiently to remove the band-clamps (25) from the line-support blocks.
(8) Make sure that the mystic tape and the line-support blocks stay in position when the band-clamps (25) are removed.
(9) Carefully remove the band-clamps (25) from the leg assembly.

WARNING: USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL A COTTER PIN. EACH TIME YOU REMOVE A COTTER PIN DURING THE TASK, DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. A LOOSE COTTER PIN CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND.

(10) Remove and discard the cotter pins (31).
(11) Remove the nuts (30), the washers (29) and the bolts (27) to release the channels (28).
(12) Remove the nuts (32), the washers (33) and the bolts (35) to release the clamps (34).
(13) Remove the clamp-blocks (36) from the 1M and 2M harnesses.

A. Preparation for Removal of the 1M and 2M Harnesses

MLG Harnesses 1M and 2M ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

CAUTION: DO NOT REMOVE THE NUT, WASHER AND BOLT THAT HOLD THE TWO P-CLIPS TOGETHER (ADJACENT TO THE NORMAL BRAKE MANIFOLD). THIS WILL PREVENT AN INCORRECT ASSEMBLY DURING THE INSTALLATION PROCEDURE.

(4) If necessary, remove the bolts (12), the tab washers (13) and the bracket (10). Discard the tab washers (13).
(5) For the 1M harness, do the steps that follow:
(a) Remove the nuts (19), the washers (17) and the bolts (16) to release the P-clips (18).
(b) Remove the nuts (45) and (48), washers (43) and (47) and bolts (42) to release the P-clips (44) and (46).
(c) Remove the nut (65), the washer (64) and the bolt (62) to release the P-clip (63).
(d) Remove the nuts (52), the washers (51) and the bolts (50) to release the P-clips (49).
(6) For the 2M harness, do the steps that follow:
(a) Remove the nut (68), the washer (67) and the bolt (69) to release the P-clip (66).
(b) Remove nuts (56), the washers (55) and the bolts (53) to release the P-clips (54).
(7) Loosen the band-clamp nuts (26) sufficiently to remove the band-clamps (25) from the line-support blocks.
(8) Make sure that the mystic tape and the line-support blocks stay in position when the band-clamps (25) are removed.
(9) Carefully remove the band-clamps (25) from the leg assembly.

WARNING: USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL A COTTER PIN. EACH TIME YOU REMOVE A COTTER PIN DURING THE TASK, DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. A LOOSE COTTER PIN CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND.

A. Preparation for Removal of the 1M and 2M Harnesses

MLG Harnesses 1M and 2M - Location and Detail ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

(1) Remove and discard the lockwire from the nuts (4) and (6).
(2) Loosen the nuts (6) to release the 1M and 2M harnesses from the brackets (5).
(3) Loosen the nut (4) to release the 2M harness from the bracket (3).
(4) If necessary, remove the bolts (17), the tab washers (18) and the bracket (3). Discard the tab washers (18).
(5) For the 1M Harness:
(a) Remove the bolts (14), the washers (16) and the P-clips (15).
(b) Remove the nuts (38), the washers (39), the bolts (41) and the P-clips (40) from the bracket (37).
(c) Remove the nut (58), the washer (57), the bolt (54) and the P-clip (56) from the bracket (55).
(d) Remove the nuts (45), the washers (44), the bolts (42) and the P-clips (43) from the bracket (46).
(6) For the 2M Harness:
(a) Remove the nut (58), the washer (57), the bolt (54) and the P-clip (56) from the bracket (55).
(b) Remove the nuts (50), the washers (49), the bolts (47) and the P-clips (48) from the bracket (51).
(7) Loosen the band-clamp nuts (25) sufficiently to remove the band-clamps (24) from the line-support blocks.
(8) Make sure that the mystic tape and the line-support blocks stay in position when the band-clamps (24) are removed.
(9) Carefully remove the band-clamps (24) from the leg assembly.
(10) Remove the nuts (29), the washers (28) and the bolts (26). Remove the guide blocks (27).
(11) Remove the nuts (33), the washers (32) and the bolts (30). Remove the line-support block assemblies (31) from the harnesses.

Subtask 32-11-43-020-058-K ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

A. Preparation for Removal of the 1M and 2M Harnesses

MLG Harnesses 1M and 2M - Location and Detail ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

(1) Remove and discard the lockwire from the nuts (4) and (6).
(2) Loosen the nuts (6) to release the 1M and 2M harnesses from the brackets (5).
(3) Loosen the nut (4) to release the 2M harness from the bracket (3).
(4) If necessary, remove the bolts (17), the tab washers (18) and the bracket (3). Discard the tab washers (18).
(5) For the 1M Harness:
(a) Remove the bolts (14), the washers (16) and the P-clips (15).
(b) Remove the nuts (38), the washers (39), the bolts (41) and the P-clips (40) from the bracket (37).
(c) Remove the nut (58), the washer (57), the bolt (54) and the P-clip (56) from the bracket (55).
(d) Remove the nuts (45), the washers (44), the bolts (42) and the P-clips (43) from the bracket (46).
(6) For the 2M Harness:
(a) Remove the nut (58), the washer (57), the bolt (54) and the P-clip (56) from the bracket (55).
(b) Remove the nuts (50), the washers (49), the bolts (47) and the P-clips (48) from the bracket (51).
(7) Loosen the band-clamp nuts (25) sufficiently to remove the band-clamps (24) from the line-support blocks.
(8) Make sure that the mystic tape and the line-support blocks stay in position when the band-clamps (24) are removed.
(9) Carefully remove the band-clamps (24) from the leg assembly.
(10) Remove the nuts (29), the washers (28) and the bolts (26). Remove the guide blocks (27).
(11) Remove the nuts (33), the washers (32), the bolts (30) and the washers (34). Remove the line-support block assemblies (31) from the harnesses.

Subtask 32-11-43-020-061-L ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

B. Removal of the 1M and 2M Harnesses from the MLG Leg

MLG Harnesses 1M and 2M - Location and Detail ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

CAUTION: MAKE SURE THAT ALL ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS ARE IDENTIFIED WITH THEIR FIN NO. TO CORRECTLY CONNECT EACH PLUG TO ITS RELATED RECEPTACLE. INCORRECT CONNECTION OF THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT ELECTRICAL SYSTEM.

(1) For the 1M harness:
(a) Disconnect the electrical connector 4027VC (4028VC) (2) from the MLG disconnection box (Ref. AMM TASK 32-11-46-000-001).
(b) Disconnect the axle-harness electrical plug from the electrical connector (8) LGAB1 (LGAB2) (Ref. AMM TASK 32-11-43-000-003).
(c) Release the electrical connector (8) from the bracket (64) as follows:
1 Loosen the electrical connector (8) backshell.
2 Remove the nuts (66), the washers (65) and the cap screws (63) from the electrical connector (8).
3 Fully loosen the connector (8) backshell and pull back the conduit a small distance until you can see the inner cables.
4 Carefully move the cables out through the slot in the bracket (64).
5 After the cables are released from the bracket (64) loosely install the electrical connector (8) backshell.
(d) Disconnect the electrical connector (9) from the monitoring unit 3GW-A (2GW-A) (Ref. AMM TASK 32-47-18-000-001).
(e) Disconnect the electrical connectors that follow:

For 21GA-A (20GA-A), the electrical connector (7)
For 15GA-A (14GA-A), the electrical connector (13)
For 13GG-A (12GG-A), the electrical connector (71)
For 17GG-A (16GG-A), the electrical connector (72).

(f) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
(g) Carefully remove the 1M harness from the MLG leg.

(2) For the 2M harness:
(a) Disconnect the electrical connector 4029VC (4030VC) (1).
(b) Loosen the screw (92).

(c) Remove and keep the plug (91).
(d) Remove the harness from the liner (90).
(e) Disconnect the axle harness electrical plug from the electrical connector (10) LGAB3 (LGAB4) (Ref. AMM TASK 32-11-43-000-003).
(f) Release the electrical connector (10) from the bracket (59) as follows:
1 Loosen the electrical connector (10) backshell.
2 Remove the nuts (62), the washers (61) and the cap screws (60) from the electrical connector (10).
3 Fully loosen the connector (10) backshell and pull back the conduit a small distance until you can see the inner cables.
4 Carefully move the cables out through the slot in the bracket (59).
5 After the cables are released from the bracket (59) loosely install the electrical connector (10) backshell.
(g) Disconnect the electrical connectors that follow:

For 23GA-A (22GA-A), the electrical connector (11)
For 17GA-A (16GA-A), the electrical connector (12)
For 11GG-A (14GG-A), the electrical connector (70)
For 15GG-A (18GG-A), the electrical connector (73).

(h) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
(i) Carefully remove the 2M harness from the MLG leg.

Subtask 32-11-43-020-061-N ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

B. Removal of 1M and 2M Harnesses from the MLG LEG

(1) For the 1M harness, do the steps that follow:

MLG Harnesses 1M and 2M ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

(a) Disconnect the electrical connector 4027VC (4028VC) (2) from the MLG disconnection box (Ref. AMM TASK 32-11-46-000-001).
(b) Disconnect the electrical plug of the axle harness from the electrical connector LGAB1 (LGAB2) (4) (Ref. AMM TASK 32-11-43-000-003).
(c) Release the electrical connector (4) from the bracket (75) as follows:
1 Loosen the back-shell of the electrical connector (4).
2 Remove the nuts (77), the washers (76) and the cap screws (74) from the electrical connector (4).
3 Fully loosen the back-shell of the electrical connector (4) and pull back the conduit a small distance until you can see the inner cables.
4 Carefully move the cables out through the slot in the bracket (75).
5 After the cables are released from the bracket (75), loosely install the back-shell of the electrical connector (4).

MLG Harnesses 1M and 2M ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

(d) Disconnect the electrical connector (5) from the monitoring unit 3GW-A (2GW-A) (Ref. AMM TASK 32-47-18-000-001).
(e) Disconnect the electrical connectors that follow:

For 21GA-A (20GA-A), the electrical connector (3)
For 15GA-A (14GA-A), the electrical connector (9)
For 13GG-A (12GG-A), the electrical connector (84)
For 17GG-A (16GG-A), the electrical connector (85).

(f) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
(g) Carefully remove the 1M harness from the MLG leg.
(2) For the 2M harness, do the steps that follow:

(a) Disconnect the electrical connector 4029VC (4030VC) (1) from the MLG disconnection box.
(b) Loosen the screw (92).
(c) Remove and retain the plug (91).
(d) Remove the 2M harness from the liner (90).
(e) Disconnect the electrical plug of the axle harness from the electrical connector LGAB3 (LGAB4) (6) (Ref. AMM TASK 32-11-43-000-003).
(f) Release the electrical connector (6) from the bracket (70) as follows:
1 Loosen the back-shell of the electrical connector (6).
2 Remove the nuts (73), the washers (72) and the cap screws (71) from the electrical connector (6).
3 Fully loosen the back-shell of the electrical connector (6) and pull back the conduit a small distance until you can see the inner cables.
4 Carefully move the cables out through the slot in the bracket (70).
5 After the cables are released from the bracket (70), loosely install the back-shell of the electrical connector (6).

MLG Harnesses 1M and 2M ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

(g) Disconnect the electrical connectors that follow:

For 23GA-A (22GA-A), the electrical connector (7)
For 17GA-A (16GA-A), the electrical connector (8)
For 11GG-A (14GG-A), the electrical connector (83)
For 15GG-A (18GG-A), the electrical connector (86).

(h) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
(i) Carefully remove the 2M harness from the MLG leg.
